But if you’re looking for stronger forearm muscles that help you lift more weight and movements like a deadlift I’d also recommend doing heavy holds these are going to be isometric contractions of those forearm muscles so you’re not going to see as much hypertrophy from them but it will help with stronger gripping

If you want to work out your forearms, get yourself some clubbells. I find them to be far more engaging than linear movements.
This is the classic argument of strength vs hypertrophy. I was doing deadlifts and farmer carries for year and my forearms never grew. Started flexor workouts a month ago and they've exploded
