In this video, we explore the excitement of Mike Tyson training Francis Ngannou for his fight against Anthony Joshua. Despite the hype, I argue that transitioning from MMA to boxing takes more than a few months of training. We discuss parallels to horse racing and examples like Jarrell Miller and Conor McGregor. Ngannou’s size and muscle mass might pose challenges in boxing endurance. We also touch on an anecdote about a Muay Thai fighter winning a WBC title after just two boxing matches. Can Tyson truly transform Ngannou into a world-class boxer, or is this just an exhibition match? Like, subscribe, and share your thoughts below. Thanks for watching!

  1. Mike did train him for the fury fight too so he’s had a good 6-9 months with him at least now but of course you’re correct, years would be needed to be a finished article. But when Francis came into the ufc he was a devastating striker but had little else to his game until after his loss to stipe when he then got his wrestling and jiu jitsu skills much better. So the majority of his training from the start has been boxing, but of course nowhere near the level or pedigree of Joshua’s…… however I really do fancy Francis to catch him in this fight. Reason being I cannot understand why AJ would take it in the first place unless he felt it was a walkover. And that mindset is exactly what could lead him into danger. Francis only needs one clean shot and he’ll put him away, but that all depends on if Joshua lets him have it or not. Intriguing fight and I really do think Francis has a massive chance here my friend. Will be putting my money where my mouth is too as the bookies in the UK have Francis a wide outsider. I can easily see him stopping AJ inside 4. I’ll stand by those words too and be proven right or wrong come the 8th of March. 👊🏽
