The BEST Game IMPROVEMENT Irons of 2024!! NOT WHAT I THOUGHT!!!

Today guys I’m going to be talking about what I think will be the best set of irons you can pick up at a bargain price in January once all the new technology comes out the Minor Detail here is and you will see I’ll be talking about an

Old favorite here a cobra Forex if you watch my channel I did use these for around about a year not this model well certainly not this model but it was the previous generation so if anyone’s noticed I’ve actually picked up the wrong clubs so I thought I was doing a

Quick one I thought all right I’m going into James Robinson’s garage I’m going to pick some clubs to get out here and film and I wanted to film with the Cobra Forex as you’ll see on the screen but once I’ve just been on to check the

Price I said oh they don’t look the same as the ones I’ve got in my bag James and he said why I said well they’ve got blue and red writing on them he says well that’s a minor detail because they are the on length irons so I’ve never tested

On length irons so this video is going to be a little bit of a test for me and a test for you we’re going to put them out here on the golf course into action but this is what I think will be the best deal so I do think these cobra

Forge Tech hollow body isons are probably going to be the best Hollow bodied irons of the Year for me and they’re going to be the best prize probably coming into January or into early next year and that’s for me where again the everyday golfer as we know golf is getting exceptionally

Expensive so if we can pick up a deal in January and get some fantastic clubs then why not that’s a nine iron obviously we know they’re all set at the same length it certainly feels strange over them I did pick them up in the garage they had the wrappers on

Which I thought a bit strange that James has not use these and I picked the pitching wed up and I thought maybe it’s just the angle I’ve got it at but now we know they are the one lens comment below guys does anyone use the Cobra one

Length irons I haven’t tested them at all all the time I’ve been doing YouTube I haven’t really seen James test them out but have you used or do you use them how have you found them are they still in the golf bike or have you replaced them with maybe the standard

Normal length for shake irons so with one length clubs as we know they’re going to be around about an eight or a seven iron length through out of the bag it certainly feels weird when I’ve got these pitching wedge now to chip with I’m feeling like I’m gripping really far

Down that and trying to get a strike not a bad strike there running out nicely but these clubs I think hollow body designed they’ve got all the Forgiveness the perimeter waiting Cobra Forge Texs were something that I used for a long time yes they’re a little bit strong

Lofted but who doesn’t want that little bit more help they get that little bit more distance they get the launch from it being hollow bodied and that for me he’s taking a lot of boxes at the mid- handicap goal for once now this is where for me it’s going to be interesting

Anyone with one length clubs have you found that maybe you’ve dropped off with your longer Club so I’ve got a five ion here which is the highest club that I could find in James’s garage am I going to lose any distance obviously it’s a little bit shorter now than the standard

Five I so am I instantly going to get maybe less distance or do I strike it better and still get that I’d be expecting from here with a 5 in to be hitting it probably 185 so we’ll use the golf cart here to take the yardage where

We are now and see where it is when we get down there I mean I’ve hit that pretty well nice flight got the trajectory looks to have gone a long way so let’s get down there in six I’ll be very interested there and this is something that I’ve found with mid-

Handicap Dave for example he did find that he actually Struck it better when he had a mini driver a little bit of a smaller head shorter shaft felt more comfortable than when he has a standard length driver shaft in there maybe obviously some irons with shorter shaft

In those longer irons for someone like Dave a 13 handicapper trying to get down to singal figures could be better because comment below guys are you somebody who’s a mid-handled to hit your mid irons to Long irons pretty well and if you wanted me to have a look at that we do have

Subscriber Saturdays now where you can send in your videos I will give you analysis go through you give you maybe some drills to work on to help you get better at your gameing guys if you are enjoying the content here on the channel at the moment please do hit that

Subscribe button I have been informed that over 60% of you are not subscribers so if you are enjoying it please do hit that button let’s go and see how far that’s gone so you’ll see on the screen guys I couldn’t get it with the camera

So it is a picture but you can see off the te’s that I went off the gray te’s it was exactly 180 yards so very interesting there that it’s still gone the same distance as I would expect from my normal five iron so it has actually

Left me 190 so I’m just going to hit another one of these it’s slightly more downwind here the balls above my feet so that should turn it over a little bit but very interesting here would I put these in the golf bag I’ve hit them pretty well do they do any better than

My current irons maybe not but if you do struggle with the longer irons in your bag then this is certainly something to look at because it’s a great option for you to get more centered strikes and the whole idea obviously behind it is to get in the same posture every time because

How many times we see somebody one posture with a pitching wedge is this which is the wrong posture but they hit it that way then your next position with your for iron his arm straight this is trying to get you into that exact same posture every single time and if that’s

Something that you struggle with you’ve been for lessons you keep going for lessons and all they talk about is you need to improve your posture you need to improve your posture then maybe some of these IRS could help you we’ve only got to get into the posture once we’ve just

Got to then repeat that and we’ll start to potentially get some better strikes hit more greens and start to lower your scores that is a great fly ever so easy to hit and I’ll zoom in if anything that’s gone a little bit long downwind I could have maybe clubbed down and that’s

Interesting there if I strike the ball better I might even start to Club down but guys look out in January these Cobra Forge techs are fantastic ey maybe even look at the one length if that’s something that you are struggling with I’ve certainly enjoyed them today certainly strange with the pitching

Wedge but with a long stuff it is fantastic he can help you get a more centered strike get better distance but look out for those Bargains coming into the new year that’ll be one of the best ones I think that you can pick up watch out later in the week we’ll be talking

About which Bargains I think will be the best from driver down to poter

  1. Always fancied trying them, but not prepared to buy untested. I heard the early versions were not as good, but the technology has improved so that their problems at either end of the bag have been eliminated, due to clever weight and loft manipulation.

  2. Had a set of F9 one length but sold them to a mate who has gone from 12 to a 9 handicapper since using them. Need I say more

  3. Bought the Forged Tec earlier this year, great irons
Tried recently to get hold of the tec utility but it seems to have disappeared in the post😮

  4. I had a custom set of Wishon Sterling one length irons built when they were first introduced several years ago and really liked them till I hit the 9-SW, as I pulled everything hard left with those clubs.
The fitter tried everything to try and keep me from pulling the ball left. We could never get them to where we fixed the problem , but I think its was because the shafts were to long for the lofts with my swing that I could not make them work.
I love the idea of one length irons but they are not for everyone!

I'll die playing my custom fit PXG 0211 XCOR 2 clubs, I got the 14 club deal for a retirement present for myself and I really like them !!!

  5. I picked up the 2019 version of the cobra forged tech and I love them. got a second hand set 4-PW for $550. Love Cobra

  6. I’ve often thought about cutting down my 4,5,&6 irons to a 7 iron length and leaving the rest alone. Anyone ever try. That ?

  7. Wonder if it would work as a split set Chris? 5 (or 4) down to 7.. with then shorter irons traditional lengths.. possibly wouldnt help if you struggle with posture across the range though..

  8. One length irons would make the strike more consistent with not having to move the ball back and forwards in your stance 👍.

  9. I've never tried the one length Cobra Forged Tecs, but I bought some lightly used 2020 standard length Forged Tec irons after seeing yours and James's positive reviews, and I have no regrets.

  10. Word from a Cobra VP of something or another – the Forged Tec line will not be refreshed in 2024.

  11. Have a cheaper brand of 1 length irons 4-PW and a Cobra 3 hybrid 1 length . Personally I think it has helped my ball striking . As far as the 8-PW same set-up same swing , just don't think of " the iron should be shorter lenght shaft " , it's an 8 iron it's not going to go as far as the 7 iron , unless I miss hit the 7-4 iron and it only goes 30 yards.

  12. I remember when DeChambeau came on Tour and stated that you’d be seeing a lot more guys playing one-length in the future and all the OEM’s would be offering them … needless to say, that hasn’t happened. That being said, if they work for some people, by all means play them (it’s not how, but how many).👍🏻

  13. I play cobra sz one length they have been so good to me my handicap has gone from 28 to 10. I will keep plying one length I just need to maybe try this style not the game improvements one I currently have.

  14. been using one length for the last year….took some time to get my strike position correct…i won't be changing to variable length clubs….married up with the kirkland ball……it's all tickaty bo……i have even changed my grips to the jumbo max grips😊😊😊😊😊😊
