It’s Tuesday December 26th I’m Matt Haron welcome to the Yahoo fantasy football show I hope everybody had a very Merry Christmas a fun weekend filled with family food fun and most importantly football because man we got a lot to talk about it is a hell of a day to talk

Ball and join me to do just that is the one and only Scott panowski Scott what’s going on buddy happy holidays um another week in the books a fun week with all the game spread out I felt like I got to watch more football than I normally do

Because we just didn’t have like those those crazy nine game windows and stuff like that and a lot of weird stuff there were upsets upsets at the top of the food chain we’re trying to figure out some offenses where they’re headed so there’s a lot to break down let’s let’s

Get into it yes let’s get right into it man um like you said a lot of um unexpected results a lot of crazy things happened um I think think if you are listening to this podcast and you know anybody that worked in sports this weekend in football like there were some

There was some fun I mean I was writing articles writing recap from uh damn Christmas Eve party it was an electric weekend of football um but let’s start with recapping the three Christmas games going in reverse order starting with the game we just saw Ravens 33 ners 19 um

This game started out Scott looking like it was going to be kind of one of those weird defensive contests um I mean Lamar Jackson was literally called for a intentional grounding which resulted in a safety because he tripped over a ref in his own end zone so that was the type

Of game we were getting in the first half but then 17 straight points between the final drive of the first half and the first five minutes of the third quarter featuring a couple of just unbelievable freak Show Moments by Lamar Jackson completely changed the tenor of

This game to me Scott this was like the personification the the the plan brought to life of the team building Evolution executed by Baltimore this off season the same old suffocating defense Now complemented by explosive and dynamic offense that features some good young pass catchers man it did I thought Z

Flowers for a decent chunk of this game was the best player on the field they didn’t need to throw the ball late when they had such a big lead Baltimore had seven straight possessions I think where they scored the first half I actually thought San Francisco was the better

Team other than the turnovers and I realize you know you can’t really say that the turnovers are huge plays in the game and you Brock P’s MVP case probably disintegrated with the four picks that he threw but Jackson was much better in the second half and flowers had a couple

Of electric plays and you’d like to see a little bit more fantasy juice out of Baltimore Gus Edwards is still that touchdown or bus guy he got the touchdown today but other than that he you only had he had that one reception which he usually never gets but he only

Had 31 yards rushing Justice Hill got work didn’t do a lot with it flowers likely to a lesser extent were the only pass catchers in the Baltimore scheme that got home but I guess really the big story to me was just how Baltimore’s defense had a field day with the San

Francisco offensive line I know there were injuries on Custer injuries on that San Francisco offensive line we saw pie play his worst game take sacks throw picks it was it’s just weird the Niners did get some chunk plays early in the game and couldn’t maybe get the points

They should have had in the first half but it’s just so strange to watch watch a team like San Francisco that and I’ve been on this bandwagon for a while they’re the best team in football they they’ve separated themselves from everybody and they got their tails

Kicked in the second half I thought the first half was about the turnovers the second half Baltimore said no no you’re not winning today we’re dominating you physically beat him up a little bit and you know San Francisco’s a physical team too so it’s just I think pie look he

Still got all the great pieces around him he still got Kyle Shanahan they’ll fix this they don’t have to play the Ravens next week they play somebody really B Wasing next week I think so you know congratulations out which WR down 50 points for the ners right now but it was

Just weird to see Baltimore play one of its worst games of the year you give the Ravens I’m sorry uh San Francisco play one of its worst games of the year you give the Ravens credit of course but um I I didn’t think Brock py had this type of

Game in him but that’s football everybody every once in a while just shows you that you you have a day it’s not your day you make a couple bad decisions a couple deflections don’t go your way next you know you’re on the bench with four picks yeah

Um Dalton and other pry for MVP backers have brought up the point often that hey he’s been doing this behind an offensive line that isn’t all that great in pass protection um he’s had to make more out of less from an in-pocket standpoint he’s had to go in creation mode quite a

Lot and then like you mentioned Trent Williams goes down other injuries happen on that offensive line and you sort of see that like oh yeah this is a problem area when they have to go straight drop back pass it’s an it’s an issue that was kind of in full display on

Monday night’s game to the point that I think when Sam darnold took his second sack Joe bucks like that’s the fourth sack the Ravens have got to I’m like only four it felt like more uh but because a lot of the times when pie would get out of sacks he would end up

Throwing uh turnovers you know stuff like that so it was definitely I think P’s worst night uh the worst night we’re going to see out of this offensive line overall if they can get healthy on the offensive line I have no concerns about them going forward you know pry probably

He was medically cleared to go back into the game but I think it was one of those like hey there’s no reason to put you out there when you’re when you’ve got this shoulder Stinger obviously that is something to keep in mind too he took a

Brutal hit last week in that win against the Cardinals and then obviously has to leave this game so that’s something to monitor with him going forward if he’s going to take more punishment we got to keep an eye um on this injury I’ll just close it out with with Baltimore again

It’s you’re right that like you wish there was more fantasy juice but this has been kind of the classic Baltimore Ravens offense all year it’s like man Lamar Jackson does some incredible stuff um you know there’s a couple of good catches by the pass catchers you know

Isaiah likely he looks like a beast out there at times Z flers on with you they they were intentional about getting the ball in his hands but it just is kind of one of those offenses that they’re not going to completely light up the scoreboard in any given week and and

When their defense is playing like that they don’t have to and also they they do shuttle in their receivers you Beckham is never going to be aund snap play guy anymore you know it’s just but baitman is not going to be out there all the time they had a touchdown that went to

Nelson agalar today which takes it off the table for other guys and now their running game has three mser feed if Justin Justice Hill is going to play that much so the Ravens probably a much better real life team than a better fantasy team at the moment yeah hey I I

Could get that game in the Super Bowl again and be pretty happy with it we get that match up I thought the energy level was really great in the first half it was really loud it’s just what it just gets deflated when one team plays well

In the second half and one team doesn’t and I hope I don’t sound like I’m saying anything to cheapen the Ravens Victory because they were the better team they emphatically went in to the team thought to’d be the best team in football and said uh we’re kicking your ass tonight

So congratulations Baltimore yeah like I said this was a very defensive slugfest type of first half and then Baltimore just broke it open and and that’s what I think I want to come away from this game emphasizing why I think this is such a big win for Baltimore because how often

Have we said about these Lamar Jackson teams especially the last two seasons under the Greg Roman regime team on offense how often have they been able to break games open like with Demarcus Robinson who’s who’s actually kind of balling right now for the Rams but Demarcus Robinson is the number one

Receiver just hasn’t happened that’s why I think like this is the dawn of a new age for the Baltimore Ravens and I’m I just close with this I’m going to draft sa flowers I know secondy year receivers have been a little bit of a tough call the last couple years things haven’t

Fallen their way this C certainly this year it hasn’t worked out but I’m going to want safe flowers next year I am probably going to be right there with you let’s move on to the next game the middle game on Monday on Christmas Day Eagles 33 Giants 25 Scott the Eagles

Ultimately escape with a win on the back of an excellent second half ground game DeAndre Swift finally has a big fantasy performance but I don’t know that they can feel all that much better about their clear glaring issues especially on defense yeah I thought about the phrase

You use a lot playing with their food it’s kind of what this game felt like the eagles get out to a big lead they allowed a touchdown to the Giants on defense but it’s like oh well the Giants don’t have anything on offense to come back

I think Tommy DeVito hit the Joshua dobs moment of his season where it’s like it’s been really fun but it’s it wasn’t sustainable and it expired today and the offense was better with Tyron Taylor although most of what he did was that long touchdown to Darius Slayton guy

We’ve always liked you know my best ball teams appreciate Slayton as a wide receiver six but at least this is a game this is a game where I thought I’ve said maybe the Ravens didn’t get the fantasy juice they deserved out of their game this is a game where I think it actually

Played better for fantasy for the Eagles than they actually played because the distribution Devon Smith gets the touchdown AJ Brown and G get the targets dandre Swift was really good scored a touchdown as well Herz you know Herz has a touchdown in his back pocket when the

Game starts because they’re so good at the goal line with that he threw a touchdown pass as well get over 300 yards I didn’t feel like the Eagles played that great but they put up 33 points and anybody you wanted to play in this game got home which is not easy to

Do so we’ll take that on the giant side I was asked a lot of Barkley questions this week and I wasn’t sure what to say because I thought the game could get out of hand and even though it did Barkley absorbs 26 touches he gets a touchdown

So um I don’t think he was an automatic start this week I don’t think he’s an automatic start the rest of the season with this offense where it’s at right now but if you can get him to 15 touches you have to consider him I just think

He’s kind of like a dep a roster depth dependent running back to right now I think that’s pretty fair um yeah it was good to see Tyra get back out there I I think he’s probably better on the backup quarterback re scale than Tommy DeVito despite the story um but again you know

Hey no shade to Tommy DeVito who did a lot more than many people were given him credit for um I’m with you there’s not a ton to say about the Eagles like like I said it was great to for DeAndre Swift to finally kind of have that big fantasy

Day because uh the first touchdown man was so classic like he gets tackled at the one yard line and old Jaylen Herz comes in and gets the tush push and he’s right in there got to drive you crazy if you have DeAndre Swift and fantasy but again he ultimately gets over 90 yards

Ultimately scores the touchdown um I want to close this game just asking you Scott like how much of a separation is there right now and we’ll talk Cowboys later on I I think we’re still pretty clear that Niners are the top of the NFC and and I don’t know about you but I

Kind of feel like they’re in a group of their own right now in that conference how much of a separation is there between Eagles Cowboys down to Rams Seahawks I mean I should even say the Bucks I’ll even group the Bucks in there how much a separation is there between

Those two teams and then the next group of the NFC there’s less than I thought there was a month ago I I thought the five six seven seeds were just well not the five seed the five seed’s always been the team that doesn’t win the NFC

East and that’s a really strong team but I always have the six and seven seats were window dressing I don’t feel that way right now the Rams are dangerous Minnesota’s a little bit frisky Seattle’s a little bit frisky they’re all flawed teams but would would I be

That shocked if somehow the Seattle beat Philly or I think Dallas could lose to anybody I think the lions are a good team they could also lose to anybody gotten some push back from Lions fans who giving me heck for things I said five months ago about the Lions I look I

Love the Lions I have them all of my fantasy team I still think their defense isn’t that good we’ll get to them in a minute but you the NFC is was looking really topheavy and I still think the ners are on their isolated Plateau but those two three and four teams look more

Vulnerable especially the two and three I think they’re more vulnerable than I thought maybe they were and Bay you Baker Baker’s playing really well I’m looking forward to talk about them in a little bit yeah I’m looking forward to talk about the Lions too when we get to

That game and we’ll get to it very shortly but I I actually kind of feel like I feel better about the and I know it’s it’s a week toe league and it’s crazy I def I definitely didn’t feel this way what I’m about to say like two

Weeks ago so maybe I’m a I’m a dummy for even saying it now but I feel better about the Lions than I do about the Eagles and the Cowboys like I feel like there is a jump down from it’s like Niners in their own group Lions kind of

In their own group and then it’s sort of everybody else there I think in the NFC but again I wouldn’t have said that two weeks ago so maybe I’m a dummy for saying it now but let’s move on to the uh first game by the way we’re gonna get Lions

Cowboys in uh in week 17 that’s GNA be pretty fun Standalone game on Saturday can’t wait for that one with that exciting note let’s talk about God what was just a like kind of a depressing game to watch Raiders 20 Chiefs 14 if you were invested in the

Chiefs in any level it was depressing to watch like this was the offensive frustration really coming to a head in this one but man honestly Scott like all I want to do is talk about Antonio Pierce and the Raiders I mean this guy the Raiders have no reason to be

Playing like this they have no reason to be going into Kansas City into Arrowhead and upsetting the Chiefs in week 16 they interim head coach you know fullon in tears after the game in the postgame interview on damn Christmas morning uh or afternoon whatever like that sort of a feel-good

Story that that team was so lost under Josh MC Daniels to start this season just so completely beri of any optimism hope identity and Antonio Pierce you know it’s not been perfect there’s no doubt about that but the last two weeks alone like just what he’s gotten out of

This team I think he deserves and will probably end up getting the head coaching job um in in in Las Vegas there you know he’s hugging Steve spagnolo after the game Chief’s defensive coordinator his defensive coordinator W when he won a Super Bowl with the Giants

I mean what a cool story I think for Antonio Pierce I think it’s more than a cool story I think he’s really gotten like he’s shown what we want out of a head coach like getting the best out of a roster that was in really really bad

Shape when they fired Josh MC Daniels totally agree they have a personality now they have an identity they play awfully hard four and three since Pierce took over and couple of their losses someh they lost that three nothing game with the Vikings kind of an ugly game

But they had a competitive game with the Chiefs in the first meeting they only lost 20 to 13 to Miami who is obviously a very good team and some of their wins have been dominant they they beat the Giants you beat the snot out of them they they beat the Chargers obviously

What they did what they did to them last week and this game I mean 2014 it was such a weird game because the Raiders got control of the game and they didn’t need to do anything they basically took the air out of of the passing game okell only throws

21 passes was for 62 yards um we didn’t complete a pass in three different quarters I think that was the little nugget in this game but the Raiders defense is decent and as I said they’re so competitive and they’re physical and you know Max Crosby is the perfect guy

At the front of that unit but a lot of guys are playing well right now and I feel like we say this every week but this Kansas City receiver room Rashid rice has been promoted it get to the point today that his receiving prop is actually higher than Kelsey’s which

Tells you where the chief’s offense is right now and your rice get the 12 targets 6 for 57 is disappointing but Rashid we’ve we’ve all we’ve been in on Rice when he was under roster we said pick him up when he was under starter we said start him everybody’s there on Rice

Now but he’s a good player he’s not a special player Kelsey looks every bit the 34 year old that he is this receiver room needs I mean I say a fresh card of pain I might knock down a wall I mean they need they need they

Need to fix things and the type of stuff you can’t fix now it’s not like all of a sudden it’s going to be oh okay we figured out you what to do with um with Tony or we figured out the Richie James plays or you know we figured out how to

Use Justin W that’s none of that’s going to work these are all your tertiary players at Best you know some of these guys won’t I think Tony dress this week they can’t fix this and it’s just it’s hard to W I don’t I’m a fan of Patrick Mahomes because if you

Like football you’re a fan of Patrick Mahomes it’s frustrating for me to watch him have to deal and people may say boohoo he’s been to the Super Bowl a bunch of times they win the division every year probably still win it this year even with this late hiccup but I

Think a lot of people think like this game a lot of people are probably like during the game oh okay I got to go live back Kansas City or Kansas City will come back Mahomes will figure something out I’m at a point I’m I I’m not there

Man with when the Packers beat him a few weeks ago I’m like they’re not coming back and I just think they’re just another team that’s gon to go 10 and seven and I don’t think they can beat three good teams in the playoffs they could I they could beat anybody why I

Give a chance to beat Baltimore a chance to beat Miami a chance to beat Buffalo I don’t think they can beat two of those teams and then beat the NFC team I I don’t I think the chief’s chances of winning a championship this year are essentially

Nil yeah when cly Edwards Air took a 32 yard I think it was a screen pass and you know got him down near the goal line I I did live bet the Chiefs plus five and a half because that’s where the line was I was like oh yeah I mean plus five

And a half on the Chiefs I’m I’m in on that but I’m with you Scott that they ran 74 plays in this game 70 four plays and it felt like it man I mean everything felt hard for this offense like they can’t even do basic stuff like when they’re trying to run motion

They’re trying to get guys set is there’s like nothing there I and it honestly is a point where like what are they coaching in that receiver room I I really am starting to wonder just from even beyond the player standpoint like what is going on there you know

Obviously now it’s like Sky Moore is on IR as you mentioned garius Tony didn’t didn’t dress in this game because he’s got an injury and it’s it’s like who cares like you said Rashid rice we have been saying this all season on this show that like you said it perfectly he’s

Good player but he is not a true dynamic number one that you should really be giving 12 targets to like he doesn’t he’s not that advanced in terms of his skill set he’s only still doing a a handful of things really well I think the fantasy breakout sort of kind of

Covered up that from like a real life football perspective and like I think Mahomes Straight Up played poorly in this game now there are a lot of times where he is scrambling and you know he is just waiting for guys to come open and like I mean freaking mvs has been on

This team for two years now and like he he just can’t get open he’s never been a guy that could get open zero zero catches today and you know he can’t get open on these scramble drills it’s a mess uh so I’m with you man I my faith

In Kansas City turning it around because they have Patrick holes because they have Andy Reid well they had both those guys today and they got waxed by the Raiders who did score two defensive touchdowns in seven seconds seconds but regardless like that’s not surprising when you play this version of Kansas

City the median for Mahomes YP this year is under seven he he was what four and a half today or five or something really low he’s had a bunch of games 6.2 6.3 5.8 he was 4.1 against Philadelphia and I feel like I watched the poor man’s version of this offense the Patriots

Where everything is five yards seven yards every scoring drive has to be 13 plays there’s no explosiveness there’s nothing there’s no player who takes the top off a defense and I’m not picking on Rice he’s a good player but he’s not going to run by people and catch a 58

Yard touchdown pass they don’t have that guy mvs isn’t that guy anymore obviously Tyreek Hill has been out of the building for a few years and like a lot of teams player valuations hard they’ve drafted poorly they’ve traded poorly they’ve identified the wrong guys to fit this

Offense and there’s a lot of really smart people Andie re’s really smart a lot of other team bill bich as a Patriots fan I’ve watched him draft po at the receiver position pretty much the entire time he’s been in New England that got covered up because they got

Moss at the right time they got Edelman at the right time and Wes Walker and stuff like that but their early picks on receivers have been Dreadful Indy Reid they they’ve misfired on a lot of picks man and it’s going to the Mahomes window is still open for you

Know a handful more years even though he’s got the big contract but it just feels like they wasted this year because I don’t think they can go anywhere yeah I’m with you it feels like they have both drafted and selected in agency poorly like again I I cannot believe

Like the contract that mvs is on and just how much he plays for this team and based on what he was in Green Bay like they selected poorly and I think they have developed poorly so I think the Chiefs have to take a hard look in the

Mirror with how they walked into the season from a wide receiver perspective and just a skill position perspective because there there’s a lot of bad stuff going on just across the room you know besides Kelce so they got to look themselves in the mirror for sure one

Quick thing I want to say about the Raiders and look the flow of the game they weren’t going to let okon lose it so unfortunately if you needed Myers you needed Adams you just weren’t going to get home today it’s a shame that this game was on Monday for anybody who

Needed to play one of their backs because I think zamir white on a Sunday you would be like okay Jacobs is out how does zamir white play into my plans now it’s hard when you get a running back on a heavy Underdog you’re not sure what his receiving chops are maybe people

Wouldn’t have played white anyway but I feel like this 145 yards was probably on a lot of people look no touchdown so it wasn’t the greatest fantasy day 14 and a half points in most leagues but I feel like a lot of people probably would have

Been able to play zamir White had the week had a different Cadence to it unfortunately with the Monday situation we didn’t know jacobs’s status until today it probably meant that a lot of people who wanted to play White couldn’t do it let’s move on to the Sunday games and

We’ve got three Headliners here to talk about starting with lions 30 Vikings 24 Scott you were dialed in on this game as you mentioned uh the Lions winning their first division title in like 20 years man I mean it’s wild yeah it was nice to see this game look

As new transplanted New Englander I’ve lived in the Michigan area for two decades I roote for the Detroit teams I I don’t live and die with them necessarily but I’ve fallen in love with this Lions team Campbell’s likable the sun Gods like it’s the whole team Aiden

Hutchinson I I like everybody on this team and people Detroit’s been so down bad with their professional teams you know the Pistons are terrible the Tigers have been really bad for a while the Red Wings have had losing teams for for a while they’ve started to up upswing for

These teams Detroit wins the Division For The First Time in Forever the Red Wings are pretty good this year they the Red Wings are a lot like the Lions they’re all offense they don’t have any defense and they they’ll probably make the playoffs but nobody thinks the Red

Wings are going to win the Stanley Cup which is kind of how people probably I don’t kill me lions fans but I don’t think anybody thinks they’re going to the Super Bowl this is a step in the right direction or a couple of steps in the right direction the defense still

Allowed 41 passing yards to Nick Mullins of course it was Nick Mullins so he threw four picks and he took four sacks and you know they didn’t win they they got enough Negative they got enough disruptive plays and Detroit’s offense is good enough that if their defense can

Be disruptive they can live with giving up some chunk plays just take the ball away a few times get a few stops you don’t have to be a lock down defense because we’re probably going to be anywhere from 24 to 30 points every week and on a good day we’ll score 40 and

Detroit’s so clean for Fantasy you know who to play you know where the ball goes yeah I mean leor didn’t get home today whatever we saw a little bit more Jameson Williams but both of the backs were good Sun God was good and it was nice to see Justin Jefferson do his

Thing I realized Minnesota they had a different run out because they had hackinson get hurt they had Jordan Addison who’s having a really nice season get hurt so maybe KJ Osborne is on your way for why are you gon to look into him Tai Chandler got the touchdown

Deodor in but Justin Jefferson managers I I I hope you got into the playoffs you would have played him this week just because you had to because how can you sit a guy like Justin Jefferson it was just nice to see him I don’t know 70 %

Of 80% of what he usually is he’s actually got a really good history against Detroit it’s just football’s just better when Justin Jefferson is back doing his thing yeah this was a very like it is what it is performance from the Lions man they’re just a good team and this is

Kind of how I expected them to have to win this game some big big moments out of the running backs which is what you need when you go against this Brian Flores defense but I do think the story is a little more interesting on Minnesota because like you said as soon

As Jordan Addison went down and then T.J hackinson goes down like Nick Mullins is completely dialed in on Justin Jefferson which is really all we want out of Nick Mullins from a fantasy perspective but my god dude I I have a lot of respect for Kevin oconnell as a play caller him

Having to go from Josh dos then to Nick Mullins with and especially Mullins man with how Reckless those guys are with the ball like I said it on during the game that’s gonna age him like a president you know when you see him when they go into office and when they come

Out that’s what oconnell is going to look like at the end of this year he’s had the poor man’s version of this the fansy season he won’t get anywhere near as much credit because their record won’t be as good and they you know but he’s been terrific he made dos work for

A couple of weeks and he’s made Ms work for what it is they mov the ball there were too many mistakes I think that’s more on Ms than anything oh yeah you know Mullins is like he’s not again he can he is a he’s a distributor he can

Get the ball to Playmakers but he is a he is a turnover just waiting to happen like you’re you know you’re stepping on that landmine he’s got some of that Ryan Fitzpatrick in him he’s going to throw some to your guys he’s going to throw some to their guys it will probably be

Fun and at the end of the day you’ll probably be a little bit disappointed yeah I I can’t remember who it was I saw somebody do like a the Evol like the Pokemon evolution of like it’s like Nick Mullins to Gardner menu to Sam how to Baker Mayfield like it’s all kind

Because to me Scott the best unit in this game was Miami’s defense like outside of that final drive the offense in Miami they did never they never like slammed the door shut they did at the final drive they finally kind of just ran the ball up the gut which is the

Know no big deal but there there hasn’t required of there has not been required situations for Miami to just like throw the ball all over the yard and put points on the board because again this defense is very very good and I think that has taken a little bit of Shine off

The aan stuff has taken a little bit of shine just off of like two’s overall end of game numbers even though I still feel really good about that offense again generally I I think they’re going into the they’re going into the playoffs this year as a very very good team that I

Think could potentially go the distance and again it comes back to that defense without their best pass rusher they made dax’s life hell in this game and and I think he was pretty good in terms of sack avoidance um I thought his pocket presence like he gets criticized for

That stuff sometimes but I thought overall this was a pretty good showing for him like again he had to really kind of pull teeth just to get anything out of this game but that offensive line is a concern like you mentioned from a run blocking perspective uh but really from

A pass Pro perspective like Tyron Smith not being out there is just so crippling and Zach Martin not being 100% it’s a problem and the second Pitch stuff you’re you’re right to mention that but you can’t get to a second Pitch when this offense is so predicated on timing

And Rhythm and even if these guys can get open when like Dak wants to hit the top of his drop and get the ball out and you can’t do that when there’s guys in your face all well said I want to say this one more thing about Miami if I had told

You after they beat the snot out of Denver that 7020 game that Miami would be in the hunt for the number one seed at the end of the season Tua would not get hurt and they would only have two clear wins for Fantasy one would be Tyreek Hill one would be Raheem moer

And 45 Point Club 40p Point Club he had 45 points in Yahoo standard I believe he set the Browns record for most receiving yards yep and I I give flacko certainly some of the credit for this it wasn’t going to happen with any other other quarterbacks Browns have had this year

And I would include deshan Watson in that group but Cooper was winning I I just I was blown away how good I I watched all all of his catches and and then I watched them all again that’s that’s how great Cooper was in this game but you know my my former

Because bad organizations Scott like let those situations Fester bad coaches make those situations worse like this guy is way too talented and can be way too good of a player for Mike Tomlin to allow that to happen and this game was a great sign that it’s not going to happen yeah

I mean I gota own it too I I was certainly critical of Pickins I was talking to our colleague Frank Schwab and say look you can take plays off if you’re Randy Moss you can be a pain in the neck if you’re Barry Bonds or somebody George Pickins has not earned

The right to be that kind of a diva he needs to block he needs to try to make a tackle after an interception his compete level against the Colts was not acceptable and I have friends who are Georgia fans who live and die with every

Snap at UG and they said you know Pickin had that same rep at Georgia you know he wanted to Coast on his talent didn’t bring it snap to snap you got to give Talon credit though look at the Players he’s dealt with right I mean Antonio Brown was like the ultimate space cadet

It receiver even at a position that often has Mercurial guys Levon Bell unusual dude Martavis Bryant there’s a lot of really unusual cases of just different personalities and and different players who needed handling and I don’t know the they’ve never had a losing season it’s

Have to remember look they only had 25 Targets in this game nobody had more than six so I think a lot of people are probably going to like I gotta play pickings now and then next week he could have 21 yards and you know Deontay Johnson had a

Two for 15 game this offense is not meant to support multiple pieces we didn’t see anything from Pat fry mov in this game and again look they controlled it with defense they had a big lead when you have a 24 nothing lead with Mason Rudolph you take the air out of the ball

And that’s what they did but even in a week where Pickins was great I don’t know that he’s an automatic starter next week yeah it’s tough and and look I I had again I posted a video like literally that the morning of this game like saying yo he’s got to be more

Consistent he’s got to be better I deleted it because I didn’t want a bunch of clowns dunking on me after the game uh like as if what I said was not true he does need to be more consistent he does need to be better because he can do

This but he needs to run block he needs to be he needs to put that time in like that’s just so obvious um yeah when you got one guy averaging 48.8 yards per catch nobody else is going to go off but man I I’ll just say closing note for the

Turns up big on third down on the final drive um but yeah he’s just not like the central part of the game plan which shows they have other options like we talked about Dallas they have other pitches but his lack of involvement is at a very alarmingly low point I’m

That I am interested to see how ekler finishes here because obviously with what he said on Eckler’s Edge like he’s open to open to moving on from football but he’s also open to coming you know and play he knows he can play another year it’s just got to be the right

Scores the touchdowns you play Godwin every week he gets the targets and you need PPR component but they’re all fine and then maybe you can talk yourself into ancillary guys but it it’s really that those are the guys and they do it every week they’re incredibly consistent

And consistency is great in fantasy I can’t remember the last time Rashad people like oh Rashad white killed me I it feels like every week he’s like running back seven even when he doesn’t play that well he still gets a touchdown he still gets six catches so his usage

Is he’s just pushed everybody else out of the way Lawrence isn’t playing healthy right now we saw isn’t he’s not as 100% anywhere close to it no etn was living on touchdown deodorant I think I think it was James Co who made the point that maybe it was Adam ronas I’m not

Sure who it was uh Le what pick any really smart fantasy analyst who’s not Matt Haron is who who said it maybe it was Andy baren but that etn and Pard were having the same year except that etn had the touchdown deodorant Paul didn’t and now um all of a sudden Travis

Looked at Young Packers offense continues to show a lot of promise but man that defense is just dead weight real changes need to happen uh for the Packers on defense in the offseason for them to get where they need to go not going to happen this year it’s a future

Young was thrown for like 130 yards a week and they throw up 30 points and at least with Carolina you can play chuba harbard every week and the Packers the young probably the youngest receiver room in the league and without Watson without Reed the guys that you would

Have plugged into their spots they all did something whether it was volume or touchdowns so it was nice to see we feel good about the Green Bay offense and who knows maybe they’re just going to be a carnival the rest of the season and there’ll be some more high-scoring games

To come they um so that’s something look they have a Vikings game coming up that could be a high-scoring game but um yeah their defense just handed a way to car Caroline I I here’s the good thing we weren’t I wasn’t sure I don’t want to

Say we don’t want to presume you because I remember your stance on this I wasn’t sure if Jordan love was the guy I’m not saying he’s gonna be great but I I think they can at least say yeah Jordan love has earned the right to hold this chair

For a while I think he’s played pretty well and you would think somebody in this receiver room is going to step forward I know Watson’s been hurt most of the year but Reed’s shown some flashes Wicks can play they have some Talent at tight end so I feel good about

The Packers offense going forward same I think Jordan love can play um I wasn’t sure about it coming into this year didn’t feel great about it when the Year got started or kind of in that like right after the first few weeks but he’s played extremely well he’s bounced back

I think from a couple of rough weeks there the last two games so good to see for Jordan love because there are some real good young players in this offense next game up here Falcons 29 Colts 10 Atlanta gets a win with Taylor hanii under Center whoopy do bejon Robinson

Goes off in the constellation bracket match match ups but uh Scott I come out of this game kind of wondering if we’re in the middle of the Gardner muu stubs his toe moment that I’ve been afraid of for honestly what feels like months it’s just hard to expect a lot with Pitman not

Playing and the Falcons shut down Jonathan Taylor you know 18 carries 43 yards so what are you g to do on offense your your two best guys are Pitman who’s not playing and Taylor who can’t go anywhere um it’s a shame because I think a lot of people needed Josh DS in this

Game he gets nine targets they go nowhere six 39 that that’s not going to do it we know they they love to use like secondary tight ends granson leads them in receiving yards it was just it wasn’t it wasn’t the right day for them and unfortunately

E even when things go a little bit better for Atlanta we just had the we have to lower the bar so much we’re oh okay Robinson got 19 touches 122 yards no touchdown that’s good oh aler got the get the touchdown run and he got 10 T

You know all right I’ll live with hey Cal Pitts three for 49 in a touchdown probably his third best game of the year and we know this offense can’t support we talk about sometimes offenses can support three or four different guys this offense is never going to do it so

When I tell you Robinson got 19 touches and Pitts got a touchdown you you know somebody’s going to pay for that it’s Drake London three for 39 four targets it’s got to the point where people don’t even want to ask about him anymore I don’t think hinek is that good he was

Fine in this game but I expect he’ll reveal himself to be Taylor hinek again really soon and throw three or four picks yeah that moment is always right around the corner with Taylor H next game up Seahawks 20 Titans 17 um if you needed something from a Seahawks

Receiver in this game you sort of kind of got it Scott from a fantasy perspective but it took forever for Seattle to put this one away which I think was pretty disappointing Contin considering the opponent you know fact the Ryan tanah Hill is back out there
