13:30 no fans were talking about track limits all the time in the past when fia keep changing it between tracks and asking for the fia to change it to a simpler track limit between the white lines. And now they got what they wished and they moan😂
Hamster just wasted their P2 and P3 grid and eventualy podium finish. Happy for McLaren though.
Nearly Rosberg v Hamilton all over again.
Not sure Carlos is going to feel too bummed he missed this one..
i used a calculator 🤣😂
13:00 Is that a serious question?
ever heard of sensors ? 🤦
Who TF thinks a multi billion dollar organisation has hundreds of people watching screens and keeping a checklist 😀 wtf
AWS should come up with a track limits program that uses AI and cameras to read track limits. Make them useful
I don't think we can come back to Qatar this time of year again. The FIA and Pirelli both realize the toll it took on drivers and tires.
No "I'll Fuckin' Do It Again" meme for Perez?
Distasteful joke to make for drivers suffering. How insensitive can you be tho
Matt didn't mention Vettel with the greats, I saw that a lot within some influencers, is there something I don't know?
yeah, it was though race on drivers, really due to FIA's idiotic planning, but for me both sprint and race, were great, lots of fighting for position, if you really ignore Max being P1 whole race, then rest of the field was really tense.
The thing that everyone been saying is that Red Bull car is better suited for Max rn, it's not that they built car around Max, but simply the data showed them that developing their car in certain direction makes it faster and that made a car that Checo can't adapt well to, as opposed to Max.
Whyyyyy can't we just be shown who has done how many pits more often on the sidebar??? Such a simple thing which would get rid of the mid-race brain calculations.
Self policing track limits does not work.
The best part of a f1 weekend
Track limits needs to be a yes/no electric sensor type thing, a la pit road speeding. None of this reviewing, none of this off by 0.15mm costing 5 sec. Put a wire loop at 1.1m away from the track limit line, that way if it trips that sensor, a driver alert on the dash, and a ping on the pit wall and race direction/stewards offices. other racing series use this technology, and have for a hot minute. why is the "pinnacle" of motorsport still reviewing this manually, but they can detect a jump start by 0.5mm and pit road speeding by 0.1kph… kind of almost like it's their way of manipulating a race result without causing controversy.
The FIA and F1 are not doing themselves any favors this way, to be fair. it's embarrassing.
I cannot believe redbull havnt got rid of Perez yet
Is your issue with track limits? Or with all the conversation around track limits? Because those are not the same thing… if you’re sick of the conversation, just stop talking about it.
Track limits should absolutely be enforced to millimeter precision. But doing so shouldn’t be noteworthy.
I don't see Perez keeping his seat next year. I know this race was tough. But you had George with a damaged car start behind Perez once racing got underway and pass up to P4 while Perez barely made points. IMO, the only question is which driver will replace him; Yuki's a hothead that's fast, but would want to fight Verstappen. Ricciardo would be fine with the second seat…but his pace is kinda unknown.
Liam…would get my bet. He's adjusted well to F1; has his team's best result of the year, and hasn't made any big mistakes…which is something that can't be said about most of the drivers. You don't want a second hothead or an imminent downfall; you want someone who can finish races reasonably close to what the car can do, while keeping the paint spotless.
Lewis should have gone a bit wider…
i did NOT expect a TMKOC meme on P1 LMFAO!!!!
Why don’t they just put some concrete blocks after the track limit corners.
I understand it’s “confusing” for the teams but either make the corners self policing or such that only count for corners where cutting or going wide saves time. I despise the millimeter too wide violations
Don't forget that the car suits Verstrappen better .. I'm sure that is at least 20% of Checo's troubles !!
Honestly, I'm not sure what Russell was attempting with that move, since he was on mediums and directly behind Verstappen, it's unlikely that he could've passed him from his position. It was likely yet another move by Russell to prove he was better than Hamilton
I think Perez is getting to much "hate" towards his penalties. He was starting from the pits and his seat is not that secure at the moment. I think je just pushed and pushed to get further to the front. Lets not forget that Verstappen didn't had a comfortable lead, like usual, so he could drive more secure in the corners.
Tracklimits are a big problem. At Sky Germany, they gave some insight to it. At Qatar, Gravel was not an option due to the other races, not wanting gravel. Helmut Marko said that they are testing other systems at the RedBull Ring. With the Kerbs, Hermann Tilke and Pirelli gave an insight, that it was the fault from the FIA. They didn't spoke with Pirelli and Tilke offered some designs and the FIA choose the one, that got installed on the Track.
Also there is a system that got tested but that has a delay of 1 to 2 seconds and that is too much of an delay. The drivers can't really see the lines anymore and they lack feedback if they are within the lines. It would be better when the drivers have a system and get a direct feedback, when they are over. This way in practice, they can get a feel where the limits are. Obviously the drivers push to the limits, to get the best times. Even when they only gain 0.01secs per corner. With 16 corners, this are 0.16secs. This is a lot..
Also with Hülkenberg its quite sad. The Sky Germany reporter did talked with Nico before the race and she reminded him to leave the gap. Even before the race, his engineer reminded him, but he forgot it in the heat. Ralf Schumacher said during the race that he could reverse on the grid, when the lights are still off. For the other commentator this was new and I'm not 100% sure if this are still the current rules. Ralf also did said that you might not think of it, because it sounds very illegal. Also you don't have much time for this and ask if you can do this.
11:47 MULTIVIEWER. Idk how any more-than-causal fan doesn't use it, literally the data table for the grid with minisectors, tires, everything is so helpful
Is NOBODY going to talk about McLaren's fireball 1.8 pitstop?! The commentators were talking about pitstop times for like a full minute before that and didn't mention that one at all. We were even on board the car when it happened! Shout out to all of McLaren this week. Crushing it.
Lol was this jarule? 😅
The tweets blaming George are gold lol
You forgot to mention Seb in the past greats 😅😢😢
Maybe this will help you in “keeping your RB seat” had me rolling lmao
