Right early start it’s 6:15 a.m. here in Orlando and we’re going to teen it up at Bay Hill early tea off first tea off of the day we’re te off in pretty much an hour uh I’m excited I played it last year it beat me up it really did today

We try and get Redemption we’re here Bay Hill arriving in the dark I’m excited so teen it up really are love this place let’s get to It so there we go first te Bay Hill playing with this wonderful gentleman Roy Saunders thanks Roy thanks for having me out good having you out here Rick looking forward to Redemption Redemption that is that is the word today or we at least hope um 7:20 a.m.

Bay Hill let’s play as good as we can smile on our faces the mission is to break 75 but let’s just let’s just do as well as we can play well Ro play well I’m excited about this now it just is a m iCal place it really is it looks

In looks in wonderful wonderful condition the tournament we’re going to release the video tournament week so the Aro Palmer Invitational is this week here at Bay Hill um but it already looks in tournament condition we’re playing it a few weeks early first hole power four slight dog leg left the trick from what

I remember last time got to find the Fairway got a new driver in the bag I’m going to try this today the Cobra dark speed LS give it a world let’s see if it can find some distance and some accuracy and by the way this are the little

Special touches here at Bay Hill anal Palmer umbrella beautiful little red yellow and green stripes on the stem of the tea right Fairways key I’m just going to go at that bunker in the distance let’s play well here at Bay Hill that’ll work okay that’ll work that’s nice nice one straight down the

Middle thank you so much we’ll see you we finished here yeah thank you that was a real shame a good t-shot and then just found myself in this bunker which I thought was possibly out of range but that’s okay 165 yards let just see what 79 looks like

I’m not going to be able to do it I’m have to have to lay it up unfortunately make p the old fashioned way yeah yeah that’s nice nicely back in the Fairway take your medicine and find Fairways that is the key okay third shot into the first here uh left myself with

An interesting yardage 65 yards um but come on got to play good shots around here see if we can get closer let’s see if we can put it in there for a power opportunity nice very nice surpr surprised myself there nice connection um probably played it a

Little bit safe left hand side of the pin but very nice connection good distance happy with that shot what a wonderful morning really is I mean sun’s coming up Golf Course is absolutely spectacular I’m playing with Roy who’s an O Palmer’s son-in-law how cool is that let’s not what’ll make it sweet if

I knock this put in for par is this would this be a little bit slower than the putting green well it should be should be the same but right now it’s it’s weird how the morning starts and the de comes and go so different places actually putting more out yeah so just

Going to go a little bit more aggressive on it always just left it a bit short in for the five yeah needed to take my medicine found the bunker off the tea for a good drive and then just didn’t quite get up and down but one over through one

It’s not not a terrible start not real bad shots there which was good second hole path three little bit of elevation change hitting down into the green but not a lot you got two 200 Roy I got 203 yeah I’m going to go I’m going go

Four I think just cuz it’s quite early in the morning I don’t think the ball’s going to travel super far just yet so think a nice solid for rine will get me there be good oh it’s a bit long you’re too strong it’s a bit long oh thought that was excellent as

Well I thought that you know what it was I don’t think it’s as cold as I’m I’m thinking the ball’s not going to travel quite as far and yeah it’s well in our humidity so those those items but you just ped that that’s that was a nice that was a nice strike

Wow this is uh this is where I needed to know my course knowledge a bit more I’ve gone long over the back of the Green in hindsight I could have definitely hit one Club less luckily luckily luckily for me it isn’t it’s actually sat quite a nice

Lie really tough that’s where I just needed that little bit of C knowledge shouldn’t have short side of myself we live and learn okay the short side of myself we’re on the green let’s see if we can box a big PT to kick things off with a par up the

Hill Oh it’s good for Speed it a good for Speed look my lesson there cannot short side yourself that’s a big lesson and learn let that be the mission for the rest of the round not to short side myself because that’s how you can really rack up a big

Score okay 3 two two over but to be honest not too disappointed cuz I’ve actually hit some really really nice shots just got a bit unfortunate let’s get on to the next okay third hole power four what a hole sweeping dog leg to the left water on the left hand side obviously avoiding

That at all costs ripping it just between the bunker and the water cracking hole Ro was just saying the first three holes here at Bay Hill if you can get through them then you can uh start the round on the fourth two over through two let’s see if we can uh make

A nice par on this hole get down a bit that is AOK we’re in a good spot that was nice really nice he he likes to lie right there by the edge of that yeah or over right in front of 6t not out yet today I hope we see him

Does he come out when it gets a bit warmer yeah he’ll come out and catch a few rays and yeah it’s all about body heat for those guys and what’s the story behind he’s got three legs yeah he’s got uh got into an epic battle with another

Good siiz Gator I’ll show you the I have that picture and almost a short video of it oh this is perfect so yeah he got in B got in the battle but he lost his left front forearm but he survived yeah I’m guessing the survived yeah the he said you should see

The other guy oh boy okay after a really nice solid drive there down the right side on The Fairway happy with that really happy with that like I said new Drive in the bag I don’t quite know its Tendencies just yet but um 145 yards the pin

There you know what I’m not I’m not going to make the mistake I made on the last the it’s it’s warm I’m kind of feeling because it’s so early in the morning it should be cold but it’s not it’s it’s a wonderful temperature so I’m

Going to hit my 145 yard shot which is pretty much a nice N9 iron and let’s see if we can uh see we hit a green in regulation and then hopefully sink some puts be really nice sit oh nailed it nailed it I’ve been working out Roy that’s the issue that’s the

Issue thank you I’ve been I’m eting it longer than I’m expecting I’m I’m surprised that went long I am okay on the green we on the green that’s all right okay we’re on the green long way away but we’re on the green I mean just look just look at this place I

Mean what hopefully we get to see old Stumpy which is in this Lake the three-legged alligator I’m not going to get too close third shot on this hole you could class it as a technically it’s a birdie putt but it’s a long one down the hill couple little Brakes

In there speed control is key there we go keeping those PS off the scorecard I didn’t expect that I didn’t expect that one bit but happy very happy that went in that was nice that was really nice long range put from downtown and we uh we start bogey bogy birdie one

Over through three take that through those first three Roy fourth hole par five cracking hole Fairway again he key off the te Roy after you you lead the way from memory hitting The Greening regulation is key because it’s like an upside down Source P so and the greens

Are firm I need to remember that need to play you know play it back a little bit shorter than what I have been doing I’ve been trying to land it near the flag and you just can’t do that around here okay let’s set a nice one just right that bunker in the distance

Right there right there yes that’s impressive that was nice that was nice well done 220 yards to the green slightly elevated um I’m just go a nice three iron I don’t think I need to kill it it looks longer than 220 little up that hill car it to the

Green it it visually it definitely looks longer um I’m just going to hit nice around get it up there oh f it get up yeah it would have it would have that would have had a chance if it would have been online just caught it a little bit

Clean that’s okay okay found the bunker not disastrous it’s on a little bit of an uphill lie um let’s just let’s just find the green let’s not go too crazy come on want to just just stay in this round it’s a nice nice Splash bunker

Shot pins at the back keep it short of that pin oh I’ve kept it way short that pin played it played it with too much sand I’m afraid kind of didn’t want to catch it clean either and go over the green tough bunker shot that just in The Fringe here

I actually don’t mind it just being a little bit in the roof cuz I don’t need it to stop quickly got lots of green to work with let’s get this up and down go a bit go a bit okay not bad for distance okay pretty straight up the hill for

Par come on after a good drive this a b deserve nothing worse than a par nice thank you I’d have been a bit frustrated if I hadn’t made P there or better but tough bunker shot that’s a really tough shot tough bunker shot yeah just on the little uphill as well and

Didn’t want to hit it clean okay still one over through four okay fifth hole power four beautiful hole it’s water in front of the Green from memory just an iron after the tea put it in place go on Roy stick it down the middle yeah I’m just going to hit a nice little

Little three Iron pitch it in Good Start I’m happy with my start so far I’m hting it well oh that’s a bad strike get lucky get lucky get lucky oh I don’t think it got lucky bad strike okay just found the bunker on the right bad strike really first one of the

Day 144 yards nine iron got no lip to get over so this is a green light to go straight for it oh not sand them ball yeah I just caught it a little bit heavy that’s a shame okay after not the best strike out the bunker I’ve left

Myself this little 50 yard pitch I’ve got a few overhanging branches but I’m planning to play it lower than that just short of the green one hop and get it close this roof is uh is Juicy and wet sit sit sit sit very good that’s very good Roy thank you wonderful sh thank

You very much yours must have look good in the air oh well honestly I [Laughter] it I want to see you get some birdy sauce Roy we’ll do some Bay Hill special edition colors for your uh if you’re not this one in yes the side fantastic great well done really good

Birdie okay pretty straight to take the PA not much in this thank you that was a nice P nice salvaged yeah it was good didn’t h a great t- shot didn’t h a great second shot but we got it up and down out the roof off take that one over through five

Famous six hole coming up next this is it this is it six-hole Bay Hill the infamous par five the friend of the channel Bryson who’s been on recently when he played the AR par ration tried to drive the green on the par five not bad actually either he did

Pretty well but obviously you can see the Green’s over there but you got to go around the water really you beauty hold on hold on hold on okay nice shot okay okay part five let set a good t- shot all I’m not I’m thinking positively

Am but genuinely all you can see is war water and a Slither of grass a Slither of Hope right straight at those four trees going for the left one if I can and let’s just rip it oh bailed A little bit right in the bunker I hit that well as well I hit

That well I just bailed out a little bit Ah never mind it’s not wet it’s not wet you probably G I could have got I I I was meaning to se you up for a splash no I was meaning to but I was uh I think

Right was always in the back of my mind I’m not disappointed I’m just in the roof but I kind of wish now it’s easy to say in high and sight I wish i’ got a little bit more Brave down that left side just don’t quite know what that driver’s

Doing just yet to feel as confident I’ve hit it well so far I’m enjoying it so far second shot sh this par five down the right safe not in the water I’m 280 yards away from the pin I’d love to say I could go for it but I’m not I’m not

That person I’m not I’m not that person anymore so 180 I’m 280 so I’m going to try and hit this to about 170 180 and leave myself 100 yards in not struck great but yeah I might be a little bit further back than 100 but really a good but nice

Layup 120 yards pins at the back left knowing the firmness of the greens I’m going to try and land this about 110 and just leave leave myself a nice look at birdie be I’d love to birdy this hole I really would it’s a nice pitch into 110 yards

Nice that’s that was a nice stroke truth truth super truth be told I wasn’t quite going that aggressive but Hey listen we’ll take it we got a nice little uphill looks like a 4 foot 5 foot put for birdie here on six come on let’s

Get back to level par this would be nice playing it the professional way good drive nice layup and a wonderful pitch into the green all we’ve got to do now is hold the pot come on really want this I I’d love a bir on this hole in front of stump is

Lake the three-legged alligator he’ll appreciate it he’ll be watching you know what’s mad I just thought everyone calls the alligator Stumpy well I bet the alligator won’t have any idea that his name is Stumpy even deeper the all alligators won’t even know they’re called alligators all right come on the

Unbelievable birdie opportunity here on six pretty much dead straight up the hill I’m not going to read too much into it and all I see it doing is hitting the back of the hole and dropping in for birdie for Birdie on six to get back to level

Par Rick pulled it I pulled it it’s been my Nemesis put at the moment just a little little pulley left one ah it’s all right it’s all right never mind it’s a par now the slight difference this year compared to last we’re not playing off the back back te’s because currently they’re

Closed please keep off you want it to be pristine for the tour professionals last time we did get chance to play off the back backs but to be honest I think it’s better off this these te’s for me anyway just one tea up so what was it like the

First time playing golf with Mr Palmer you see you future father-in-law yeah was a bit nerve-wracking I bet playing in the shootout here at Bay Hill this goes back to 1977 and obviously he was still quite a player and uh and it was uh it was fun I

Was a little bit nervous but uh did you play well I played I played pretty well I was kind of uh really want really wanted to do well but I was playing with my Wilson 1200 irons which he didn’t like that he didn’t and I had this 10-finger super

Strong grip he didn’t like that but uh anyway it was a great day he shot 65 oh well yeah he wanted to make sure that he let me know who exactly who was boss boss did you ever did you ever get a chance to beat him uh not when he was

Really in his pride but we we had a lot of great times together playing golf good matches okay PA three seventh hole 157 yards pins tucked in the right corner so probably just going center of the green I’ve got a tiing feel all right about the game today I would have

Liked to made that birdie but I made a massive birdie put on three so I you know swings and roundabouts one over through six definitely would have taken that te it off this morning okay eight iron middle of the green nothing too crazy Thank you that was a nice hit that was a nice hit okay look at birdie here on seven sweeping left to right come on let’s see if we can uh redeem the put on the last this is really going to swing a lot left to right that had a lot of Swing

Wow on side of a cliff okay just left edge up the hill Rick that’s a surprise I to be honest I didn’t go outside the hole again I’m just I think I’ve just got a little little pull in me at the moment ah that stings smarts never mind

Damn okay eighth hole Par Four cracking hole hit a good t- shot last two last two holes hopefully I don’t live to regret those last two holes Miss birdie put on six and then that silly three put from nowhere game game’s well that’s what I need to remember oh could not be

Better just put one round the corner those trees didn’t hit it great so please stay short of the bunkers yep yep I like that didn’t hit wasn’t my best strike and I’m I think that’s helped me on that hole bunker aren’t you yeah I’m sure the bunker oh that’s really good oh perfect

Nice result on the t-shot or it wasn’t my best strike and we’re in a good spot just on the left side of the Fairway 141 Yards Water short I’ve got to clear the bank at 131 yards so that’s my number I’m trying to clear I’m going to go pitching

Wedge it’s got enough distance it’s just a little bit right yeah good for distance just pushed it a touch listen guys there it’s a bit of Maintenance work taking place they’re on full steam ahead preparing for the Arnold Palmer Invitational so obviously a little bit noisy at certain parts of

The golf course this being one of them we’ve got this long put for birdie I’m a bit FR a little bit annoyed with how far away I I’m there with a pitching wedge but it’s a green in regulation and around here you got to take those small winds yeah that’s okay thank you

Okay eight hole eight holes done two over par I again I’m taking it I’m all right with that a couple of tiny little silly mistakes but overall I’m happy ninth hole power four this is I make a power on here I’ll be delighted this was the hardest hole in tournament play last

Year power four back to the clubhouse okay come on Fairway required nice t-shot let’s drill one down there oh it’s going to be interesting okay not my finest Drive I went after that one a little bit more this this hole is challenging you need distance you also

Need to find the Fairway so kind of uh didn’t do either so now I’ve got a tough shot 190 yards luckily as much as I’m in this roof it’s actually just sat up quite nicely for me which is good I’ve got this tree to navigate and the pins

Up there down over the green over near the green all on the green the pins normally on the green Rick I’m captain obious anyway let’s rip a six iron I need to I need to get the height I need to get the distance oh you are joking me that was a a a

Branch away from Perfection oh you joking me that stings that’s a really really good strike I got the height well I say I got the height I was I was an inch away from Perfection okay it’s bounced back out into the Fairway probably got 100 yards

Left in oh that was annoying that’s a really good shot okay I wanted to leave myself 100 yards left in it’s perfect no I got I got really I did get unlucky there with that second shot anyway I got unlucky that hit the tree but I also got

Lucky that it bounced back into the Fairway 100 yards I like this yardage come on let’s get up and down to finish with a par here on nine I’d be delighted nice little stock shot nothing nothing special here just a wonderful iron shot fatted it fatted it Ricky Rick didn’t expect that really

Fancied that shot oh really fancied that shot yeah that’s okay thank you oh yeah I really fancied that iron shot from the Fairway that thank you me wedge you’re looking you’re looking after me Roy you’re looking after me thank you been an interesting hole so

Far said that on the tea it was going to be interesting but Salvage a five here Oh I thought it was going to be absolutely rapid for some reason oh that was a silly hole Roy it’s number nine is a tough one that is a tough one okay

Well we we have lot of opportunity to come back here exactly we dodged a a few bullets there on the front line but unfortunately they came firing back at me on that last hole four over through nine could could have been in so much better but also could have been a lot

Worse let’s go and rip up the bat Nine very good all sorted we’re good thank you so much thank you anybody need any ketchup oh yes please I’m say out to some ketchup and I think they’re very special you got to get napkin there you go that little little breakfast fat review after nine look at

That what we saying little Brios bun bacon egg bit of cheese your spoils oh that hits the spot that’s exactly what’s needed for this bat now that is perfect okay b nine 10th hole let’s go come on SO a few a few tiny little silly mistakes there on that

Front line from from the six six after missing that birdie it’s just not quite been the strongest ending at back nine uh front nine sorry but got nine more to go Oh near that tree had a last minute scare that I didn’t want to go right which wasn’t breakfast would okay just in the pine here on 10 I just just got a little bit scared on that t-shot there’s houses on the right and didn’t want to knock it out of

Bounds so pulled it left not the positive thought I wanted to go into that shot anyway 170 yards just out the pine I’ve got to a little a little well actually I could probably play quite a high draw actually into this uh but middle of the green is what we’re aiming

For okay keep drawing keep drawing keep drawing keep drawing it might have clung on to the back Edge back right of the green but it’s going to be a long put that was a nice strike from there just didn’t get it drawing enough okay just off the side of the green I thought

I’d clung on to the back Edge but pin High little bit a little bit of a sat down lie just want to get it on the green and get it rolling it’s going to cve round the fraction to the left oh it’s come out soft it came out real soft that was a

Lovely chip just came out a little bit softer than I expected longer powerp put than I wanted to have stay up oh Rick Rick I went aggressive I was sick of leaving it short what we don’t want to be doing is going double double come on not this one in pretty

Much straight back up the hill Rick oh well that’s a it’s a bad start to the front of the bad start to the end of the bad nine and the bad start to the start of the no I’ve got it wrong way around it’s a bad end to the front nine

And the bad start to The Back Nine okay eight holes to go though still time to catch up okay last two holes have stung they’ve stung right right in here cuz up until I actually feel like I played good golf last two holes not so good but got

Punished that’s what happens here at B Hill 11th hole one of the hardest holes in the golf course par four water left got to rip one down the middle got to make par let’s let’s go let’s make some more passs oh it’s a Healy one think it’s going to be a a Sandy

One yeah it was a a Healy one an anti left I have found this grassy uh Island between the two bunkers I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing just yet because the LI is not particularly great out the gruth that’s my target

Pins at the front 149 yards uh I’m going to try and go past that flag and literally hit it as hard as I can cuz this roof is Juicy and thick if I’d gone in the bunker at least I’d have had a a potential cleaner strike at it but then

I might have left it short and fatted it but it’s at a nice 9 find the green hopefully get over the bunker oh oh that was close just that grass just took a little bit out of the power Ah that’s a shame okay green side bunker little bit up pill which is helping

Me um I just need I feel like we need a power on the card not had one for a few holes after the last two holes that’s not great so don’t do anything disastrous it just played it a to strong not a bad shot just came out a little bit stronger

Than what what I would have lighted okay big sweeper big right to left uh left to right sorry come on steady the ship let’s get this par on the scorecard again hit it through the brake oh no oh my goodness I feel like my speed controls vanished

I didn’t want another double bogey on the card then that would have that would have been a real card wrecker okay five on the Card okay come on driver where you been last few holes tried to pump it little bit of a pull that’s okay yeah left rough okay par five second shot just caught just went in the rof here left I tried to get a little bit more speed in that last Drive

Something I’m working on at the moment but not quite there yet I’m miles away from the green I’m 300 yards away so just going to pump a six iron down there get it out this roof get it back on The Fairway perfect thank you sensible play Let’s get my thinking

Brain back on again all right third shot into this par five 118 yards uh pins just in that kind of back left corner just going to go middle of the green I’ve taken too much off it Chase just took a little bit too much off it

Okay this will be a a very solid two put from here big swing comes down a little shelf and then start swinging left yeah not bad for Speed but it really did go left come on let’s get a power back on the scorecard last three holes haven’t been my finest

Trying to fight the the pools and I’ve got the little the pushes a that’s some uh not great puted on the last few holes there not good at all okay 13th hole PA four cracking hole big water hazard in front of the green surrounded by rocks

As well so three would off the tea get it in Fairway see if we can make some birdies need them Bunker I think or left of it it’s on its last legs however I’ve got it in the bag all week and we’re filming all week but it’s it’s not got many rounds left this three-wood it’s not found a uh the bunker the tea there with a three-wood

I definitely feel like three Woods not an easy Club to hit anyway 124 yards it’s a bit of a tricky shot this I’m not going to lie to you cuz the ball’s very very much below my feet and that normally makes the ball go right and then anything right is going

To be in the water so and they go very left of the green or very left edge of the green and just hit I just need to strike it pure 100 25 yards pitching wedge don’t need to hit it hard I just need to hit it pure I’ll be really really [Laughter]

Good oh tell you what that’s the greatest shot I’ve hit in that’s the one of the best shots I’ve hit in an awful long time that is really really really good from that lie in that situation that was really really good let’s go knock it in for birdie shall we

I think I need another one I need another one on the scorecard all right bloody hell what a couple of incredible golf shots right come on let’s do this let’s get let’s get a couple of birdies on the scorecard feel like I need it eight over

Now after I feel feeling I was feeling very in control of my golf swing in my golf game but few silly mistakes a over mission is to break 80 so it’s past 72 so I’ve really got to I’ve got to shoot one under from here oh Roy you didn’t deserve that yeah you

Didn’t deserve that he deserved better I didn’t see it moving I didn’t see that moving did you play that straight yeah yeah I would have yeah looks flat it looks it yeah oh Roy we missed two good chances there we missed we missed two good chances that would have been a that

Would have been a a real high highl light one for the Highlight really if i’ have made birdie from there but never mind okay 14th hole path three normally playing a lot longer than this but we just like to say playing a te up so 157

Yards a nice a TI keep it left just left of that pin or straighten the hole that’ll work that will work work come on we need a birdie we need some more birdies okay I found the green I actually thought it was a lot closer

To the pin than I am uh this is going to be slippery it’s going to be faster it’s going to be downhill definitely played better today I think last time I played here I was in the high 80s that shot just a bit of a

Meltdown to be honest with you it was it was really hot weather and I I think I was over golf that week well I’ve definitely played a little bit better today but just three holes probably messed me up a little bit today so I don’t quite know I’ll leave this short of the

Flag okay not too displeased with that go I’m going to I’m going to go with you as well Roy go flag in thank you we’ll take nice two threes there should have had two threes on the last but two threes there very good that’s true all right guys 15th hole power four

Cracking hole slight dog leg right got four more holes to go this probably being the hardest hole of the four then we got somewhat getable par five next tough par three iconic 18th hole Par Four at this point I’d like to shoot one

On the par from here if I do I break 80 so let’s par this bud in next p last two that’s the plan Okay found it up the left side just in the rof 165 yards away from the pin pins back in the right section of the green just going to I just want to go middle of the green nothing crazy don’t go long just going to just a really little soft eight
