I’ve been using a combination of different tees in my golf cave since day 1. At first I used a tee which was built into the Fiberbuilt Flight Deck. I broke two of those within a few months.
I moved on to Birtee golf tees. Thought they were/are absolutely great but I would lose one from time to time. Lost my driver height tee for a few weeks. Lost a few of the iron height tees and ordered some more. The big caveat with Birtee golf tees is in having them fly and having to pick them up. For me it was sometimes under the impact screen.
So I ordered some K2 golf tees. The premise makes sense. Pretty much attached to a small sand bag using a bungee cord and a tether/tee attachment. Kinda cool when you think about it.
Initially I had some issues when putting them together but that came down to not seeing there were slits in the tether which allowed the bungee cord to properly seat. You will see me hit my first couple of shots here with the K2 golf tees.
Hi this is Paul welcome to my golf cave today’s March the 3rd 2024 and uh doing something a little bit different today I um have been playing a little bit uh of golf inside here uh actually today we had a a temperature of about 71° outside go back 10 years ago
And I took a picture of when it was – 9 on this same date so uh enjoying the weather but we are having I would say wind gust of maybe 40 miles an hour so uh so it’s quite windy out there uh would have loved to play golf outside
Anyway have some home projects going anyway today I’ll show you what I have been doing uh as of late with this um well I’ve mentioned it I’ve mentioned it a few times that I use berties so come in all different sizes this one is for my iron which I’m
About to hit uh they uh this one is for my driver uh which I use uh quite a bit uh the only issue I have with bires love them I love them is that they go flying and sometimes they go flying to the point where this I lost
For about 3 to four weeks at one point so uh imagine teeing everything up with the next largest size which was this and so uh may not be able to tell the difference much but it it did make a difference in my drives literally had a tough time
Hitting up on the drive any longer Love The Bert so and I’m about to hit a shot with a berti okay I don’t have my screen up today I just have my PC on haven’t figured out how to transfer everything from the PC to the uh to the the
Projector so work in progress so I got this teed up this is the shortest te for the bur te and don’t know if you heard that but that was the berti Flying that way sometimes they fly this way sometimes they fly when golf ball also flies right
Uh but the bti ended up over here many times if you watch my video you would see that the driver bti will end up on the underside of my impact screen just the way it works so today I’m trying something different and I honestly have not tried it as of
Yet so I’m going to put my club down here for a second and I put this together I probably should have shown it on camera but uh it’s called K2 golf and I purchased a number of T’s so uh a pretty I don’t know what the bundle is called might be called a
Bundle uh it says standard set number 1 2 3 4 5 6 78 and so that’s what I purchased and uh they recommend you only tie uh three or four of these to this bag at one point it’s like a sandbag you know it’s got some very good weight and so the
Idea behind it is that you’re going to a hit a golf ball and you’re not a berti your K2 G te is not going to go flying um so without further Ado let’s give this a try now I’m not sure where I should place this I mean I have read the
Instructions but I mean in relative to my uh my launch monitor I’m going to place it by the side here and I’m going to take the the smallest of these they recommend that you put the tether uh that you put the portion uh I’m calling it a tether it’s
Probably the wrong word but uh in line with your swing path so you’re not going to cross it and hit it but it’s more in line that makes sense so I have my ball here you attempt to put this on there like that I think personally I think maybe the bag should
Be over there a little bit but I don’t want to get it in the way of the camera so I’m doing this now my normal scul swing is to that which is why I put the tether over there uh per instructions so the bag is by the side
Of my uh my bush Now launch monitor this is the number one which I feel is a good height for my irons maybe even slightly high as I’m thinking about it came across that one but it went flying which is meaning flying only you know ft of our far the Bungie allows over
There so yeah that’s pretty cool um and so so what I’ve done is I’ve put a uh a um what be equivalent of hitting an iron um the equivalent burti that I’m used to so with the K2 golf um I’ve got an iron I’ve got a three wood and I have
My driver I suppose I could put one more on as well uh maybe slightly higher than an iron that might work better for for a hybrid or maybe my seven wood but only going to be using this uh when teeing off uh so I wouldn’t obviously I
Wouldn’t cheat to use this on The Fairway but again it just sort of stays there um decent strike not good distance but uh yeah so it’s kind of cool I don’t know if these are going to get tangled up I mean they’re Tangled amongst each other
But I don’t think it’s a big deal these are sort of I call them bungees and uh maybe I should try driver but I haven’t hit a driver today so just put the bag down here face the tether this way um let me go grab my driver and
Thankfully I don’t have uh I don’t have my scen short so you won’t see how bad this shot is uh let me see the height Height’s actually fairly good and my understanding is that with the larger of the K2 golf T’s I think like I have one through
Eight and I think four five six seven probably eight you can raise like a quarter of an inch so if I feel this height is not good I can uh just raise a little bit all right hit that low I’m looking on my screen that I have on my PC and that was
A I think a pretty awful drive there 100 213 yards total and uh that’s uh K2 go te’s and uh yeah you can see the the length of the uh of the bungees maybe maybe a couple feet and uh how they uh tack on right here the only fear probably is in
Breaking this part which might be the tether otherwise uh I I mean the way these feel the rubber it it it feels nice and strong pliable so uh I’m looking forward to uh to hitting more golf balls with the K2 uh uh golf T’s but um and and I’m
Not going to throw away the uh the bures but um for now I’m kind of dig this uh this product I don’t have to go and run over under my impact screen with like the Burt’s lift it up and try to find out where that uh where that tea went so
