Hey guys welcome back to the channel and today we will be previewing the Farmers Insurance open this tournament is expected to start on Wednesday instead of Thursday this week trying to avoid the NFL and PGA overlap uh with the playoffs going on so today we are going

To look at the Farmers Insurance open and first we’re going to start off by talking about the course uh this tournament is an interesting one as the they use a rotation of two courses uh the first two rounds one is on the south course and one is on the North Course

And then from there on the final two rounds are on the south course the South course is long uh it is a par 72 and is over 7700 yard and the North Course is essentially a very similar version of the North Course or sorry the North Course is a

Very similar is very similar to the South course except it is 500 yard shorter um with that being said the rough is very brutal here um and with the area getting a ton of rain uh you’re going to need to be in the Fairway to give yourself a chance or be really good

At scrambling this week in addition the greens are POA and they become really bumpy which this tournament has a very uh low average for makes between 4 to 6 feet uh so those are trouble and putting is going to be a determining Factor this week uh being able to get up

And down and avoid bogey some of the past winners here include Max hom Luke list Patrick Reed those are the most recent winners uh Mark Lehman has won here before as well as Jason day Justin Rose rant Saker and John ROM pretty much what I’m getting from looking at those winners is that

They’re able to make par uh pars good score take advantage of holes when uh you’re able to and when you’re in position uh to hit a good shot and yeah it’s it’s really a steady game um this week don’t try and get too high don’t get too low and make

Sure you just keep it one shot at a time if we look at our Draft Kings pricing this week uh Xander choffle is our top price caller at 106 with Patrick Klay being just behind him at 10,500 then you have col morawa who is 10,200 and Max H rounding it out at 101

H is the defending Champion here and it will be looking to win again um he he’s been on a good start to the year um t7 at the fortnite he won on the DP World Tour t13 T14 um he just knows the course really well I think he’s going to be super popular

This week uh with that in mind I like to Pivot to morawa this week at 102 um he also has been playing extremely well 105 or sorry T T5 at the Sentry solo 7th at the hero he won the Zozo and yeah I I think he’s going to get a lot of uh

Depressed ownership this week being sandwiched in between H and then Klay and shley I think shley and kle are going to be 25% plus I owned uh this week considering the pricing um has is very soft usually to start the year and they have played this event

Numerous times and have uh played well here before that being said I would rank them morawa first for me then hom um and then Patrick and Xander third and fourth if we move on to the 9k range we have sunj leading it off at 99 lud VI is

Back this speak at 97 Jason day former winner here at 9 9500 20 feno 9,300 and lastly or not lastly Min Le 9100 lastly a Cole at 9k out of these golfers the two that are really bouncing out to me is sunj at 99 um uh he has some good course history

Here playing well um in the past two years and some other top 20 and 30 finishes last week or at the American Express got off to a great start the first three rounds round four didn’t go quite as well um but still had still had a T5 at the Sentry T12 at the

Zozo and he’s one of the more um equal allaround players uh you know solid off the tea uh with accuracy not very long but you know can poke it out there approach game is good around the green he’s solid putting you know is good as well uh he’s one

That I like this week after he was popular a bit last week uh ludvig this week is also one of my favorite uh tournament plays um I know he hasn’t seen this course before um or at least he has not played it on the PJ tour he might have played

It in a um like a Collegiate event or you know an amateur or something but he’s one of the longest guys on tour um but he’s also one of the more accurate and so with that skill set I am very interested in him this week this isn’t a course that necessarily can be

Overpowered how however he with as I just said his accuracy being a higher percentage for a longer driver of the golf ball um just gives him I think more chances than other people and I’m not I’m not sure how many people are going to click his name this

Week uh considering we have KL shley hom um and I like his price I think he’s been priced well uh right pretty much all year and I think this is a um a great spot for him this week uh Jason day is the other 9k range person I

Am looking at at 95 he seems to have found his game a bit with his T10 at the century his solo 11th at the hero and he had four rounds under par at the American Express the other thing I like I like to see is the

Three Bogies I know he did have a he had two doubles and a double um in the past two tournaments but if you can keep the bogeys down and you know make par J Jason is one of the best in the business so I would rank them

Uh ludvig sunj and then Jason for my three out of the 9k range that I’m interested in the next range the 8K range we got Keegan Bradley Bradley starting off at 8,900 secondly we got Harris English at 88 uh sahala 87 substa 86 HEI matama 8,500 Nikolai hoard 8400 Justin Rose 8,300 Adrien

88,200 Daniel Burger 8100 will zalatoris 8K as well as Christian bazen out at 8K out of this group of golfers the three that I am intrigued by are Harris English at 8800 um he has some good course history here and is one of the more accurate players or not accurate uh just steady

Players um on tour he can poke it long but or not poke it long but he can you know poke it out there but his game is you know trying to find a fair way make a you know a nice approach and make a putt um not he’s not short like

Brendan Todd he’s longer than Brendon Todd um he’s just got a simple game and you know he’s very solid all around I think many people won’t touch him this week because of his price I think people might um gravitate towards or CH you know rather choose Keegan Bradley at 89 or

You know seala 87 and I think they might just think that it’s an OP price but I think that’s an advantage we could um take this week the next golfer in this range I’m interested in is Hideki Matsuyama Hideki is another person who has played very well here over the years and

He just kind of knows the course um he knows where he needs to miss he where you need to hit um on the green just tons of uh experience here his form is getting better um that’s you know always a question for him when he

Can uh find that form he can get really Danger ous and this seems like a pretty wide open tournament this week um 8500 for him however is pretty cheap and I think he’ll be very popular so I’m not exactly sure how much I will have of him this

Week or any at all but I think he is one to look out for this week um especially in this range and the final uh person in this range I am looking at is Daniel Burger um this is his second event back from injury and he played well last week at the American

Express all rounds were under 70 I believe yep all rounds under 70 only had five Bo or six Bogies on the week um he’s another player um pretty accurate off the te straightforward with his approaches um around the green is solid putting is solid and I think the all-around game is

What makes a winner here and burger is one of those players and I know zalot Horus just returned from injury but he is not playing you know up to that level play that we expect of him and I think Burger is fully healthy ready to go cuz he took a ton of time

Off and I think after his performance last week I’m in on him this week uh as well and if I were to rank them I guess in my um preference I would say Burger 81 Harris englisha 88 and then Matsuyama 85 if we go to the 7K range we’ll look from

79 down to 75 okay we got Keith Mitchell leading it off next we got luk list at 7,800 Steven Jagger 7,800 Patrick Rogers 7700 Ben Griffin 7700 Adam senson 7600 B Hustler 7600 uh Nick Dunlap 7600 But he has has withdrawn this week um after his win

Which was pretty exciting uh to see on Sunday uh so congrats to him Ryan Fox 7500 AE batia 7500 amelon Grio 7500 and lastly Rio hisun 7500 this range honestly I don’t necessarily enjoy much um Adam Fenson is one that I’m looking at as 7600 um pretty good all-around

Game uh and I think that’s just kind of one of the key factors that I’m choosing to uh specifically look at um like I guess for me like in these in this range like Keith Mitchell um had a great round on Sunday this past week um but he hasn’t been he

Hasn’t been playing up to the best that he could play um not saying that he can’t win this week I’m just at 7900 I don’t necessarily think that he can do well enough um and I guess I’m just worried off the tea and um the approach has hasn’t been um

On point until that last round uh luk list he’s a former winner here um he’s been playing great uh the the driver scares me a bit just because he can get erratic um at times and the putting is not great but he has an allaround um Elite approach game as well as around

The green and scrambling he is pretty good at as well um so he interests me as a former winner and his skill set um just not sure if I’m totally in on him Steven Jagger is a very similar skill set um but he is I would say

Better off the tea than list um but worse around the green and I I would say around the green has a significant bump this week um considering the difficult uh difficulty of the course um that we’re playing at um Um yeah Patrick Rogers I mean he’s from California um he can get hot so like I don’t hate like him he’s probably going to be lower owned I would think um yeah out of out of this group I don’t see much um that I have interest in if we go down

To the next group we got a big group here so Taylor Montgomery starting it off at 7400 Billy H horel also 7,400 as well as Aaron Ryan Taylor pendrith at 7,300 we got JJ spawn Adam shank Taylor Moore Michael Kim McKenzie Hughes 7200 we got Alex SMY Tom hogy Davis Thompson

Sam Ryder Justin Su and Kevin Yu 7100 we got Thomas dietry Alexander Bor um K Lee Austin eot Matthew Pavan Matt Wallace chessen Hadley and then at 7K we got Gary Woodland Nicholas lenheim Scott Stallings Nick Hardy uh song Kim had to make sure it was

Him uh Ben Kohl’s Mark hubs and Sam Stevens out of this group um not much honestly uh Billy Hall has some good uh course history here he might pop in ownership this week um he hasn’t played great um but then this but sorry but then again

Um he’s had a t18 a T4 14 to T20 and two Mis Cuts oh he also had t18 at the BMW PGA so like it’s it’s there he can play well um we’ll just I mean he he didn’t play Bad last week he had 17 birdies only two

Bogeys you just had two doubles if one of those is just you know if he doesn’t have a second double I think I’m pretty sure he makes the cut or he’s you know closer so I don’t hate Billy this week uh JJ spawn is someone I’m looking at

Um missed the cut at the Sony um but t13 at the RSM T6 at the zoo he t11 at the fortnite uh fortnite’s a decent long track not obviously not as long as the farmers um but he’s just a solid solid approach player um decent off the tea um around the

Green can get creative um and is very underrated putting Hit or Miss um but he has some good good results here I’m trying to think of anyone else that I am interested in especially on a long course like maybe Austin eot just with the driving accuracy you know getting getting him in the

Fairway um I know he had gained steam last summer and then his game kind of went away but he has made five straight cuts so I mean that’s promising um Yeah Austin out say I’m interested in him other than that though I yeah there really isn’t anyone in this in this

Range I’m looking at um around the green I mean McKenzie Hughes is good around the green um he can pop you know pretty much anywhere uh his driver scares me a bit um being that he can have huge misses yeah that’s it that’s pretty much

It for the 7K range um I’m going to I’m going to go deep dive into the 6K because there is a couple players that stuck out to me um when I looked through initially uh Grayson s 6900 has some um good result or has a couple good results

Here um he’s been playing well well pretty accurate off the te solid approach player and can get hot with a putter t17 last week at the American Express T8 at the RSM classic he’s someone that I’m looking at this week um Doug gim uh he’s two for eight on Cuts made

However I mean four rounds under par at the American Express you know it’s I get that you know it’s a miscut but also he even though it’s a miscut you’re still playing well enough or still playing well it’s a good confidence booster he just he just missed out on the Sony just

Missed out on the RSM same with Bermuda I mean he was T15 at the worldwide technology and t17 at the fortnite so I he also has some decent results here um he is an accurate or one of a decently accurate player off the te solid on approach uh just around the green can

Get a little sketchy and the Potter is not um not always certain but can get hot as well then I keep click or talking about Johnny Vegas um he just missed out last on the cut um last week he’s a former winner he not here

But you know he’s a former PJ tour wi winner um for his I know he’s returning from injury um but he has a few events under his belt I don’t hate him as a six kick range same with Molinari um he has some good results here and he is good around the greens Um yeah I would say honestly that’s kind of about it for I guess interests um yeah yeah this this week is it’s going to get ugly I think um we have I mean usually the the average winning score is around uh between 12 and 15 under uh and

So there’s going to be a lot of people that are overpar this week I think the cup will be overpar probably be I would say two I’m going to say two over or it’s going to be CL maybe one over um but yeah this is this will be an

Interesting week I’m I’m curious we’ve had three long shot winners the past two weeks and I’m not necessarily expecting a long shot winner this week considering the tournament has always had the better players rise to the top um but I’m excited for another week um of golf and so this this

Will conclude the preview and I will be posting uh corls cheat sheet um cash and gpp player pools uh for the tournament on my patreon uh either tonight or sometime tomorrow uh but either way it’ll be up before the tournament starts on Wednesday and with that I appreciate

You guys for watching uh like subscribe and comment who your favorite play is in the 8K range this week and that’ll do it have a good rest of your evening and I hope that you all do well this week
