Thank you Harris great round 65 bogey free only a couple of Fairways missed you were in the Fairway all day was that the key to the day to kind of set up this golf course yeah I mean if you’re playing from the rough all day out here
It’s going to be tough um hard to access these pens and greens are firming up they’re not quite as firm as uh yesterday when I played but you still got to hit quality shots from the Fairway and and spin the ball a lot out I feel like finally we have a course
Where I can spin it as much as possible and get it up in the air and and try to get it to land off cuz the last few weeks um it’s been the opposite of of the ball spinning back a lot so you’re trying to take spin off but man it’s
It’s awesome track I mean got a lot of guys around the hunt um but it’s going to be one of those coming down the back nine it’s a special place and and you got to be on your game um I think you can really separate yourself from the
Field if you’re kind of hitting on all Cinders and I I was doing that today off the top of our show today I was uh talking about the 15th hole and that’s an interesting hole location today cuz maybe people watching the broadcast or listening to us it sounds like it’s an
Exposed hole location but up there on that shelf not so much it turns out it’s the hardest hole right now in the golf course but not for you you make a three there that’s like making a two and a half yeah that’s awkward whole location
Because um that it’s so easy to try to hit it left of that flag and and that’s kind of the dead spot so I had a really good number I think I had 168 flag a little bit into the wind so it’s just a normal eight iron for me and I was
Actually looking a little right at that flag and and taking 20 feet if I had it um it came out perfect and and that’s the perfect spot to putt from short right of that flag um left Edge butt um hit it solid and and went pretty much
Dead center um but yeah that that’s a that’s an awkward hole um pin yesterday was tough I mean it’s just one of those that’s going to give people trouble all week in a great spot right now 10 under we don’t know where that’s going to
Finish at the end of the day might even put you in the final group we don’t know does it change the game plan at all for tomorrow or the game plan Remains the Same you take care of your stuff yeah um I feel like I’ve been playing really
Well the last couple days uh only had one bogey in the last three six holes and um feeling good about my game just give myself a chance I love being in contention and and having a chance and we’ll see what happens tomorrow go for you out there today is pretty special

Player pretty good around the greens and a good putter um yeah just having confidence in that driver to step up I mean some of these holes don’t I mean they’re they’re tough I mean you got 12 and 13 trees everywhere it looks like um
So if you can step up there and and hit a confident shot and and hit it right in the screws down the Fairway um gives you a chance to make some birdies out here and I feel like that’s what I did I drove it really well today on on some of
These hard par fours and um get myself a chance what’s changed over the last few weeks um um I mean I played pretty good last week at uh at Phoenix I was in the the bad Wave t off early on Thursday but um overall I had a pretty solid week
Um Pebble didn’t get anything out of it San Diego didn’t get anything out of it but I felt like I was playing pretty well um yeah just a little tweaks with my coach uh Justin the start of the week and I feel like it’s finally started to
Click some and um starting to understand it better and um really the last two days i’ I’ve hit it really well what changed for you for the past few days like what was different about today um I feel like I played really really solid yesterday um just didn’t putt as
Well um you’re going to have a lot of8 to 10 Footers out here either for par or birdie and I I made them all today yesterday I didn’t make as many of them but uh really just all in all pretty similar round to yesterday I just got a
Little more out of it and uh it’s a chess match out here I mean these greens are getting firm and and the PIN are tough I mean I I like it I like the way it plays out here and trying to hit it to 15 or 20 ft and and get the putter
Going and uh my speed has been great all week and hopefully we’ll stay the same I’ve asked you this before Harris but why does why do difficult golf courses favor you favor you you believe yeah I just like that chess match about it um playing different angles uh it’s not
Just the the birdie Fest the aggress of every hole I mean I’m kind of picking my spots to have a green light at a flag and then others I’m I’m kind of playing away from um I don’t know what it is that’s just kind of how I’ve played all
My life and the the golf courses I’ve enjoyed have always been the hardest the the tenth always gets a lot of attention out here you bured it today what makes it a great hole and is it a hole that you that you like yeah I would
Say it’s has a lot of talk out here on the PJ tour if people like it or not um they did soften it a bit this year um the green is still pretty really firm um but they softened it a bit of of not so severe around the green but it’s it’s a
Great strategy hole I mean my my strategy every time is trying to send it up there it’s just such a hard wed shot when you’re when you’re laying up and you have to be so precise and um it’s usually a pretty a perfect three-wood for me to cover the right edge of that
Bunker and get it down there somewhere and Chip it up and try to make birdie but it’s not a hole where I’m I’m thinking I’m going to make birdie every single time I’m I’m okay with bar I me you got to be in the right spot and and
Kind of if you’re out of position play a position you can get up and down um but it’s it’s an iconic hole and and one of the best short par forwards we play all year we’ve seen in recent years more people going after it on number 10 why
Do you think that’s the trend recently and then I know you mention your reasons yeah I mean the green just so firm I mean with a wedge in your hand you have to be so precise a with your Spin and and hitting in a 10 or 12T area I mean
That’s that’s really difficult to do and and most people can get to the green um so they feel like they can chip it closer than they can hit a wedge um so yeah I don’t know why the strategies changed but that’s kind of been my strategy since day one of playing this
Place I can’t remember back in 2013 or so um trying to send it up there and and I’m okay with par I it’s one of those holes you just don’t want to walk away with a five or six I mean par you’re not going to really lose any shots it’s been
It’s been a long road back to get to that level you were at in in 2021 what’s your excitement level you know being back in the mix heading into Sunday yeah uh it’s always fun to be in contention and and seeing the golf ball do what you
Want to do um cuz I know I still have it and and some days feel better than others but it’s just fun being in the mix and then playing a big tournament like this um the best players in the world I mean I I uh I love it and I I
Hopefully can make it run at Patrick tomorrow obviously he’s playing really well but uh it’s just fun being in the mix and and having a chance and getting those nerves and butterflies going um that’s kind of why you practice and prepare for for tournaments like this
And and moments like this of um being close to lead did you have any doubts during the recovery process um you always have doubts I mean you’re laying in the hospital bed and and on crutches for a while um I just struggled in my
Hip for a while and it was it was time to get it done um but it it’s felt great now my physio team has been awesome back home and they’ve got me uh on the right track and um I’m glad I did it it it sucks
To take that much time away from golf when I was playing well um but I’m glad I did it and and hopefully it’ll be better in the long run I’m yeah it’s really a tough business
