Okay well Rico it’s a heck of a way to start uh 9 under 63 with the hometown crowd watching you just a few comments about today uh it was it was a great start um yeah I kept ball in front of me it was kind of cool having everyone out

Here my family my dad girlfriend coaches everyone out here so it feels like a home event for me I only live like an hour away so I grew up out here since uh you know playing junior junior tournaments out here so it was fun awesome you guys got a few

Questions I let you go first uh 63 Nicholas tournament course and yet you’re only tied first obviously part of the storyline at this tournament is you got to keep going low uh but this is as good a start as you could ask for right

EX for maybe that put on 18 ah I me N I guess isn’t it um is that is that a daunting thing to come in here and say well I got to keep shoting 63s uh kind of yes and no but I mean the conditions out here are so great uh you

Know the greens are fast they’re rolling great uh grass is awesome um you know coming out here there’s three different uh whatever courses and yeah I’m just going to keep doing what I need to do I’m sure everyone has their own game plan but today was a great start and I’m

Just happy to you know end the way it is and just going to keep rolling uh and uh Rico obviously congrats uh golf is a crazy sport a lot of ups and downs but today got off on the right foot you know uh just to start

Just walk me through the process of you know just likeing the fall getting your tour card and being back here in Southern California yeah I mean it’s great I’m so happy to be out here so stoked um it’s always been a dream to play out here I’ve watched this

Tournament growing up and even next week as well so it’s it’s just every week it’s just so awesome I I’m so used playing on the corn fairy tour and it’s a great tour but being out here is is truly a blessing so I want to take every

Opportunity that I can and I’m just going to keep rolling just part of the grind right exactly I mean no grind I’m having a good time awesome thank you thank you you said youd played junior golf out here how many rounds had you played on

This layout uh handful of times I mean I I think I’ve played more than half the courses out here there used to be a a junior tour called you know Southern California as PJ Junior Tour and they had a desert series out here then another tour called a CV tour Coachella

Valley so there there these courses were very fortunate enough to have us out here as Junior golfers coming out here and beating it so uh yeah played out here a handful of times and all the other tracks as well is it any different now where the way it’s laid out for this

Tournament than it than it was when you played Juniors I I I think it’s a little bit nicer I would say it’s a a lot firmer um conditions are just awesome so I mean you know they they keep it well kept throughout the year but it was just

It was truly fun being out here and playing how fast in for it was today so we we really had a great time I got more but I’ll let Larry step in yeah no worries a lot of those junior tournaments would have been summer tournaments right oh yeah it was so hot

But uh they would te us off like first off so you know a kid who was like 10 years old trying to push his card out here at whatever 100 degree weather that would have been pretty bad so we would see off first and yeah Pace play was

Watch it and it it was really cool and then they would try to host a tournament like a month after so we would you know be Fortune enough to play a month after and it was just really cool to see I W know I want to ask you if you know who
