Hello and welcome back to another football commentaries live stream to see off the end of 2023 we have the great and most historic fixture in Scottish Football of Celtic they come bitter Rivals Rangers at Celtic Park in a Scottish Premier ship game which could turn the tide in the title race campaign
The Celtic coming to this game off the back of a two-nil away win at Dundee on boxing day which puts them on 48 points but two wins from their last four at home is seen form that Celtic fans aren’t used to at Celtic Park four Rangers they are in terrific form coming
Into this old firm Derby unbeaten in their last 17 in all competitions which includes 14 victories it has put them on the tail of Celtic as they are now Five Points behind them in the league with two games in hand the first and only meeting between these two so far this
Season has it was a one-nil victory for Celtic at I bro a kyogo stunner on the stroke of halftime gab Brenan Rogers a first win back in this fixture since his return to Celtic this summer so for the final fixture for both of these teams before the new year can Celtic make it
Two wins from two this season against the jurs or can Rangers get their revenge and cut the Gap at the top of the table to only two points it’s always a very tasty fixture this one I always enjoy watching the old firm Derbies and I’m quite glad I’m one
Who quite enjoys them being played very often within a campaign you know they play each other you know five six times depending on cup runs and everything like that and it’s always a really interesting game this one’s at Celtic park there are no away support
In this game um that was the same as the last one at I brought cuz there was no Celtic supporters at that one and there’s no Rangers ones today it’s over 60,000 capacity and it be full of Celtic supporters and you might say that could have an effect that might have a
Positive effect for Celtic but like we just said I bro had no Celtics supporters in the last old firm Derby and Rangers went on and lost that game one0 so it should really only have a positive effect for Celtic but Rangers are on such a good run Celtic are not on
The greatest run of all time they’ve got two losses from their last five in all competitions you know Rangers are on a win run of um seven wins in a row which includes a cup final win um as well against abedine so you know everything kind of turns the tide towards a Rangers
Win but the fact that it is at Celtic Park where they usually are so good at home Celtic you might remember uh recently that um they they uh lost um League game at home and it was it ended a 52 um unbeaten League run 52 games unbeaten at home that’s a ridiculous
Record that came to an end and then they also lost back toback League games for the first time in over 10 years so little records like that kind of being broken are not things you really want to break at this time of year when Rangers are on such a good run but runs
Like that can’t last forever and that is ridiculous 52 League games unbeaten at home um subscribe going up thank you very much what’s the reasoning for that then you know I think it’s safety I just think it’s you know that’s the only thing I can put it down to um I don’t
Know for sure but you know because it is it is a very very tense fixture this one it is on the pitch and is off the pitch as well so uh my only guess is safety but I don’t know um you know just trying to segregate them and keep them segregated
You know going into the ground it’s more I think once they’re in the ground that’s probably the easy easier part because you can separate them quite easily and but then that again that loses more seats because when you separate teams you you kind of like have
Barriers don’t you and you have like um things over seats so that’s my only guess it was the same in the last fixture and in all honesty I don’t think I a team want that I mean I don’t know that’s just my thinking if I was a
Supporter and there was no away fans in such a big game I just think it’d be a little bit not rubbish obviously because it’s such a big fixture I I’d just rather have away fans that’s just what makes football great having oppos having both fans in the stadium you know giving
It back and forth obviously there’s a line I understand that you can go too far and obviously don’t agree with that but you know at the end of the day safety comes first and you know if these two clubs or Celtic or whoever the league believes that the fixture is
Better off with just home supporters and that’s that that’s the way it goes and that’s the way it’s going to be but I don’t think that will detract from the fact that this is going to be a fantastic game of football and you know what with this Rangers team I’ve been
Watching the last few weeks under Philip clont the new um head coach that came in in October I think they’ll enjoy this I think they’ll enjoy having to come to Celtic Park no support of their own not underdogs in a sense because I think it’s an even fixture this time but just
That that Underdog kind of feeling they’re coming here on their own you know backs against the walls you know Celtic are probably going to come at them with their home support I think they’ll quite like the fact that they that they’ll be just they have a real
Real chance to cause an upset at Celtic back and and and send these home support home disappointed and worried that the fact that Celtic are going to be right behind them like I say Celtic are run 48 points Rangers are R 43 but Rangers have two games games in hand the Rangers last
Game that they were meant to play against Ross County was postponed so they have two games in hand on them even after today obviously because they’re both playing each other so and then that if they were to win today that would put them two points behind and then if to
Win the two games in hand you know that put them four points ahead of Celtic it it could be a real momentum swinger this one Celtic really could do with winning I don’t think it’s a must- win for Rangers because even if Celtic do win they’ go on to 51 points
And then you know Rangers win their two games in hand that puts them two points behind Celtic so they’re still right on the tail I just don’t think Celtic would like the fact that Rangers would have the control in the league if they were to win today but they’ve got to put up

Angle towards the B line he tries it and it’s had to be saved the near post by butland and it’s a corner on the far side for Celtic interesting balling behind there caught out Conor goon and kyogo was sent away on the angle so it was hard for him
