Recapping our 2024 MLB Best Ball drafting season on Underdog and then hopping into the main contest on Draftkings to draft at least one more time before Opening Day.

Enjoyable experience not having a host you can just kind of relax and we’ll have a good time here so um so I think what we’ll do is uh we’ll just kind of look at our exposures and just kind of talk about our Journeys we’ve drafted all SE season um you know I think

Specifically we’ll look at the danger just the main contest um but I want to share kind of some of my guys get your thoughts um you know feel free to roast away I don’t take myself too seriously so you know you can call me a donkey I

Don’t care um we’ve got Ben our guy Ben from Detroit is here now sheep can live a little yeah he gets to just chill I’m always living just my version is different just chill we take H bees how’s it going man thank you for coming in I’m working on getting my screen

Shared here for everybody and let’s do there we go all right so here are my exposures for just the regular season uh contest in general but let’s look at the Dinger specifically and we’ll take a look at pitchers so um I uh I’m I’m with Nez on

The Grayson Rodriguez thing uh he just has that profile to just absolutely go crazy and I feel like every year this happens where we have these like hot new prospects and we fall in love with the hot new prospects and then the next year it’s like their second year and like

Nobody cares everybody wants Wyatt lford now so I feel like Grayson’s one of those dudes who had a tremendous amount of hype last year and has the profile to being an absolutely dominant pitcher and I’m just banking on the breakout so yeah absolutely when we go

Over to mine you’ll see him right up there towards the top of mine uh uh one I like the well I mean obviously I like the pedigree and you know the good parts of last year but too I liked uh you know how much he actually

Pitched last year which is a good sign for his volume this year uh as well as um he’s not um like a super flashy guy like comparing him to Yuri Perez like um like just the way that he throws compared to Perez like I see his body

Holding up better like just and he’s a bigger guy and just like yeah everything about him like screams Workhorse to me yeah and you know he pitches in a pretty solid ballpark especially for righties lefties you know it’s better for lefties for sure hitters um but you know the Orioles are

Probably going to contend this year and if they do and if if they’re like you know kind of one of the top three seeds in the AL it’s it’s probably going to be in large part because he’s had a really good season so um I felt good about

Having him as my highest exposed pitcher um Tanner BBY just always kind of seemed to be there um you know later in the draft I kind of view him as like a Chris Basset type I don’t know that he’ll throw as many innings as Basset will but

Uh you know kind of a strikeout per inning guy felt just kind of like a safe pick uh I’ve been on rhon since the very beginning uh he just feels like the guy who has the profile to just absolutely nuke you if you completely fade him and

He has that like 2021 2022 season um Yuri Perez I I was drafting a lot of him and uh obviously had to back off with the thing so hopefully he’s fine uh but a couple other good youngsters in here Gavin Williams also kind of tweaked his

Elbow but not like in the same way that Yu Perez did um hunter green massive strikeout potential Bobby Miller kind of a breakout guy so you’re gonna you’re GNA see uh kind of the archetype of guys that I have primarily are just Mega strikeout uh per nine guys and that was

Kind of My Philosophy with with pitching this year yeah a lot of crossover on on your list uh not so much BBY or rone um and like Nick Lolo there I was I was out on um kind of early when we first started getting signs that he hasn’t really

Recovered from the injuries last year um hopefully that he comes back and uh you know is fine but um yeah I don’t have any I don’t have any Futures yet uh no no features on Grayson uh Brad no uh you’ve not missed the biceps talk we haven’t talked about

King Tyler O’Neal yet um we might talk about Wyatt too but we’ll see um let’s uh let’s see oh this gsman number I really ramp this up at at the end of my drafts um he was falling because of the shoulder thing and I don’t feel like he recovered in ADP so

He felt like a discount in pretty much every draft so I don’t really like taking you know single digit pitchers um meaning like you know third fourth round guys but Gman just felt like I needed to to kind of catch the knife you know yeah depending on depending on what

Projections you’re looking at he was you know number two or number three and you know points overall projected for the whole season so when you get him down with uh you know Castillo and Wheeler he’s going in that same group it definitely made sense to pounce there I

Did the same thing yeah it just it felt right so um you know pretty flat at pitcher and that was intentional um you know just the pitching injuries um the Blake Snell number is actually lower than I thought it would be uh I felt like he was mispriced for a very good

Portion of draft season because he was on signed um came in right at the field on Spencer Strider I feel good about that but I really tried to flatten out with pitching because I don’t I don’t know I just can’t I just can’t deal with the the rash of pitching injuries and

Usually pitching injuries are not like oh he’s just gonna miss you know he’s on a the two-e iil it’s like oh his elbow exploded so we’ll see him in two years so that was kind of My Philosophy with pitching this year um I did get a little more concentrated but still uh very

Spread out at infield um Matt Chapman and REE Hoskins want being my two highest owned infielders and Vinnie was right behind them um and you’re going to see a lot of guys in like the infield 50 to 60 range I just kept drafting the same guys late and just hoping that uh

That I hit on them this Francisco Alvarez number um I’m sad because they signed JD Martinez so there goes his DH at bats so I don’t like that as much anymore JD Martinez is also how how many years old and you know he’s guaranteed he’s guaranteed a few uh rest

Weeks that’s true and I’m hoping it’s like they time his rest with for like when they want to give Alvarez like DH bats or whatever right so hopefully he doesn’t lose yeah two many it bats so I mean we’re getting him in in the last round basically so yeah whatever and

Like JD’s Prime to get moved too if they’re if they come out struggling like last year that’s true yeah and if he’s if he’s performing well and a contender needs a needs a bat that’s that’s a very good point um another last round guy that I was clicking a lot it’s Brandon

Lao I just can’t stop believing that that 2021 season he had was real um it’s kind of like my yoan Manata where he had like one amazing gear and I just keep locking and on that can’t stop clicking him um yeah it’s all Health there and I that was not

There were so many other infielders I didn’t I did not feel like taking that risk I don’t know if I have any maybe one or two okay yes I totally get that but again pretty spread out um I was not drafting Josh Naylor at all and then Nez

Convinced me that I probably should so getting up to 12 and a half percent on him is actually like I can’t believe that um yeah so I yeah that that’s when I’m on the opposite side from him on so yeah I’m not like a nailer guy but I

Again I just felt like I kept clicking on the same guys in that same range and I’m like all right let’s let’s diversify this a little bit so um I’m very light overall on Cleveland just not an offense that I had had any love of Naylor’s pretty much the only one that I

Drafted yeah yeah looking here quick I have Andre simz at 9% but that and Ramon Lano at 7% as last drown Outfield flyer but other than that I’m pretty much out yeah I couldn’t do the the Ramone laurano thing again I uh he was I think he was my highest own outfielder last

Year and uh I’m sure you can imagine how well that went for me I know as good as my Brandon woodriff went last year yeah uh and then Outfield um Mike Trout W up being my highest owned outfielder and then Chris Bryant and ELO Jimenez I really love guys who

Don’t play baseball apparently they’re just on the on the I uh just hanging out so that is a trio yeah that’s Trio that’s something that’s something uh yikes but uh Carrie bonds I’m actually surprised I was this heavy on him uh he was just kind of always there at the end

Of drafts how much I mean I can I’ll pull yours up in a minute but how much carry did you have oh I don’t know if I have any really don’t tell don’t tell the chat I won’t they’ll definitely come for you just just a I don’t know a lefty platoon

Guy that in a offense that I don’t know had a lot of questions for me still this year I know there’s some hype on them but I don’t know it could be I could be way wrong on that one uh yeah he feels like the type of

Guy who could like you luck into him playing for a week and he just happens to hit like four home runs I mean that that’s it that’s that’s like the best case scenario I think with this this format um Brad’s got zero carry carry he’s asking uh how much Mike Trout Jr I

Have um this is th this is going to hurt all right this is going to be kind of miserable first off I do want to point out I did condense my ownership in the first round I’ve got 17.9% tatis and 14.3% judge I don’t know that I have a

Single Julio share that’s horrifying but I was just prioritizing tatis over him and Carol so um very little of those guys yeah I was almost all out on Carol yeah it just it just feels too expensive I did draft him a couple times and like did some

Mega Arizona stacks and they were one of my favorite offenses to stack um rip Garrett Mitchell you know sometimes sometimes guys you flag plant on an outfielder who may not play every day or may not be good and then they fracture their hand and it winds up

Blowing up in your face sometimes that happens it’s just you know as much as you’re talking about him uh I kind of expected a higher number so I think you know that could be worse it could definitely be worse I mean 12 and a half% might as well be like 68% because

Nobody else I feel like nobody else is drafting him right but uh you know whatever I did get Nolan Jones up to 11% um we’re just going to keep scrolling and eventually we’ll get to Wyatt Langford at 7.1% Brad is probably he’s probably just laughing just laughing from his yacht

How much Wyatt did you wind up with um let’s see uh 133% okay defitely uh I did get pretty aggressive on Texas uh after I got back from my trip and uh started drafting again um so I was part of the problem I was taking him at like 40 I was like

Taking seagar in the second round and you know trying to get seian to come back and then uh you know putting Wyatt ahead of Evan Carter for sure but uh also trying to get maybe those three or yeah get three of those four together there at the end mostly just because uh

Cory Seager is one of my favorite players and I I was ashamed that I got afraid and you know fell off taking him so I had to get back up I was disappointed with uh where my seagar exposure wound up I I wanted to have a

Lot more his um I’m going to switch my screen real quick and I’m going to show you guys sheep’s exposures his are much easier to see cuz they’re not in I just took a screenshot of it so thank you for making my life easier I just need

To no I I actually made that on accident I I tweeted out you know the separate positions and somehow I made a Twitter link that put them all together into one graphic so okay you don’t have to be good at technology just luckytime uh why isn’t it letting me do what I

Um Bryce Miller at 22 Zack effin at 20 then Bobby Miller fought Hunter Brown usay Kikuchi Gilbert Musgrove Bieber who I have virtually none of um Seth Lugo your guy don’t know if you like that or not but Seth lugo’s your guy um then Walker beer Freddy Peralta and Frankie

Montas who I didn’t get as much of as as I would like so all right I I do think I have my screen shared do you okay if you want to add that there we go thank you sorry about that guys appreciate you helping me out see this is why you should host

Um so see all of sheep’s uh exposures here but um you’re pretty flat too for the most part uh and as far as the uh position players specifically but um doesn’t look like we you know we went too all in on anybody other than you know sha as your highest your highest

Owned guy so was that a you know strategic decision or was it just kind of how things played out for you uh when he when he sat at 140 150 for uh you know the last you know up until the last three weeks um like I was just taking him there he

To me was uh one of the best uh question marks the you know and the price matched like I had no idea what he was going to do in the majors uh or in the US right and like even now you know he gave up you know a

Decent amount of uh base runners in spring so and a bunch of strikeouts so like all the questions are still there uh but where he was going I just felt like he could either be going uh you know 10 Rounds earlier next next year if if things turned out right and he was

One of the few guys in that area that was there uh so I just kept taking him as long as he was there uh and that number came down quite a bit uh when I started drafting again uh because you know I had so much and he was going you

Know 20 30 picks earlier uh than where I was getting him um so yeah that was definitely a strategic decision early um and I would say that in general some of these numbers uh flattened out from you know before the break and coming back just because adps had quite shifted a

Bit a bunch um so there’s definitely a new set of targets that I was that that I was liking at Cost um so ended up being a lot flatter than I had anticipated you know a month ago yeah me too I thought that uh you know like

Reese Hoskins has been like one of my guys from the and I thought I was going to be much heavier on him than I wound up being um but I think that’s one of the maybe at least for me kind of the natural effects of drafting since

November is like the it all it AB flows there’s it it evolves the adps drop they increase you get new information in spring training you adjust to news um so I think that’s one of the reasons why I wound up so flat is just because um just kind of the landscape just kept

Changing and and there were just new targets that I wanted to get in that I hadn’t yet so um I see Seager is your second highest infielder I I love that that’s that’s a really solid number it sounds like you uh you wanted a little bit more

But uh 23% is a pretty a pretty solid number yeah that that came up quite a bit at the end here and and uh you know Machado to uh Machado Seager um and Vinnie P were kind of my risers at the end here into this um we

Did that show with uh Jared on stacking dingers and he he sold me on Vinnie yeah I’ve I’ve kind of been in on him like when you look at um you know baseball sheet with the projections um you know Vinnie wasn’t the highest projected infielder in his range

Necessarily but I just just kind of buying into the the likelihood of him exceeding his median rection higher than those other guys around him I guess was my fin and I think he settled into a spot where I had been taking pitcher before and the pitchers moved up that I

Liked moved up out of his range uh recently uh so I was taking him instead of pictures I didn’t like yeah and the Machado thing I he’s a guy that I wish I had more of but he he was always in this range of pitchers that I really really liked so it wasn’t

Necessarily a fade of Machado as the player it was more of a structural decision for me to not get him or not force him in as much as I would have liked I might regret that but yeah and and maybe uh I’m under selling his his age he’s I think he’s 31 now

Um but like to me he is uh a caliber of hitting that is going that was going at the end of the second round so you know at his Peak and which you know like how far is he removed from his Peak I don’t know but like for me like

Comparing him to Rafel Des for for example like last year that was a decision that people were making comparing him to Austin Riley obviously you know Riley’s younger Riley’s on a better offense but last year that was a decision people were making so you know once we got signs that Manny was healthy

From the surgery in Spring like it didn’t make any sense to me that he was going 30 picks after those guys like he should he should have been you know 10 10 picks after those guys maybe yeah I think he’s gotten sidled with this like injury-prone thing now you know just

From like last year which I don’t necessarily think is fair I also think people don’t like him yeah yeah that’s probably that’s probably very accurate um Brad with a comment here in the chat about how he avoided the catcher situations just a personal troice from being burnt past years for the most part

I did the same but I did uh you and I were pretty much the same on William conteras you were at 16 and I was at 17 um he just feels like a guy who’s just not ever going to lose at bats so I felt okay with that yeah he’s he’s

Like he’s the I don’t want to say he could be the best bat on the Brewers this year yeah so potentially now that Garrett Mitchell’s down so you know um anybody else in the infielders list that you wanted to kind of highlight or talk about and I I I just

Unabashedly love Will Smith some something about his little his his childlike feature no uh just just watching I I end up watching a lot of uh West Coast baseball after family goes to bed so I end up and then you know I end up stacking the Dodgers on Underdog

Often so you know I end up watching a lot of Dodgers games flipping around on West Coast stuff and I I don’t know I just love him um and like I know it’s probably not smart he’s not going to DH much but he’s gonna he’s gonna bat

Fourth fifth in that lineup six days out of the week and like that’s just not something I want to give up and like you see Max mzy there just like I I know people are down on him too but just getting the like getting James you know looking at

Those outfielders the Tasker and who have a fair bit amount and I guess I even have some James Helman you’ll find that I’m really quite low on on Freddy and mookie this year where they were like always stands for me last year and the year before uh CU I thought they

Were undervalued um but this time I just like you can see over there on the Outfield I got Otani peing there at the bottom but I spent a lot more on just like the ancillary pieces just assuming that that offense is going to go off um

And um you know the prices on the other stuff might not be what they should be um that’s kind of something I learned or thought last year um looking at at like the success of the Atlanta Stacks like they they succeeded you know even without obviously if you

Had auna your teams were golden right but you know there was the the if you started at Atlanta stack later in the draft it still had a ton of value last year so that was something I was trying to do uh more this year like when you’re

Drafting I don’t know about you but when I’m drafting I start and you know I take that that guy at the top and then I start stacking guys with those first couple of picks and then as I get through the draft I start adding in other stacks of worse offenses and you

Know like that’s kind of just like the thought how I go through a lot of drafts so in this case I wanted to do more of starting good offensive Stacks later in the draft so like Dodgers um I don’t know Baltimore Maybe I don’t know who else do I have well I

Guess I took gunar Henderson quite a bit but like getting in the Mount Castle and Hayes maybe as part of a mini Baltimore just trying to get good offenses later too yeah and I see you and I were I mean we’re pretty much even on ta as well um

One guy we were really different on is uh was it Julio did I see Julio yeah Julio Rodriguez you’re at like 12% on him I don’t think that I drafted him a single time this year and that is very concerning especially since last year he

Was the guy you almost had to have on your team in like the first and second round of the playoffs to make it out um but it’s just I just made the choice I’m gonna draft th one of those first three guys aunia stto judge if any of them fall

Further I’m drafting them I I don’t care if if Julio there whatever um and then judge’s abdominal injury happened and now he’s fallen to like 6 S8 I’m like I’m just I’m just going to keep taking judge so again it’s it’s more it’s not so much like I don’t like Julio

Rodriguez it’s just I would rather have judge I would rather have Otani I would probably rather have tatis just from a ceiling perspective um which may wind up biting me because Julio Rodriguez is very very good at baseball so um and then of course you’ve got Wyatt

Lenford there at 11% so Brad likes you weigh more than he likes me and that’s fine um that that was another uh change in my overall draft year um you you know you’ll see I do have Jackson Trio up there too at uh almost 133% uh just uh embracing the the risk

More than I had in last year in uh prospects that um really were at the top of the prospect list uh you know I didn’t go deep I didn’t go into like the Colt Keith territory type stuff yeah I’m usually like I’m I’m kind of I’ve been saying I’m more on like

Cardi side kind of when it comes to prospects where I just I have a really hard time buying into them but uh Wyatt and that offense um is is absolutely a guy who could just bury me for fading him when he started rising to like the

The 50s and like the 60s and 50s and sometimes 40s I was like I’ve just kind of made my bed here I’m just going to I’m just gonna hope he doesn’t completely torch me so yeah that’s kind of where I’m at with him now the thing

With W is that even in the really small whatever sample he still projected well which never happens even even the bat had a really great projection relative to how it treats prospects normally so um that really helped me get comfortable with it uh and then chrio was more uh

Because I knew I was looking at uh you know Hoskins not as much in this as the bullpen but adame and contras and you know sell fre like I was fine tacking on um at the end so part part of the trio was getting uh you know overall Brew

Stacks too even though he didn’t project he doesn’t project as well um and is still you know quite young yeah I uh we got John in the chat here he has 41% Josh Young felt like the easiest click um espe like I started getting more of him I liked him early

And then he started to rise and I was like okay it’s fine he got hurt and then he dropped and I feel like people didn’t realize that he’s probably GNA play on opening day like he’s looking good um and so his ADP never recovered so I was

Was getting a lot of Josh Young lately or late in the drafts at the same time that I was trying to pump up Cory Seager so I think I’ve got a lot more Texas Stacks later unfortunately without Wyatt but I at least have exposure to an offense that’s going to be pretty

Elite so yeah yeah and you know I did you know if we want to talk like I think the Michael Harris price is wrong like he was probably cost too much uh but uh for whatever reason I just got into my head this year that I want to be

Ahead of his like super breakout year um so like I was taking him over trout you know I was taking him over Randy Rosara and like I don’t feel comfortable about you know some of the decision like taking him over Pete Alonzo I know a lot

Of people are big on him and like that could really end up being a big Point shift um for me but um something about him this year I just like he’s 23 years old he hits the ball hard uh and like I’m just ready for the breakout so

I loaded up so you’re the guy who was forcing him up the board because I noticed his ADP jumped quite a or it felt like it jumped quite a bit in the in the latter parts of these drafts where he was getting a little too expensive defensive but I’m I’m with you

Like I just didn’t want to miss I didn’t want to miss the breakout season that’s eventually coming so yeah um one more guy will I’m sorry I was gonna say and then the other guy there at the top y hul Le uh very very similar to shoda in

That uh don’t know what he’s going to be uh San Francisco kept adding guys around him um could put him with Chapman uh you know put him uh with Solair uh lead off probably you know just a contact low power guy um not necessarily the profile that we’re

Targeting for best ball um but uh another similar to imaga the the the range on his outcome seemed higher to me than what he was going at yeah he’s and this is so like fascinating just kind of seeing like we’ve we’ve been drafting pretty much all year and just like

Seeing second highest owned outfielder and then when I search his name it’s blank for me so I have none and that’s more of like like you said he’s kind of like uh step Quan right who’s just you know there’s not much power there but he’s gonna get a lot of base hits might

Steal some bases doubles triples stuff like that and that’s a good ballpark for extra base hits but I just felt like he’s a guy that it’s not going to bury me sure you know that’s so I feel okay fading him but he is I think he’s going

To be a fun player to watch so yeah all right um oh structurally did you have a preferred build that you landed on like the huge majority of the time or do you have kind of varied you know 776 677 whatever yeah almost all s76 huge majority like I didn’t uh I

Didn’t keep track this year I didn’t name my drafts I didn’t keep track of my stacks I didn’t keep track of my structures cuz uh I don’t know I just never the last few years I didn’t really find any use in that may maybe I’m not doing enough self uh reflecting as I

Draft and looking at these things but um yeah just so my gut call is like mostly 776 I think 776 is probably like that always felt optimal to me my favorite build like the one I had most fun doing usually was 686 I felt like every team I built that

Was a 686 was just fun I don’t know if it was any good but it was fun um but 776 felt uh felt right um Brad chiming in um more more Wyatt talk I’m I man we will see my friend I’m I’m worried about not having

Much of him but uh we’ll see what happens uh Ben chiming in 776 too chalky I don’t I don’t care about constructions being chalky yeah at all yeah uh I think that you know um you could talk yourself into um you know five pitcher builds being good because the Field’s not doing

It um but I just like I just like the SA net of the balanc like I’m trying to I’m trying to win but I’m also trying to not totally blank and have some money for playoff baseball too right well I mean you there is something to said you do

Need to advance right you need to get out of your pod and then from there just kind of whatever happens happens but um it really it really felt like 776 was the right way to go Ben asking what if late outfielders is what you need

Uh if it is I might be in trouble because I feel like the late outfielders I was drafting are bad like my Joey mess’s uh percentage is like borderline embarrassing and I don’t know how it happened um I’m at 14% on him and that is just truly a mystery to me I don’t

Know I figured he was gonna play every day but then I forgot like they the Nationals signed these bad outfielders left-handed outfielders who might take it B away so I I don’t know I don’t know um Brad is dead if you need late outfielders because he did a lot of five

Outfield builds which are fun uh John asking who’s the one player you wish you had more or less of um sheep do you have anybody off the top of your head because I I’ve got a couple if you need to think about it uh let’s see just quickly glancing at

This list the one that I maybe wish I had less of is Brandon fought which is not a happy thing to say I know there’s a lot of a lot in the chat are big fought supporters uh just with the you know Montgomery signing if Rod comes I just

Don’t know where he ends up um in in that that rotation um and like part part of it was the the small amount of good that we saw last year and now you know I’m I’m far enough removed from when he was good that I’m I’m hoping he’s good

Again yeah I uh I think the guy I wish I had more of was like if I had to pick a singular Target is Cory Seager um I just feel like his price got way lower than it should have and then it never really recovered um so I would definitely like

A lot more Seager as far as guys I want less of I think I just hit it Joey Maness is I don’t know how I got to to 14% like I wish that number was like six but I don’t know he was just he was just always there it was like okay he’s

Here’s a body who will get at bat as my sixth outfielder and that was you know like if Joey manessis is your fourth outfielder you’re probably mega super dead but as a sixth Outfield option I don’t know I just kept clicking his name for some reason so yeah um I think I’m

Just scrolling down here someone I wish I had more of uh actually let’s go with the team um the Phillies I’m dangerously low on the Phillies this year uh and that does not feel good uh because that Outfield or that that that lineup is the same they’re returning like every single

Player and it should be good again um I just and in previous years again that was a team that I had a ton of so I don’t know if I wish I had more uh but I don’t feel comfortable with how little I have is probably a better way to put

It I think that’s a good PLL um I want it with basically 10% Bryce Harper and I that’s actually a little lower than I thought it would be that he just felt like he just felt like a guy who could potentially put up first round value you

DraftKings so I think I’m actually going to do this as a diversification thing uh and go with Julio nice I I do think Otani and judge one of those two is probably the pick yeah they’re you know they’re they’re mispriced in in ADP uh Aaron

Judge is eighth which is like 7.9 is his ADP which is genuinely hilarious to me um but uh DraftKings very much feels like to me when I load up on infielders early those feel like the best teams because there is an absurd amount of Outfield value on this platform is that

Kind of how you’ve been approaching your builds too uh no I wouldn’t say that I have but I definitely know why you feel that way and maybe that that was a misjudgment or not a misjudgment but a old old habits die hard sort of uh situation you know just crafting

Underdogs so much I might just have a weird mindset and two the the playoff format um it’s it’s a two-e you know it’s a twoe score thing it’s not like a week and then it resets like on Underdog so I almost feel like it’s even more important uh especially at the infield

Because it does dry up relatively quickly at least it feels like it to me um I feel like it’s more important to have like three really really solid outfielders who can kind of go crazy for a twoe period as opposed to just a onewe period I think that that makes a big

Time and I just I found that weird all right and well you picked their uh answer Henny Penney’s uh hen and Penny Henny and Penny yeah anden answer their question question um I you know I did not look at schedule at all this year to be perfectly

Honest yeah I didn’t lean into it too much this year um but if there’s a you know if there’s a team to adjust it would be like I mean the Braves are already expensive but if they have the most games in the finals or whatever it’s like okay want to draft even more

Braves the Guardians are not that team like they have a bunch of decent hitters um Lor guys of course Jose Ramirez I think was a little too cheap this year but outside of him I had like and and even then not too much interest in him

But outside of him I had virtually no interest in that offense outside of Naylor yeah I don’t know I just the the way things played out last year you know one of the most important parts of the schedule those uh an extra game for Atlanta and and New

York mats that came from a rain delay for early in the season uh and we saw like CS just fall flat in the schedule so um I don’t know I just uh sort of saw how can’t went last year and maybe went too far in the opposite direction and

Just decided not to look at like at all yeah I just I don’t think it matters as much in baseball as it does in football obviously because you know football’s just one game so um over the course of of a two weeks like obviously I think if you’re going to have really

Solid offenses in like Citizens Bank Ballpark and uh or excuse me Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati um Fenway Coors Field like those are parks that kind of want to Target but that’s not going to be you know it’s not going to be what guides my decision it’s like

A tiebreaker type of thing for me yeah and like I don’t know the the teams that play the more majority of their games um in good ballparks so you know that’s already built into how I think about the team and how I think about the projection and how those numbers come

Out so I just felt like maybe some double counting on some teams um and then like trying to find the right team that’s going to be at good places each week I don’t know right and uh again it might have been just a brain power thing in general for me this

Year that uh I didn’t want to think about it like I so there’s some amount like there’s some amount of uh taking shortcuts that I think like I personally need to do uh just to you know make it through the draft and be able to draft

For the whole you know what four months and you know you know be feel like I’m making good teams the whole time like I can’t I can’t look at everything right yeah I just it is a lot of a lot of extra effort Henny and Penny is saying the plays Guardians starting pitchers

May get three starts in the finals true but again they don’t really have like stealing pitchers you know like unless Shane Bieber returns to what he was a couple years ago um Tristan McKenzie is a huge question mark uh Gavin Williams is kind of a kper inning guy Logan Allen

Same thing like so they don’t really have any pitches I’m like jumping up and down to like get three starts out of um in in the final so I’m not really adjusting them for that but that’s that’s a decent Point um looks like you’re on the clock so let’s knock out

Real quick and and for me um like who knows who’s going to be the starters when we get to that point in the season for any team who knows what rotation is g to be like I don’t know no no yeah um let’s take a quick second here

To recap um the teams as we’re through what six rounds here yeah um so right now I’ve got Gosman and CE as my pitchers infield is Trey Turner Pete Alonzo and then the Outfield is uh stto and Yelich and then sheep what do you

Pitching cluster so I knew somebody was coming back I would be hating and I got a good value on Kirby uh even though in general I’ve been uh more on the side of Kirby and Gilbert need to be closer together in ADP especially on Underdog they are

Closer here but um I’ve been taking Gilbert over Kirby um but I’ll take the value here not that I dislike Kirby just yeah I kind of baited him on Underdog it’s just it was just uh an upside thing you know guys going around him were like Snell and CE and luzardo

Peralta these guys with like big strikeout potential that he hasn’t really flashed yet uh he needs a pretty substantial jump and strikeout stuff I think he’s going to be an awesome real life pitcher I just didn’t really buy into to him excelling in this particular format over on Underdog specifically

Because I just don’t know if he he just can’t strike out guys at the same clip that those other guys do yeah and the the BET and all the smart pitching analysists say that he is going to drag out more guys this year and that’s why they’re you know on top

Of the elite ratios for that you know he’s going to get that increased strikeout from changes that he started to make last year and continued to make in the offseason so yeah Noah here is uh asking about my highest owned on DK um I gotta apologize

866 builds over here on DraftKings uh more than I do definitely more than I do on Underdog it’s either 866 or 776 is what I’m always shooting for here what have you been leaning towards over here here um I’ve definitely built uh with the comfort of knowing I can go 866 but

Usually end up um the the way my flow usually goes is uh a lot of Outfield early um and then mixing some infield and pitcher but then uh I feel like I feel like pitcher falls off um more um on here than infield does personally um

So I usually end up getting to seven pitchers while I’m sitting at like um uh you know five infielders so then I just take two infielders late I agree with that that pitching falls off quicker than um infield does uh Outfield it feels like Outfield here almost feels like infield on Underdog

Where there’s always a guy there’s always a guy that can fill in and I am going to be taking my seven or my fifth outfielder here we’re going to take Jordan Walker to go with that Aaron AO pick I like it um and then I’m gonna go ahead and go with uh Spencer

Steer just kind of feels like a safe-ish floor kind of guy who’s I mean for sure right gonna play every day I mean Matt mlan um made his shoulder rest in peace had surgery today so he’s going to be out for a very very long time um which

Means all of these Reds guys who we were questioning their playing time um clarifies their pictures a little bit more so steer candelario Christian and kardasi on strand even Jonathan India probably um makes them a little bit more palatable because it just kind of feels like we can project more innings for all

Of those guys yeah can you imagine if they had traded India how they’d be feeling right now like yeah that would have been very unfortunate and I didn’t even mentioned the the noi Marte suspension yeah yeah and like uh people want to talk about you know the Oriol should trade for pitching

Uh decision unless you’re taking taking them both like I was Miller over Ru just because of the the type of um the way that woo throws the ball and um so like I’m not like a super big like Scout or anything but um you know just listening

To enough content you kind of pick up on some of these guys that uh you know have some weird deliveries or they like have a pitch that they throw that’s weird that might affect their body weird um so I don’t know just I I could be way

Off but that’s just another thing that I’ve sorted started taking into account yeah there somebody I can’t remember who it was but um there was a little bit of uh potential research showing that these guys uh who throw the ball very very hard with a lot of uh

Um but I don’t know it’s uh this is like the ultimate I’m just clicking names platform I feel like just trying to get it right structurally and hoping that uh M condet to ownership works out yeah and like I think I think your bets are good um you

Know you went bucked in like you you joked about 70 games but like in this build you’re you you know you’re you’re playing for a full season uh Ward you’re hoping that he lives up to projections finally O’Neal you know Hayes Fric you know I think the guys you put together makes

Of the other guys um so yeah I feel pretty good about that uh for starting a bit later uh than most people um maybe I could have gone in eighth uh then infielder Des B bashet Aeron Vinnie P Justin Turner um Carlos kareah and Wilson conteras um St Louis stack yeah ended up

With a nice St Louis stack I got Newar and walk to go along with it um I definitely do um think Wilson contras kind of got lost in the the catcher if you are willing to go with catcher um and again that team’s thinned out again this year with injuries like he could

End up dhing a lot too and maybe he is oftentimes if you’re if you’re going uh by bat projections um he’s often like you know a top day hitter um on that team that’s true and then Outfield uh jrod uh Robert uh Brian Reynolds George Springer and Jordan Walker and Lars

Newar um maybe some overall health concerns with Reynolds back uh you know Springer age uh and then nbar Health um so yeah new Bar’s gonna miss a little time to start the season nothing crazy right yeah um the Springer thing I I am I’m so

Out on him I have I if I could have negative Springer I would um and it was just like more of a especially on Underdog there are guys after him that I would prefer like Nemo uh T Oscar casos even um Jazz so you know just felt like he was mispriced

All year to me and I just don’t really you know I just kind of think we’ve seen the best of George Springer and for him to pay off that price on Underdog I just feel like is a a pretty big ask so that was kind of my uh my stance on him over
