Pro Secrets Unlocked: Pitching Distance control Mastery with Launch Monitors

For seasoned golfers, dialing in wedge distance and pinpoint accuracy often feels like chasing butterflies. But what if you could crack the code, like Jon Rahm and Tiger Woods? Enter the launch monitor, the secret weapon transforming practice sessions and unlocking elite pitching.

Why It Matters:
Ditch the guesswork and feel-based struggles. Launch monitors provide real-time feedback on every swing facet, from clubhead speed and launch angle to spin rate and ball flight.

This data goldmine lets you:
* Diagnose flaws: Uncover inconsistencies causing distance gaps or directional wobbles.
* Track progress: Quantify improvements, seeing how swing tweaks translate into performance gains.
* Optimize wedges: Discover lofts and shafts perfectly suited to your swing and desired trajectories.
Master distance control with the “Distance Clockface Challenge”:
1. Imagine a clock face on the ground, each hour representing a specific yardage in your pitching range (e.g., 100 yards at 10 o’clock, 60 yards at 9 o’clock).
2. Use launch monitor data to aim at hitting balls landing at specific “hours” on the clock face.
3. Progressively refine your distance control, becoming a pitching maestro!
Launch Monitor Success Tips:

* One variable at a time: Don’t get overwhelmed! Focus on specific aspects like launch angle or spin rate to improve.
* Purposeful practice: Set realistic goals and track your progress. Celebrate small wins and enjoy the learning process.
Remember: Launch monitors are powerful tools, but Consistent practice, dedication, and a willingness to learn are still key to unlocking your pitching potential.
Bonus Tip: The Full swing kit does this for us. Combine video recording with launch monitor data. This lets you visually analyze your swing mechanics. So, channel your inner pro, grab your launch monitor, and take your pitching game to the next level!

Something that is overlooked by way too many golfers is the ability to have distance control especially when it comes to shots from within 100 yards so I’m going to show you that using the full swing kit it’s really easy to set up it just takes a few clicks we can

Select The Sand Wedge and love wedge because we’re going to go for 60 yards as our Target yardage bit left 58 so all I’m trying to work on is more about Tempo but being aware of where I am sort of swinging within a clock face from 9:00 to

3:00 see what’s it giving me is feedback on the effectiveness of my strike and I can start measuring the spin rate and the strike but doing that enables me to get consistency and confidence out on the course and the full swing kit does a great job at doing it

  1. Ive tried to practice these shots many times but the lack of a consistent strike makes it very difficult.

  2. I was working on this at Top Golf this morning. The yellow target was about 45 yards front, 65 yards back. Kept swinging for the target. I was pleased.
