I can guarantee that You’ have heard of one of these tips you might even be using one of these tips right now and is absolutely destroying your game I’m telling you so make sure stick around till the end cuz that final tip might be the tip that you’re using tip number
One is the the tip where people say keep your head down who who has ever I I know I’ve been told it about a trillion times especially when I’m a Elder beginner everyone always says keep your head down keep your head down like let me show you a swing let me move the
This book out the way let me show you a swing of me keeping my head down all right whoever whoever came up with this idea of keeping your head down is thick as it don’t work let me show you a swim can me keep my head
Down see even then I couldn’t do it I couldn’t keep my head down but look that was very fat very so that tip number one who whoever said keep your head down it’s full of absolute you should not keep your head down through the swing it should be more keep
Your head there and then through your head always should release cuz your body your head moves to your body and your body moves to your head it’s like a think of it like a line your body is in a line like this and you go down stays
In the line and then you release head moves up body moves up legs move up all right so let’s just hit one where my head releases up okay and watch this I haven’t cut it I won’t do any cutting nothing like that I guarantee you this shot will be better no cutting you
Ready head gradually comes up look at that let’s just go and show you where that’s landed compared to the other one number one that was ball number one and that one right next to the flag right there is ball number two see the difference so in your next round or next
Practice session don’t ever use that tip do not use it it don’t work it never has and it never ever will if you’re wondering oh well it’s worth for me a couple times yeah that’s look that is look just keep your head nice and steady and then let it release with your body
Just like that this next tip is one I’ve heard so many times and it just doesn’t work the science behind it it’s just it’s crap it this tip doesn’t work all right so the tip is I’ve heard it from so many people like Rick Shields a lot of pro golfers
The tip is keeping your arms straight and put almost like a put when you’re chipping let me show you a little shot from it taller arm straight and like a pting stroke let’s try it it doesn’t work look how long that’s gone connected with it nicely but that has gone so
Long so the tip is that’s the tip don’t use that don’t just stand over the ball arm straight and rock the shoulders it don’t work look how chunky that is and for a trip that’s horrendous so what you want to be doing instead of keeping your arms
Straight you want to be getting a nice comfortable feel it’s all about field golf is it’s not let’s s a bit closer golf isn’t about keeping arms robotic and that then that then that do you know what I mean it’s all about getting in a very nice position very comfortable position and
Then flopping it that is perfect by the way right so this is obviously the tip where people say get a lower lofty Club when you’re chipping get a lower lofty club and knock it down just a little bit like this that’s what people say now whoever said that is in their
Head is thinking correctly and it will work if you do it absolutely perfectly but the consistency of it in reality is wrong for example if you’re playing a really fast green and you’re hitting a six iion just like this bear in mind these are really slow greens if you’re playing a really fast
Green how far is that going to run whereas you get your 60° out just like this and it’s a really fast green and you play a little slop and it’s going to run but stop slower stop faster sorry how much better is that going to be than if you get your
Six and bump and run it so I’m just going to show you three shots one to this to this white flag one to the yellow one to the red with the what is it seven iron and then with a 60° and I want you to show tell me in the comments which
One is better I got a looky that ah stop okay we’ got away with that one there’s one so much closer now oh it didn’t beat it but you know my point you get the point this tip right it’s not overly publicized what I mean by that it’s not not taught everywhere
But the people that are taught it have being taught the wrong things now this is where you got like a bunker in front of you the tip is hitting it high now let let’s just say we’ll put this we’ll place this one just over the bunker and imagine it’s a
Pin okay imagine that’s a pink I think you can see that on the screen imagine that’s a pin all right now everyone think oh my God bunker need to get it high need to land it soft land it close to a pit and it’s always taught to open
The club face up and hit a flop just like this that is how it’s always been taught when you got something like a b bunker or water now whoever’s taught that is got the right idea and it can work but it’s very inconsistent so what I’m telling you don’t do that instead play
Your normal Chip Shot but put the ball further forward in your stands so it will go higher just like this look at that the next tip that everyone seems to get confused about is when you’re in the bunker everyone seems to think put your weight like that and get it
Up I’ve seen the tip too many times from Pros Le everyone says lean back get the ball up they always say lean back get the ball up going to show you a shot doing that and then I’ll show you a shot doing the right way this is what everyone seems to think
And seems to do seems to teach everyone seems to think lean back and do that you can’t see the ball but that has just gone about 20 yards over the green now what you want to do is when you’re next practicing instead of leaning back do the complete opposite lean forward like
This almost 70% of your weight on your front foot let me show you and this will promote getting behind the ball and hitting it higher so front foot there you go 5T from the pin these tips are ruining your game

I wonder what Rick Shields feels about being told that his tip is a bunch of crap…you've been called out Rick
Nobody would hit a bump and run with a 6 iron with that much rough between you and the hole…commen sense
bollocks
This kid has marbles in his mouth like Rick Shiels, they must be close enough to have a match and settle this once and for all.
WTF…. who is this kid with a trash mouth?
I think “keep you head down” is referring to keeping it down until contact. I still catch myself looking up too early wanting to see where the ball is going. I don’t think it means never ever look up during your swing.
Imagine making a "don't do this" video and making sure you hit horrible shots for the "bad tips" 😂
Here's my first shot (points at random ball among other balls next to a pin)
Here's my good shot (points at another random ball next to a different pin)
Nice try champ
Well done.
Great video <3
