  1. Love your videos because you are the only honest golf player on you tube. Your worst golf score is better than 95 percent of all golfers. I have a goal of breaking 80 next year and you videos are helping me strategize and mentally prepare to conquer my goals

  2. What a fantastic video showing the difference. People have a lot of misconceptions around what an 8 Hcp golfer looks like. They just don't make double bogeys too often and settle with a bogey. Lower hcp players make more pars. A bit more consistent. Excellent work.

  3. I honestly think the key to playing scratch is long straight drives. I’ve practised hard at that and my handicap is dropping fast. I’m now a very long hitter with the driver and most par 4’s I’m left with a short iron which means I hit a lot of greens in regulation. I still carry a 2 iron for days when driver ain’t working though.

  4. The Kings and the Centenary are both monsters. I've seen you swing with far more consistency Matt – a tough day after a shitty night (was it Westerwood in Cumbernauld by any chance?), and you need to be on very top form to tackle those 36 holes.

I still reckon my guess of 3.2 is on the cards. You're gonna get the swing, and those rounds will just go in the bin courtesy of WHS.

  5. Boom Boom, what's the outerwear on you? I need something for the winter golf trip where it always rains. We never play in the rain in the Southwest.

  6. I'm sorry but hearing you laugh when u shanked it out of the bunker @ 9:13 had me laughing, if we cannot laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at??? i think you need to do a U.S tour… and play in each state… first stop Montana, we have some fun courses

  7. Matty,
You seem to have abandoned all your own rules.
When you follow your own rules, you make the game easy.
Play your game, it's the recipe for success.

  8. I walked that course, following Tommy Bjorn and Stephen Gallagher during the Johnny Walker, and I was knackered afterwards. Playing 36 in a day around there, you have my respect.

  9. two rounds at gleneagles is a tough day, next mat skip the kings course and play at the club across the road, auchterarder, better warm up for the nicholson sourse and just an airound better course than the kings.

  10. Any tips on how not to follow up a low to mid 80's score with a 105? Lol regularly.. one day i look like i know what im doing the next day looks like i have never played before lol.

  11. This man shaves more holes than a maternity ward.😂 Woke the wife I laughed so hard. Definitely stealing that line.

  12. Great video. Honest, brutal and funny. I played two rounds in a day this summer for charity. First round i played like God, one of my best rounds ever. Second round, same course and i went from God to Dog. It takes it out of you……

  13. Your shot by shot commentary was hysterical 😂. You, like myself, need to leave that Driver in the bag !

  14. You know what Matt, this is your best video yet IMHO. Your providing footage, existensial commentary and true authentic realness. I like this a lot

  15. It is interesting seeing how your distances change and your struggles in Scotland. We have these difficulties most of the year. Helps with my perspective as well because I'll finish a shocker of a round in the rain and cold, then go home wondering where I went wrong while watching YouTubers in sunny climates hitting the ball insane distances.

  16. I’m born and raised in Scotland, if u can play golf here you can play golf anywhere. Conditions are rarely non challenging
