  1. Literally was just thinking about this dude the other day. I always saw him as a Bo Bichete ver2 so I wasn’t surprised when Toronto dealt him. Crazy how this game goes. He was super hyped coming out of Vandy

  2. Twins looking like they could be a good playoff team in the years to come, sort of like the Phillies right now.

  3. He may eventually be a MLB “Bust” Player but He Still Got that $7M Draft Signing Bonus Money.

  4. Amazing content ss always. I know his extra-base power is really what is holding him back. But would he be considered a player that might get moved up if he just made contact at a higher clip and got more singles? Or is he a player that has to project as a EXB hitter? We've seen guys make the majors being strictly contact single hitter guys in the past

  5. Twins are so awful at trades. We got him and SWR who looks ok but probably won't be anything crazy for Berrios who's probably gonna end up being a huge part of the Jays for the next few years. Meanwhile when we decide to buy it's even worse. We got Mahle from Cincinnati who's pitched maybe 3 games for us for Steer who's become one of the Reds most exciting young hitter, and Encarnacion-Strand who's become one of their best prospects

  6. shows how tuff this sport is. can go from being one of the best players in hs or college to just becoming an average guy on a roster.

  7. I believe he is going to make an impact sometime in 2024 for the Twins. Depending on what the Twins do this offseason and if he has a good spring training I could see him making the opening day roster. If you want a interesting story the Twins tried to change his swing to give him more power and he struggled. So at some point he just told the coaches screw it and he went back to his old swing. And what is promising is in the second half this year he seemed to gain some power. Also I posted this before watching the video so I guess my comment was mostly “pointless”. 😅

  8. He’s be unlucky with injuries and losing time with Covid and other factors. He was on his way to being a bust but he turned it around and played very well in the half second of the season. He’s hit very well recently, plays good defense, can play multiple positions and is going to be called up next year and hopefully contribute. He will be a welcome addition to our team next year too because we have too many lefties at times.

  9. His St. Paul stats should be discounted because it is a wildly offensive park based on park factor. Also, Martin's profile is his biggest problem. Isn't good enough defensively to play up the middle. Doesn't have enough pop to play the corners. So what is he? Could he replace Kyle Farmer or Willi Castro as a ute? Maybe. But why bother? If they can bring Castro back, they will (Farmer has probably priced himself out of a return), and that leaves no room for Martin. At this point he seems to have the upside of a guy who shuttles between AAA and MLB until his status makes that untenable or too expensive.
