I really think you guys are underselling this Wings team. I’m not saying they’re winning the Atlantic but I think they’re closer to the Wild Card than you guys think. This rebuild didn’t start until Yzerman was hired with how badly Holland managed his last 5 years. This is a process. The last 2 years have been nice with the progress. We have a decent base with Larkin, Seider, and Raymond. I expect them to take another step. Rasmussen and Walman are a little underrated. Perron and Copp were solid pickups. We were in the final playoff spot after Game 57 last year while still missing a lot of pieces. We needed more goals. Brought in DeBrincat, Gostisbehere, Sprong and Compher. Needed more physicality. Brought in Kostin and Holl. Petry may bounce back playing in his hometown. This is the most depth the org. has had since around 2014. No first or second year players on opening day roster. Edvinsson, Kasper, Berggren, Soderblom, Cossa and Mazur can get top minutes in the A. Nate Danielson looked NHL ready in preseason. Goaltending is the biggest question mark. If Husso, Reimer, or Lyon can get hot it would be huge. This team won’t dominate but they’re a lot better than Grinnell’s lazy take of “they stink”. Should be another fun year, playoffs or not

PC was an animal with the icehogs. I remember him fighting Jordan Binnington and also remember his last year with us he didn’t get his first goal of the year until the last game of the season and it was with like 4 minutes to go in the third I think.
