Did we all witness the Ryder Cup moment of US golfer Justin Thomas when he ‘kicks his own ball’ as Team USA faces accusations of ‘playing dirty’?

Justin Thomas was partnered up with his good friend Jordan Spieth during the 2v2 Ryder Cup match. The American pair first tried to get relief for an embedded ball that was absolutely buried in the rough on the left of the 6th hole at Marco Simone. The officials in charge chose to ignore their request, so Thomas had to take the shot. He tried to hit it out of the grass with his club but topped the ball, sending it sideways. As it came out, and he struggled to regain his balance, Thomas’s foot made contact with the ball and knocked it a bit further away. He reacted immediately when it happened by saying, “It hit me too”, implying that he did not intentionally hit the ball.
