It’s about time we got ourselves across the bay to the Mornington Peninsula, and what an amazing place to start our journey, the Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
From the moment you arrive you know you’re in for something special, stepping out to the outdoor dining area you’re greeted with the stunning view of the 18th and 9th greens surrounded by bunkers and water.
It’s no wonder people choose to get married here, with a gazebo sitting in the middle and island behind the 18th green and a small bridge across to it.
But don’t be mistaken in thinking this course is all about looks, it can be a damn difficult day out there if you’re not straight off the tee, many times, especially in the front nine, you’ll have to take a risk with a blind driver or lay up with a hybrid to keep the ball in play.
If you’re playing off the back tees then this can be a brutally difficult course, but if you go off the white tees then its a great mixture of challenge and reward.
There are numerous tees where the big hitters can reach the green for two, but with great bunker placements you can find yourself struggling to make par after a great drive.
And what about those par 3’s, some of the most beaufitul par 3’s going around, each looks amazing to the eye, but can be brutally difficult, local knowledge comes in handy if you’re trying to fly at the flag.
Conculsion:
What a fantastic day we had at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, the people are friendly, the bar and restuarant is fantastic and the course is simply awesome, one of the best we’ve played, give it a go.

Cheers for having us on the front 9 lads. Thoroughly enjoyable.
If there’s a course near you worth playing give these guys a shout.
Keep up the good work!
What ball were you using Trevor? Seemed to be stopping nicely for you from all angles of attack.
Great looking track boys and well played.
Nice video guys! What about the ferry over, easier than driving the full lap around?
Make sure you check out Flinders GC also down the Mornington way, an absolute hidden gem!
Also maybe you could try do matchplay between you guys instead of stroke play, I think it becomes more interesting for the viewer and there's less worry if you lose a ball on a hole, etc.
