Thanks for watching!
Hey guys thanks for watching it is rainy and miserable again we’re having like tons and tons of rain but I wanted to put this video out now specifically because I have a school coming up with Dr Scott Lynn on March 18th and 19th I’ll tell you more about that coming up
Soon but it is the craziest before and after that we’ve ever seen at the school I know that when I put out the videos with the swing Catalyst Ground Force stuff the before and afters are almost beyond belief like I get a lot of comments where like there’s no way a guy
Hit it 30 yards further or like 40 yards further sometimes more this video with this guy Nick who came to our school in December starts hitting his driver 60 yards more and he’s a you know he’s a decent golfer he’s like uh you know less than a 10
Handicap and he started hitting his seven iron from 147 to 165 or you know he even hit 17 iron 172 the difference really when people are working on swing Catalyst and you start swinging in a way that is more complimentary to what you can actually do the difference really can be super
Super dramatic so you start getting like a lot more power and it’s a lot easier plus there’s some drills in this video that you’ll see that I think are Universal to anybody regardless of which leg you’re trying to swing off of or how which style you’re trying to do I think
There’s some stuff in here that really really can help you okay so he’s a very centered golfer we want more rot out of him and where where was his numbers before at the beginning of the day before here’s one of the first irons he hit you could see
83.7 Club speed seven iron 143 yard carry so that told me well and then he did a dominant leg test it told him he was more centered and one of the good swings he hit when he got more centered was now 165 carry Club speed was
95.2 um and we added some torque and if you look at his pressure shift he got got way more to the right so he got more turn behind it so that that get that hip deeper create more uh torque is what we’re look working for on him so Scott
Tell me about how because I’ve heard this from two different people here tell me about how getting the the right hip gets locked and then it can’t turn anymore um I think he was kind of doing this so he was swinging very lead leg down because I I think the three
Patterns would be a lead leg dominant person has the left knee go towards the golf ball and the right leg straightens yeah so once this right leg straightens I can’t use it anymore and if I’m left leg dominant that’s fine I just hang out on this left leg and use it to go
Vertical and I’m fine so for you I wanted to get this this hip a little deeper into the like back that way and we got to keep a little more flexing that knee as we go like for me I’m a right leg dominant person I got to keep
A little more flexed because I got to push off that way and so we don’t want to kind of lock joints out if we need to use them still sound a little heavy touch okay it’s still carrying 158 so that’s still pretty good okay so we’re getting better on the
Pressure shift so he’s 76 to the right so he was early 60s yesterday early so he’s still getting good now the only issue I think is still that right leg is straightening quite a bit okay so I want you to feel more Brooks kepka right leg
On the back swing more kind of keep the flex in it and get the hips deep you know what really helped I think for you is the back swing drill just hop off onto the grass here back good so see if you straighten that leg I can pull you
Over way easier yeah okay so now go ahead turn back good now you keep that little bit of flex and I can’t pull you over anym right okay do it with the leg straight now yeah like wrong way yeah so now I can play over super easy okay so
Turn back good now you can see that’s strong right to push off of it that’s what I want you to feel okay okay good good money that’s my so even today just with those small little changes like before when you were keeping a little or straightening that
Right leg a little too much you’re getting those fat ones like we had a few that carried like 158 those last two were 168 and 172 carry so that’s that’s money that’s just getting off my right leg but we’re getting ball speeds so it went from ball speeds of 110 miles per hour
112 milph up to 123 and 119 so some serious ball speed changes there 13 or 14 miles of ball speed yeah and so that’s just matching things up um so you want to have a quick feel of the back swing getting that hip deep and the
Right leg a little more bent but then you got to get on your lead side and clear there you go nice and then it’s the opposite drill on the lead side right yep so on here I’m going to be up here so give me that load to the back
Swing good pull you over there don’t let me p over the but of this club has to point towards the wall at the end good can’t pull you over anymore good can’t pull you over anymore nice there wasn’t a hint of fat in that one
No I’d rather see that shape as the Miss than the one that’s like left going left with the the like drop kicky yeah that’s no fun and that’s just to me either one of two things happens there you get the right leg load right but you just stay
There back there too long or you don’t get the right leg load right and you can’t get off of it right because if you straighten this leg you can’t get off of it I would actually prefer a fade for you this pattern matches a fade much better than a
Draw nice yeah I love that that’s nice I think you should feel almost a Cy shot okay to me that’s good because that that gives you incentive to really turn the corner and get the swing Direction moving left which is what a a a fade player or a torque player centered
Player generally is a is a more natural shot yeah that’s hammered just in your words Nick what are you doing right now so what I feel like uh what Scott was saying he wants me to hit more of a fade I almost feel like my hands are up higher and are just
Coming down naturally though with even having to do anything as far as like you’re doing like a Brooks thing and then you’re um my legs I kind of forgot about it right now but making sure I just get off my right side is is more focused because I figure I feel like if
I focus too much on getting into the right I stay on the right and I don’t get off it so I almost feel like I’m really torquing and firing those hips to get them to get off and that allows me to kind of keep my bottom Arc farther
Forward to the ball rather than right behind it get the low point in front of it yeah can I see you hit some drivers before I yeah with your grip too you’re a little more on top yeah that that match is more of a leftward swing Direction so all these are pointing
Towards more of a fade type shot so the good thing is all the same things now one thing you said though that I’m not a big fan of is getting your hands too high this pattern matches a little deeper hands right so I would prefer you
To feel like you’re getting your hands a little deeper rather than higher okay you don’t have a whole lot of lateral elements in your swing which would shallow it so let’s just get it already and a rip around the corner got huh yeah do that you remember what was his uh ball
Speed yesterday when showed up yeah 108 Club 158 ball jeez that’s good it’s really good um did you hit drivers over here yesterday I did yeah he had one at the end of yesterday that was 109 Club 159 ball okay 268 carry but he showed up
But he started at 105 ball or 105 club and 147 ball oh wow man those are hammered that’s great shape too that really goes well with the the iron shot 111 111 Club speed I’m going to star that one and keep it 280 total that’s a record for you and ball speed
In the 160s then 158 158 oh so we got to get 160 okay so go from 147 to 160 this is the kind of changes we were talking about this is a good one yeah good turn though good the face open I would get just a hair wider with um
With driver for you cuz what we want to do is create more torque and think of torque as like a wrench and so if I’m going to create more torque I’m going to want a longer wrench right get my hand further away from the axis so if I just
Get my feet a little wider that should allow you to create more with the same sheer force create more torque okay oh it’s really good that was a nice little cut yeah it’s really useful yeah 110 Club there jeez what was the ball face was a little open so it
Might have been a little slower 57 yeah I mean it’d be risky Scott but I bet you the draw would be fast right oh yeah it considering how fast he hit that one iron shot yeah that’s 162 there you go there’s the draw pattern the draw what’ you do to draw it
So how fast was that Scott I just felt like it came from more from the inside okay so Mike Adams would tell you to shut your stance a little bit but you just like dynamically shut your stance a little bit to get it more from the inside okay perfect feeling like like
You said wider but still coming from the inside yeah that was uh 162 ball 110 Club so he just shut the face a little bit and compressed it a little more God that’s so good oh yeah that’s not a draw hor no that was just a bullet
Straight shot9 nice I love it and the strike location looks if that’s correct it looks really good high Center so the I mean that’s a big difference because we went from the start of yesterday the first driver you hit was 105 Club 147 ball 219 carry okay and he’s had some that are
283 carry 162 ball yeah 288 car last and that last one was that last one was 110 288 110 288 159 ball the previous one was 110 283 162 ball yeah so um that’s a big change um and so your main things are a little different right leg load so I don’t want
That right leg to straighten as much on you yeah but get off the right leg as fast as you can get to the left and a little wider stance and a little wider stance to create the the bigger to you tell me so that that’s like people
Probably see it and not believe it or whatever go 147 to 160 yeah uh but what was the uh what were like the cues for you that you might not have like you might have spent a month on the Range and not have figured out on your own
Right what what were the cues for you that really lit up the speed for you I think the biggest thing was you thought you were more lead leg dominant yeah and we kind of tested you to be more centered so we switched you from more of
A lead leg to a centered player and that’s I think what Unleashed a lot of that speed yeah previous lessons I’ve been like Scott said is I’ve been told I’ve been front post golfer when we got on you know swing Catalyst I did the test and I’m centered so I went away
From all my Tendencies of staying on my left and that kind of hindered my speed you know when he got me more a little bit more shift a little more centered and now it allows me to just swing freely and not have to worry about all
The other things awesome okay so like I said we we have a golf school coming up with Dr Scott Lynn it’s at the Golf Club at Rancho California in Murietta California on March 18th and 19th it’s a Monday Tuesday and we’re really going to have a good time there’s going to be uh
Lee dietrich’s going to be there Eric Mike tree is going to be there hosting us he’s going to be um making lunch and also sharing a lot of tour tips he’s won over 60 times professionally is now teaching full-time and we’re really going to have a good time it is pouring
Rain here it just absolutely raining constantly here so I’m lucky that I have this video stored up because it really is one of the best before and after videos that I’ve done but uh I was saving it for when I had another Scott School coming up which I do

How does one go about determining which leg is dominant for his/her type of swing motion? Torquing and turning that hard might introduce some back issues for a lot of amateurs like me. No complaints about the video just curious.
It's great to see Brendon's subscriber list grow to nearly 150,000. He has put himself out there for several years , making great content and helping the everyday golfer.
Check Arnold Palmer's down the line swing. His right leg went completely straight on his backswing until he shallowed the club then his right leg went back to a flexed posture..
95.2mph and only hitting a 7 iron 165 yards? Is that also carry or total? Something doesn't add up. Either his 7 iron is from the 1950's with a loft of 36+ degrees or it's not a 7 iron. 95mph should equate over 180 yards carry.
I need this for me
You think that's rain? Move to the PNW for an entire winter.
Man I NEED to do a session with Dr Scott. Dude is unreal!
Damn, I need to go to the school. I've definitely plateaued at "mediocre"

I bet Brook Koepka's move can also help me find my lost golf ball in the rough!
I’d love to see some on course content. Like 9 holes talk through or play 9 with another coach. Keep ‘em coming 😁👍
Changed the way I set up–for the "better" with irons, hybrids, woods, and driver. Contact amazing getting off that back leg and turning the corner left. I never thought about which leg…or softening that trail leg, until watching this. Fortunately, I need the same set up, so this is like a lesson for me, too. Don't have to work as hard for consistent results. Played an inside round and it was brilliant–looking forward to trying this outside. Thanks for sharing this B–there was a lot more for me under that title! Have a great school…
I have a question regarding the 1:50 time mark showing the golfers number change stats. I'm a master club fitter that uses trackman 5 days a week fitting low handicappers and elite amateurs.. .your numbers show him at approx 95 mph 7 iron swing but the carry is only 170 yards of carry. I usually see much more carry out of that swing speed. Where was impact location on that shot?
I may be wrong but it seems to me that this channel is all over the place. So many different opinions from so many different people. No consistent philosophy.
Would a little more flex in knees at address help him? Seems like he still straightens his right leg too much. After impact he moves his right foot up to his toe because he didn't use his right leg enough to get there.
