Red Bull Hardline is a week away and I am so excited to see what it’s going to look like Red Bull Hardline Welles has been an absolute success for the last 10 years we all know what that looks like and I think the world is ready to see
What a second Red Bull Hardline stop is going to look like so uh today I wanted to go over the Riders list I wanted to go over what we know about the track we don’t know a lot and then also my predictions on who I think is going to
Win this weekend so without further ado there are 25 Riders at this year’s Red Bull Hardline I’ll have the writers list up right now and then there are about 10 15 or so alternates or wild cards I won’t read them all off but I’ll just
Kind of put out some uh kind of the highlights Tommy G a Belgium free riter excited to see him here Jackson Goldstone Reed bogs Bernard Kerr Johnny celo lari Greenland T Seagraves Brook McDonald from New Zealand Hannah Bergman from the US chaos Seagrave um Vincent Tupin from
France um lots of UK Riders and um a couple Free Riders from around the world I will say I am surprised that there are not more Australian and New Zealand Riders I thought it was a big shame that Connor Fon is only an alternate or a wild card instead of a true Hardline
Racer um L bruny has oped out of the race for whatever reason he’s decided and then obviously G addon will not be racing due to his big crash at Rampage um on yesterday on Instagram big announcement Red Bull announced two new writers Matt Jones and Dennis lman
Dennis was on the wild card team so I’m assuming that both these writers have been upgraded to the actual writers list I’m still shocked that Connor Fon I don’t know who this Dennis Lan is to be honest with you maybe in the comments you guys can tell me who he is why he
Deserves to be over Connor Fen Connor Fon is he’s an iconic Australian downhill racer and it is strange to me that he’s not included in Hardline um and lots of UK names I understand that this started off as a UK event I just thought it’s interesting that since they
Have such such a hand in who’s invited that mostly UK writers are there’s nothing inherently wrong with that I just thought thought we’d try to incorporate some more writers from around the world up next the track here’s some information about the track the track is
Going to be 2.3 km long the largest gap is going to be roughly 75 ft um and the largest vertical drop is a good 10 M plus I don’t know I think the gap’s been bigger now I think it’s a good 90 foot now after the last measurement um with
Ed Masters it’s a big gap for sure um estimated race course time is going to be about 3 and a half minutes short track going to be extremely tight racing uh the top starts off really Rocky with some sparse trees um lots of drops lots of Cliff drops Rock Gardens the second
Section is really lomy it’s really soft dirt so we’re going to see lots of off- camera sections I think a couple of the big jumps is right here there’s a good Lily Pad section um and then into the bottom is kind of the free kind of the freeway or the high-speed section uh
Really hard packed really fast-paced and that’s where you’re going to get the Road Gap they have like three 50ft shark fins and then ending with the 90f footer into the Finish Corral a couple weeks ago Bernard K Dan andon a couple other Riders got to ride some of the track and
Get some feedback it sounds like the track is going to be very fast and very um the most of the technical parts of the track are going to come from drops and features there’s not as many Rock Gardens I would say as Hardline whales although there’s still plenty of lomy
Off camber sections although it is still definitely a Hardline course um Bernard CT in his recent video please go watch that it’s great it is about an hour long though he states that it is indeed a Hardline course it is going to push people but it’s is going to be a little
Bit different so they after practice some of the guys gave some adjustments and tweaks sounds like we’re going to have lots of Hard impacts on flat Landings which is pretty normal for R um Hardline even if um they are made correctly just you’re not going to land
Soft off a 30 on a 30ft drop you’re it’s going to land you hard especially when you’re moving fast uh they’re still working on the middle section of the track kind of the lomy section and so we won’t get to see what that looks like
Until race day um but I am excited uh here’s a quote from Dan Aon going into just I think the Hardline year I don’t think this is specifically Hardline Tasmania but it definitely incorporates it 10 years ago we never would have imagined that Red Bull Hardline would
Reach the stage that it’s at now it’s been so inspiring to watch the progression of the sport in those early years writers push themselves out of their comfort zone to adapt to riding a typical World Cup course but recently the roles have reversed and the onus is
On me and the team to build a track gnarly enough to showcase the writer skills and it it has been really fun to see all the writers uh getting excited for another Hardline stop and this this track is a gnarly one for sure it’s going to push people I think this is the
First time too as I was researching for this people were calling it a free racer event Brendan Faircloth has be called the free racer for a long time and I think that’s really what this is turning into it is like a normal World Cup where it has some Rock Gardens and some
Different line choice and stuff like that and it is a race but it’s also got some big jumps that are going to push people more of that Free Ride Vibe and you can see that by them inviting Free Riders who are capable of hitting jumps this big so should be very
Interesting now I am going to give my predictions for who I think is going to win please take not as you listen to the I did going to be honest I took it pretty safe we do not have a lot of information on this event we don’t have
A lot of information on how the track rides and what it’s going to look like so knowing that here are my predictions in third place this year I do think Jackson Goldstone will not repeat win I think he is going to be in the top three
Though so I give him my third place spot I did this cuz a he did win last year so he shows that he can win I just don’t think he has the experience as some of the other racers um although he is a fantastic downhill racer and second I do have lri Greenland
Um he’s one of the top UCI Racers on the circuit right now top 10 for sure um someone argue top five I just don’t think that um some of the especially the Free Riders are going to be able to keep up with the experience that lari Greenland has um in just Downhill Racing
Uh this is a race environment and he should be very comfortable with it and he’s always placed well Hardline and in first place I have Bernard Kerr Bernard Kerr the king of Hardline he’s won it multiple times uh he’s been staying in New Zealand for probably a month on and
Off before this race so he will be very warm and comfortable on his bike plenty of practice he did get one of the he was also one of the few riders that got to ride the track at least parts of it to test it and make sure that everything
Was up to Snuff and I I just think he’s got enough of the experience erience at events like this to be able to come through and do well okay that is your Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 20124 predictions and preview let me know who you think is going to win in the
Comments what do you think of this new Hardline series and I will catch up with you with my reaction to the race uh comes probably the Monday after the race peace

The double is 95 foot but you’ll land at 100

Underrated channel 🤟
Chur the kiwis ⛳
Ronan dunne for the win 🇮🇪
That is my picks but I had Jackson taking 2nd.
Maybe Connor didn't want to go… 🤷🏼♂ You say lots of Brits, but no Brendog! 🤔
it’s so crazy to see matt jones at big events first darkfest now this
Where can we find a Full gopro course preview without the BS ?
Matt Jones for the win! lol
Just hope Kade makes it 💪💪💪
Pretty sure there’s a 100-110 footer after that 90 you’re referring to as the last jump, its around that next sharkfin at the end of bk’s video
Me and some mates walked around it during enduro jam and it is insane
It ain't Hardline without Brage or Kade…….
BK for the win!
Totally agree, Connor should be competing. So I think Ed Masters and the pinning Meier-Smith brothers.
Connor Fearon is there 🙂
In terms of the rider lineup, I think it's important younger guys like Dennis Luffman and Edgar Briole get the invites. Also there where supposed to be plenty of nz and aus riders, it's just that some of them can't ride due to injury.
