Never watched a single Swedish Football match but seems like Hellberg is pretty highly regarded. And let’s be fair, most of us weren’t excited about Neil or Mowbray either. What I’ve read about him though this screams like what Speakman is looking for.
Don't know why people can't accept that the people pulling the purse strings call the tune…all we can do is hope that it turns out well….doesn't really matter where the new coach comes from as long as we keep on getting better, stronger and eventually get to the level we all want to be

A lot of people in work are telling me that Arsenal were really flat when the club brought in Wenger and he turned out alright! But, Wenger had a proven CV behind him. SAFC is a bit of a poison chalice. Its a big club with big expectations and not the kind of place for someone with just the potential to be great to end up being appointed to.
Every good to great manager started from obscurity…Most were not top footballers with playing reputations…So like every good run business Im sure recruitment have done their due diligence and for someone with the right skills and attributes to take on the job…And a bit of the Ole Lady Luck to get the snowball rolling.
Alex Ferguson was an unknown when he took over Man u and in todays "manager climate" would have been sacked before his first season had finished. I must say I'm surprised that the board didn't have someone lined up considering how quickly they pushed TM out the door.
Will depend on if hes a Yes man if not they wont sign him. And the news i heard was he was in England. And yes i've heard of him i've followed Swedish football for years as my other half is Swedish. Sweden has a decent fan base for teams like AIK which our very own Seb Larsson played for after leaving hull..
I’ve gotta agree with u Gilesy I think Schumacher would be a better option then this Swedish guy. At the end of the day tho we’ve gotta back whoever comes thru the door🔴⚪️
We’ve just sacked a manger who have brought us some of the best attacking football in to our club in ages to bring in a young manager with 0 experience with a big league. He’ll be sacked before march if he doesn’t show knowing the board.
Whoever it is this crazy board better get it right because we are just becoming a complete joke regarding managers it's a worry because of the age of kld no experience at all of running a sizable club like Sunderland…….seen this many times now just about fed up of it all last drinks at the bar for this ownership.
For me young managers are a gamble. But potentially have a higher work ethic to do well as they have something to prove, and want it more than a manager who has been there and done it.
no experience might as well as gone and got Kevin Philips there is no team in Sweden as good as South Shields. Why trust the management they cant even get a Centre forward out of four attempts. The main downside is if he is useless KLD wont sack him we will be stuck with him.
People talking about the football under Mowbray which was good but forgetting it was Speakman who negotiated these players coming here. So Without Speakman and others there wouldn't have been the great football under Mowbray. So you've gotta give credit where it's due.

Nobody wanted Mowbray at the first but look how that season turned out. Best football in years & made playoffs to the prem in the first season
