You (and others) keep mentioning how there's so many smart people in the room when trying to figure out this multi golf leagues thing, yet time and time again, these PGAT people continue to prove that theory wrong.
I've lost all interest in golf since all the confusion came about. I no longer watch it at all.
We all need to know why the leaders of the R&A and DP World Tour have resigned. Do players and loyal patrons not have a right to know? Why is it taking so long to agree to a union, is this uncertainty not detrimental to the game of golf? Why are players not demanding answers, especially those on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour?
Golf, as it's being played out at the highest levels currently, is not a game anymore, it's a business. Assets and liabilities. Who's generating interest in watching golf? Ok, you're an asset. Who's not? You're a liability. The concept of competition seems to be lost, the actual playing of the sport. There are hundreds of millions of dollars being generated and tossed around by the organizations claiming to rule professional golf, but only a small percentage is going to the actual individuals doing the generating…the players. LIV has exposed this on the part of the PGA and the R&A, and their reactions at the beginning confirmed it. They really thought this would blow over quickly and the majority of their players would show solidarity and squash LIV. It appears that the ruling class of these organization are afraid they're going to lose the power and control they've enjoyed all this time with no real competition.
Stoped watching golf channel, they are so many puppets especially brandel and his side kick , how long until the flip?
Here it is: Liv changes their format to 72 holes so they can get world rankings for a chance to get into majors. Liv change format in 4 international events and allow pga players and Liv players to play in a 96 man field with cut. This would not be a Liv team event. If they cannot drop team events, then add 4 international events to have a merged event. Get Liv top players to try to make the cut in 4 non elevated pga events so they can earn world ranking points. Second tier pga players would be open to that because they would be playing with better competition which would elevate the points they earn. Get rid of OWGR and create a new objective world ranking entity that is not in bed with pga so rankings can be fair and give all golfers a chance to ultimately compete in majors. Start there and modify and improve as things evolve.
As long as me and my mates get to play golf in our beautiful country Australia I really don't give a s*** what the pros do it's getting very boring and been over it for a long time a bunch of spoil Bratz
…PGA Tour model is finished…everyone is finally accepting that golf will be a global sport with ALL the best players…KP had to go, as he knows, he threw the LIV DP players under the bus, bigtime, hence IP's comments. Top US players are going to have to get used to travelling globally if they want to be part of the "big bucks". GN is finally getting a better deal for golfers – something he always wanted. US HATE that part and are pretty pissed they are no longer the only "kid in the sandbox, with the best toys" …suck it up US PGA…PS..Jay definitely has to go…what an arrogant man who, all he had to do, was take a simple phone call…what a "tool"…😏
