Okay guys so today’s video basically is going to be me working on the GTI I’m about to do some Bondo actually right over here we’re going to fix this all up finally um I got all the stuff I need got the paper got the B Bondo I got the

Screen thing and yeah we’re just going to patch it and then spray over a black back and um basically what really happened was is my axle was actually clicking so um it was clicking pretty bad and it was to the point where it was clunking

So I just decided to get a new one and we got all the tools out right now and we’re basically going to get to it so I was just going to let you guys know what you guys need for the axle job on a 2008 or to 2006 GT TI um basically

You’re going to need a 17 mil for the the tire to take off obviously but after that you’re definitely going to need the triple square bit set and you’re going to need the 10 in there going have to use the 10 these are for the axle bolts

Um but obviously they come to a different one if you want uh to like a Allen key kind of thing um they give you that they well they gave me this at the store so and I gave me a new bolt that and then as well as you’ll

Need a one and 116th or the axle bolt sorry um coming off the off of right here so yeah so you’re going to need the one in 116th for the axle bolt once I take off the rim you’ll see it I also know I’ve also been neglecting this thing

Guys for like about the past like 4 months but it’s time to get it back up and looking good going to get some uh different coils for it um probably some different rims too cuz the rims are just stockies but they look pretty good they’re the BB the BBS from

Factory snowflakes so but we’re taking all the stickers off going to do this this will be Black by hopefully the end of the night tomorrow these are all taken off this is getting taken off antisocial to boost Dynamic Night Runner um we’ll leave this in that

Taking that off and we’ll fix this as well [ __ ] fix this this got cracks all in it on the intake I don’t even know that’s probably what I’m hearing it’s like whistling like when I give it a lot of gas like like I’m tweaking babe

I all right what do you need help though he guys we got the car on the jack stands right now it’s a little rainy and wet but we’re about to take these triple square bolts out I think it’s a 10 I think this has been replaced though so

This may not even be it I might have just bought this [ __ ] for nothing but we’re about to see um there’s I think like what six on here and then um we have the one uh one and 116th to get out right here and uh it should just pop right out

I might have to move a a linkage maybe just to get it out of the way but we’ll see what happens all right guys so taking out the last bolt right now for the axle for this part we still have the one and 116 BT to get it should just come

Out let me see if I can set this up this is me P all right I got it all right all right guys so I literally just banged out the axle now I’m about to find out if I have to uh take off this linkage to take it out I

Hope [ __ ] not maybe I can like rig it out um but yeah so I didn’t even have to take the [ __ ] rim off but definitely there’s a stripped lug nut now um but let’s see what it looks like under you all right we got the axle out now

This is what they were talking about you might have to take this off right here but like dude that’s so shitty why would I want to take that off I just I don’t know if I want to do that but we got all the bolts out it’s

Out on that side out on this side so let me take it out of the whole car and we’ll get back so basically the the nuts that were in here were actually really easy to get to um they weren’t even really uh like tight I should say necessarily they were like just like

Just like you know what I mean like they weren’t even torqued they were basically just ratcheted and it’s a 5/16th for the axle bolts um the 116th right here wasn’t really where’s it at right here actually this one wasn’t even in so somebody plac this not too long ago cuz this isn’t OEM

But yeah I’m about to take it out now all I got to do is take these three bolt these three bolts off of um the control arm underneath right here right there there’s three but I got two of them off already all right guys

We got the last B off right here I don’t know why I do this [ __ ] in my driveway um I mean I could have took it to somebody but I just don’t feel like paying the money for it when the part was only like $40 so but we got it out basically from

Here to there I just got to lower this contr alarm and then we should be chilling and we should be able to drop it I might have to take this um linkage or whatever off right here I think it’s like a 15 behind it

But we’ll see I might be able to drop it but I know I’m supposed to take the wheel off like an idiot but I stripped the bolt the lug nut so I can’t take it off so I’m just trying to do without it but we’ll

See yeah I think guys who ever put this on put it on backwards cuz these things are facing off they’re supposed to be down like the threads are supposed to be on the opposite side like not up here I’m supposed to be wrenching from bottom

Not the top so whoever did this [ __ ] did it wrong it’s got to drop it it’s got to be able to drop it guys no can’t be I got to take this off see TJ banging really doesn’t know what he’s doing I just take it all apart

And just hope for the best so we’re going to try to take this off in the video like they said and dropped this it’s not even going to drop any cuz of the [ __ ] wheel dude this is so [ __ ] guys oh my gosh this going to suck dude [ __ ]

Man yeah well hopefully this goes well if not it’s going to suck this thing’s going to be sitting for a while so all right guys so we got it out or dropped it but the wheel’s probably in the way so this is probably not going to [ __ ] work

Man and that is going to suck dude but let’s hope for the best so see if we can get it hey guys finally we got the [ __ ] axle out guys come on you [ __ ] here we go that’s nice look at that look at that guys guys we got the old axle out now

We’re about to put in the new one just got to filled it up with some grease in the packet filled her up um you’ll just all you got to do is just open this it comes with it you just pop this off all you do is pull it back

And just fill it with as much grease as you can within the bearing Wheels um not the wheels sorry the bearing balls and then um close it back up basically this has become like a two day not even like a day and a half basically I should say like 6 hours um

Even though it should took like 40 minutes but first of all I couldn’t get the lug nut off of the car one lug nug so that one lug nug actually right here as you probably can see right there yep this one all these came came out this one’s loose this one

Was the only one that was stuck on so right then and there I was like [ __ ] you know what I mean I don’t know what to do cuz I need the wheel off obviously to like push the control arm down and um I guess you know what I mean I couldn’t do

That so I was like hopefully I can still take this axle off with the wheel on so I just put it up um jacked it up put actually something underneath try to take it off to make the wheel stop spinning but that didn’t work so I put

It on the jack stand went from underneath the car actually basically and under my 2008 this is a 2008 GTI 2006 and like n I’m pretty sure the same thing um you take out these three bolts right here one two and then there’s three this will drop right so then um

When that drops you’re going to take this linkage out right there and that linkage it goes to the like basically to the shock just take that bolt out that’s a 177 and um that will just come right out so then basically you’ll drop this control alarm so you can pull this side

Out right and then shove it down and then this side will pop out so basically that’s what I did and it worked um I put it back in the same exact way but you might have some trouble putting it back in but eventually it will go in there um

I’m about to put in the axle Bol right now to this side and then um yeah we’re GNA drive around hopefully it doesn’t [ __ ] keep clinking no more so we’re going to see if it’s still clinking then it could be something else but yeah that’s about it I mean I just

Wanted to tell you guys what really happened while it was it was taking forever but we got tools laying everywhere man shit’s beating me up but it shouldn’t have that’s what happens little things always will get you man all right guys so I just started taking on a test drive real

Quick but I got a noise I want to check out when it get down to lower RPM so I’m waiting for it to warm up but the axle’s good I got the whole wheel back together not together but basically all the lug nuts back tight
