    Seizures are a bane. I had 4 in a row 2 weeks ago. Fell into the wall and got a concussion. Spent 3 days in the hospital. I feel for him.

    This is what they should have done with Johnson. Keep him there don’t have him stand up put pressure on the wound to stop bleeding and brought help to him not make him freaking skate back

    I was at that game. The entire arena was so concerned and quiet. You could have heard a pin drop. As Islander fans, we couldn't care less if he was on the opposing team. We were all scared for Erik, and were hoping he would be okay. Seeing a player leave on a stretcher is upsetting. I hope he makes a full recovery.

    Football has a rule against targeting. Hockey should have a similar rule? A hockey stick can also be a weapon. Here in Columbus Ohio our Blue Jackets changed hockey forever when a young lady was killed by a flying hockey puck. Nets were put up to protect the fans.

    Clutterbuck… One of the dirtiest players in the game. The NHL should make the player who made the hit sit out the same amount of time as the injured player. That would send a message.

    Frankly these hits need to be removed from the game. Players have all this gear on and they feel they can just hit people as hard as they can. They are wearing knives on their feet that we have seen kill other players.

    Clean hit not even too hard guy just looked like he fell really hard on that shoulder neck area glad to hear he is doing ok. It's always scary! When sime just gets hit wrong or falls wrong especially in a sport as fast and hard as hockey.

    I don't watch any hockey nor follow it. Since the player isn't in possession of puck, why would this be allowed? Is checking allowed against any player or just an offensive player or how does this work? Not any judgment here, just curious. Tried googling but rules are confusing.

    It wasn't a dirty hit. Just a hard check where his legs got pinned in an unfortunate way for an extra hard head-first impact. It's a brutal sport. Hope he fully recovers.
