Low and cut horribly into the car park oh all at the car sorry do you struggle with slicing a driver just can’t stop so frustrating isn’t it look I’ve got two simple really easy golf swing tips that could help you reduce the curvature and for some of you actually get you drawing
The golf ball they’re easy they’re simple and they’re a little bit surprising let me show you so the first tip is we need to try and get you hitting your driver with some body shapes that a little bit more this way so basically the body is moving this way
Through the ball so you’ve got some tilts and some rotations what we do see from slices is we see this kind of wanting to come this way at the ball quite level with the shoulders then stalling every kind of bunches up where better players we definitely see more of
This action where the hips are going tilting this way as they come through as they rotate shoulders are rotating and often not as much as people think but tilting so the easiest way of doing that is we’ got to get a grip of your ball position stop putting the ball way up
Forward in your stance such a common problem with slices so this balls right up towards Big Toe what this does is it encourages more of a leftward path which if you leave the face open to that which most of you will that’s where you’re going to get those big spinny ones off
To the right and believe it or not for most golfers having to ball this far forward encourages a downward and leftward attack where they try to reach forward for it if I was to do the angles that you see from better players with the ball this far forward so this tilt
That we’re after it’s not going to work Club is literally just going to crash back here and this is such a common problem with slicers the ball just goes further and further and further forward cuz it can make you more functional playing with the slice but it encourages
More slice we want to discourage slice so let’s get your ball position moving more towards the left heel and even for lots of you I’d like you to practice with it inside of your left heel so like a balls width inside of that lead heel simple way of doing that just get two
Balls in line at the range where you practice and make sure that ball position is two balls inside so it’s on the second ball so one ball two balls there for that lovely ball position that now encourages me not to go this way because if I do this Ball’s going to go
Low and cut horribly into the car park oh oh all H the car sorry I’m in the uh boat club I think so what we want to see is with this better ball position you try now to feel like you keep your upper body back as you hit the ball let the
Lower half go forward this will give us a much better option of creating some shapes in our body even when I hit a slight Mish hit there little bit of a drawer oh it’s in the bunker better than being in the car park I am recording ing this video on
The craziest ho at Pebble Beach to be hitting driver every time but it’s a lot of fun right next point we need your hands moving this way on the down swing so feel like your wrists are turning back away from you as you start your down swing you’re really turning that
Club around itself to getting that pad my stricken pad here really trying to feel like it’s turning to the back wall to the camera here as I start down you can do this movement on the way back but you have to do it on the way down as well
I see so many golfers trying to sort wrist angles out on the way back but as soon as they start the down swing they want to put forces through the club they use the ones that feel more comfortable for them which is to add this angle in
That gets the face turning this way and that car park isn’t safe they are your two simple fixes that if you take them to the range next time you practice ball position not too far forward with your driver feel let you’re turning those wrists away you’re going to start
Hitting drives that perform way better with better trajectories better distance oh we’ve hit the line that should just go right now on the line please now if you want to learn how to add more speed to this action this video’s got all the information you need to improve your driving distance

Brilliant video Mark
I find I slice my drive because I swing and jump away from the ball and that makes me then come across the ball at impact.
Hi Mark, new sub here love all tips and videos.I'm on the news letter also. So, is that a stock Riptide? Will the magic wand ever make a reapearance? Cheers, happy New Year
Hi Mark, I'm new to your instruction tips, so helpful. Took some drills to range working on contact. Never hit them purer, straighter, and the distance improvements, AMAZING! Thank you so much for your simple, effective engaging teaching methods. You made an older golfer very happy New year to you and all the team. 🤓
