We’re back and in this video we’ve decided to put regular shars in play right Johnny oh no for will so laughing for we’re actually professionals this is literally my job what if I told you that by using whippy shs you could become a better golfer we’re going to find that out today myself and Johnny here at golf magic we’re at Fox Hills and we’ve got four

With all of our videos now Johnny freeflex let’s get into this this is a stupidly weird brand I don’t mean that in a negative way sounds kind of negative but these are very expensive we’ve got hammer throw we’ve got ff45 and then we’ve got metaflex which is

Very different a very cool thing which we’ll get into later so with so many to choose from how do I know which one’s best for my game well they kind of go up incrementally you swing at about 100 mile hour yeah roughly yeah they are the BS the hammer throw here which is

Actually 160 CPM which genuinely is absolutely ridiculous is for the slowest swing feed players and by being 160 CPM you’ll see when we put it up later it flexes all over the place I think it is the whippi shaft in golf this is also very light as well and I wouldn’t

Recommend it for for myself I would have to change the swing weight and everything and i’ probably snap it in two going up to some different ones such as this one here which Johnny’s got in his hands the ff45 this is still incredibly flexy and some long drivers

Actually use this the ff45 we’ve also got an FF 38 that is the weight so 45 G and 38 G these are very very lightweight when you’re thinking things like vent’s black that goes into 60 70 85 G you’re thinking 40 G isn’t a lot we both know

That in terms of the golf swing body massive isn’t it we hit these already and they’re incredibly incredibly light but there is a problem I’ll be honest with these two here there’s a problem with them and this is one thing with free flex and autoflex all right these shafts do have a problem

They are too light and they are too flexy to an extent they do work very well here at Fox Hills just the hole we’re looking out on is quite wide but let’s say you’re playing a course at the US Open PJ tour players who have used whippy sha they struggle because they

Can you can hit it off the Panet left or right they shouldn’t be as flexy as let say the hammer throat so here comes metaflex metaflex is weird because this shaft does not I’m doing it now this sha does not feel as flexy it’s still about

I think it’s a mid2 200s in CPM so it is still that of a regular shaft but when I’m swinging it it doesn’t feel like a regular shaft it still feels like a Ventus a Ventus black or a blue no I’ve enjoyed Swinging with this one it feels

A lot more solid than these two you previously mentioned less less terrifying yeah less terrifying you actually feel like your hands are connected to the club and the head collect to the shaft it takes a while to get used to we’ve got these really cool funky Cadera grips on there as well

Which are I think incredibly helpful it does still feel weird and the main thing that you need to do with these shafts is get custom fitted for them and that’s what we found out we took these shafts over to custom golf works all of them hammer throw ff45 and then also the meta

Flexes I’ve got a 6.5m I believe you’ve got a six 6h yes we took over to Custom Golf Works to get the numbers for these because they’re downright ridiculous right first up we’re going to start with the the lowest CPM or I would argue the most ridiculous sha possible

And this is the hammer throw kind of cool colors but um like this reminds me a lot of the orange whip also lag shot but this is actually a playable look at that a playable Shar playable 140 CPM but it’s also 3.5 torque which is actually quite low I’ve got a sha over

There a put it smoke green Hulk Edition and that has a rating of three for the torque which is very low so there you go right let’s find out just how playable it is yeah this is this is meant for a slower swing speed so this

Is more just a bit of fun for someone probably more swinging into the 90 M hour so we’re a little bit higher than it so I would swing a little bit smoother if it is a good hit yeah I mean that’s not right to break it before you

Hit it but yeah all right give it a go that’s do it give it a go you made contact I’m mad that is mad how that has managed to stay in the air for quite 250 oh that is a low ball flight bit high in bit high on the face that’s it

Apparently it’s not bad I mean okay the spin the spin’s awful let’s hit that again better look at that I mean it’s still not getting particular you are particular how is it not spinning I would expect that to be otherwise look at that 1100 spin so that’s actually

Good so you’re not you’re not especially swinging it that fast I think for these type of Premium shs which cost a lot something such as the FF 38 or going into the metaflex will be better for you and we’ll probably see you going up to I

Would think maybe 105 or so I’m trying to be fair I’m intentionally trying to sling it slowly focus on just get like Tempo cuz it’s like one of those training AIDS isn’t it you kind of got to make sure you complete your back swing before initiating your down that’s

My God I was 12 degrees out to him oh my God cut those numbers don’t show them right all right so this this sha isn’t for us I happy say it’s definitely for someone who is the slowest s swing speed player probably more for a senior golfer

Someone like my dad your dad yeah his dad someone who probably swings it 9 95 mph or so if I were to go Full Throttle at this there should I yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah okay yeah golf here we go ah the classic knuckle ball lovely

Low spin that one very so yeah not ideal for us not for us but let’s move on to the FF 38 that one I’ve actually had this sh in a few other videos previously over at gry golf and that one can actually get on with a little bit better

It does take a while though I think what we’ve done well here is we’ve gone from the most outrageous and we’re slowly climbing into a slightly more normal golf shaft yeah so let’s grab that now keep going B go 255 carry yeah I mean that’s normally what I’m kind of

Looking at 275 total 2500 spin good numbers I need to start slightly further right I think that sounded good that looks good yeah that’s held its line slightly better I think yeah I really like that it’s still still varing a touch left but I mean very consistent that kind of is my

Shape I do hit I really like those numbers for you yeah I’ve always a custom F it’s um that’ be good that was hit well I think but I think it’s going to spin a little bit too much yeah yeah that was just that’s better no it’s so

Bad I cannot wait to see how much that span that sound is good yeah I hate it well I reckon that could be 6,000 spin yeah oh my God it’s 6,000 spin it’s it’s 6,000 spin in 167 M now ball speed that’s what you call a balloon

Ball I believe custom fit all that I going die okay I can’t hit this but there’s a really special shaft that I’ve talked about earlier the metaflex that I think is a lot more suited towards gopers who don’t want this you know this really really low CPM it still is in the

Category isn’t it it’s still quite flexy but it manages to kind of push a little bit more towards the likes of aventus provide still numbers that are with a light sha extra B speed supposedly as your Club head speed does it work let’s find out let’s find out right

This is free flex’s newest creation it’s not a Frankenstein Club it’s not scary it’s actually a little bit Tamer than the other ones but it’s got some really cool Revolution technology which I’ve already talked about with the CBT that makes it I mean completely different to

Uh and also Ventus black 6 or 7x they’re still really good shafts like what is this better perhaps cuz I’m that was 121 K speed for that F if it can be fast and accurate those are two Mega things that’s the trade-off isn’t it like you’re getting slightly faster cled

Speed but do you feel more accurate with it I can feel tell how accurate on this testing has has to be outside has to take it around the go which which we’ll do in a second let’s see if I can get 123 yeah spinny really spinny it’s

Because I feel like your swings are slightly different and I have actually found this spins a little bit less outside maybe it’s because I’m freeing myself up it a little bit better we’re going to take it out to the course we’re going to get a launch monitor out there

As well and see if we can hit it and hit our personal bests with these because surely compared to what is normal shafts we should be able to swing a little bit further we should be swing a little bit faster and then hopefully get ball speed

Records and hit it as far as possible at Fox Hills which sh are you going to pick though the ff45 or the metlex uh I’m going to take out the metlex so we’re going to going to double down in the metlex go out to Fox Hills and see if we

Can drive the green let’s do it after our data testing at custom golf works I was still a little bit miffed because I hit it really badly Keith at Custom Golf Works came to my rescue and by changing the swing weight of the club by taking

Out the back weight on the Ping g430 LST I managed to lower the swing weight by about eight notches to I believe C4 that made my driver spin a lot less than what we saw at custom golf works and now I’ve got a massive tea come Johnny is freezing cold that’s

Piped it’s crazy how it doesn’t spin I know I mean that was 102 look at those numbers that’s 2, 240 that’s good that’s similar to what I find interesting about these numbers so far especially with Johnny and this is the think thing with me I’ve had to

Really change the swing weight with what I would say is more of a no offense every everyday golfer type thing you can just plug and play where’ te go I’m not sure Johny hurry up what’s important about this as well I we clarify we’re trying to pump it but

Difficult to hit they take a while to get used to the numbers are sometimes inconsistent you definitely need a fitter to help you get the correct swing weight also get the correct shaft so it’s not easy so does it really justify that $500 to $750 price tag well Johnny
