I think these are the best golf clubs for beginners. And in late 2023 they’ve been improved even further.

I bought a set of Stix when I came back to golf after a 25 year break. I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with the quality and performance when compared to much more expensive game improvement sets. They were easy to hit and had a nice quality. The customer service is great, and the company clearly listens to customer feedback when you consider the improvements that you noted.
I think if they’re going to cater toward the beginner/high-handicap market primarily, they should add a longer alignment aid on the putter, maybe even a triple track. Other than that, I thought the putter was phenomenal quality with a nice weight and feel. Truth be told, I probably putt better with that putter than I do with my current Ping PLD Anser 2, which is a much pricier putter. But I keep the Ping in the bag because it’s so pretty 😂
Lastly, I’ve since bought a full set of Ping G430s with a Max driver, 5-wood, and a 4 & 5 hybrid, the PLD putter, and Vokey SM9 wedges. This set cost over three times as much as the Stix set I bought. However, it’s definitely not three times better, not even two times better. If you’re looking to get into golf or simply upgrade the old set you’ve been using, Stix is a great way to go without breaking the bank imo. Again, really good performance, good quality (especially the putter), and the customer service is responsive and helpful.
My son-in-law wants to take-up golf. We were going to find an inexpensive used set. This makes more sense.
Will definitely be looking at these since my wife wants to start learning the game. Ladies options are available and for those of short stature I am assuming?
Would you recommend these over the Costco Callaway Edge set?
My brother-in-law has a set of stix and loves them.
Gabe I would like your advice in my younger days I played to a 12 as I got older lost distance handicap has rose to 17 I own a Costco set a a stix set which irons do you think are more playable or you would recommend thanks for your input.
i have been playing these for about 3 months and the only thing i change was the driver to the tsr3 driver and thats it . i felt like the stix driver was always coming up short but other than that its been great
999 dollars is quite the investment on a beginner set without a bag.
"Reviewed back in 2023"? I believe it's still 2023. Or is this the future Gabe? 😊
I agree with another comment, $1,000 for the set of clubs and another $200 for the bag is hardly a beginner set. Most beginners aren't looking to spend much not knowing if they will get into golf or not. Secondly, I would be looking for a used set of TaylorMade M2 irons and woods that would probably be less expensive and provide superior performance. That line was magical!
Best to find used clubs for beginners. You can find a full set including a bag for less than $500.
Great clubs however for a beginner a half set should do
Well, since a loaf of bread now costs $6.00, a grand for a set of clubs is reasonable. Excuse me while I put my fist through the wall…
Are the irons forged or casted?
Such a good as always honest review. It's great to see manufacturers listen to reviewer and customers. My question Sir may be a toughy. Which would you recommend more…the Callaway Edge Set or these Stix. I would also love to see a review the Robin Golf Set.
Nice review Gabe. The clubs look very good, definitely improved. Maybe a bit pricey for beginners but to get Anything this complete, and decent is never going to be fetched for $599!
I love the black as well! Used clubs are probably a better bet! Thanks Gabe
Callaway edge at set Costco and their wedges … find a bag at play it again sports
