Beware of a Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy scam in Facebook and Instagram ads that claims Golf Digest said the golfers were giving away 1,000 or 5,000 sets of TaylorMade golf clubs of the RBZ Speed Light (SpeedLite) club variety. This scam features a video of Tiger Woods with AI audio of him saying things he never said. It doesn’t really sound too much like him, either. The ad’s text read, “Don’t Putt-Off This Chance to own the best set of golfing clubs EVER!!!” It also said, “Tiger’s Gift To You (CLAIM NOW).” The scam also mentioned glowelectrify com, theelitemonthlyprize com, thegreatestdraw com, Patriot Sweepstakes LLC, “RocketballZ,” The Elite Monthly Prize, and hidden charges for Boom Boom Nutrition App and Premier Health Care App. Terms and conditions also mentioned a mailbox at 18585 Coastal Highway Unit 10 #332, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
In the AI audio video, a fake voice of Tiger Woods says, “Greeting everyone. It’s Tiger Woods here. Are you up for a quick challenge? I’ve got three simple yes or no questions about your golf game. TaylorMade would like to reward you with a brand new, complete RBZ Speed Light Club set. They’re giving away a whopping 5,000 sets to those of you bold enough to participate. It will take you less than 10 seconds. This is the giveaway of the year. And for the first 1,000, I’ll also be including a golf ball hand-signed by me. Just cover the small shipping and handling costs. I’ve personally tested these and they are the Rolls Royce of clubs. Click ‘learn more’ and claim your FREE set of clubs right now.”
Stay far away from this scam. Woods, McIlroy, TaylorMade, and Golf Digest have nothing to do with this. It’s a hidden subscription scam. You didn’t win anything.
