Max Homa spoke to the media at the WM Phoenix Open where he was asked about his thoughts on the huge financial deal made between the PGA Tour and the Strategic Sports Group to create PGA Tour Enterprises.

If you think I’m in the meetings with the SSG then you’ve begged me wrong uh I don’t know I would hope so uh my my general point is I feel like that the communication uh or the things being taken from news uh in golf now uh always highlights the money that we’re making

And I can guarantee that SSG didn’t come in to give us a bunch of money just for fun so I would imagine that they want to make their money back and then some and if you just keep trickling down that rabbit hole well how would that happen

And I would say one Avenue would be to entertain the fans so that we have more fans H while keeping the ones that we’ve got at the moment and you know making money that way so that’s just how I see it I I don’t have a beat on it but

Um I know that the management of the PJ tour wants the PJ tour to succeed and and success is you know having a larger fan base um and yeah I I don’t see I don’t know enough about the business but I don’t see how you could

Do all that by not improving the product and and tailoring it to people watching so that’s just I mean how I see most sports uh going so I would I would assume that that would be the case but I I it would be hard for me to know uh

100% for sure but that feels like a fair assumption
