No I don’t think the average person would have got these players, the fans loved van Persie after he won the club the title most would have kept him. Most fans would have bought a centre back but a young up coming one in the mould of van djike, United also needed a new defensive mid for years, you could have easily found a kante, felliani was the crapest signing ever. Unitee needed a rebuild after fergy not just trying to poach all the words elite players and hope for the best. The transfer strategy was all wrong , there’s still problems but it’s better than it was . If he gets Onana and a decent striker it’s an adequate window to keep you in the top 4

In no world would I have chosen Maguire and Lukaku for those fees. Di Maria is a great player, but he had issues adapting to Manchester. Falcao was a fine signing, just unfortunately unsuited to the league and injury prone. Not a big deal given he was signed for free.
Just because a player is good in one team doesn’t mean the player will be suited to yours I don’t get what’s so hard to understand about that.

Coming from a Chelsea fan for almost 2 decades, Money Mase is a great player and you will see that he is up there with the very best, just give him 1 month to regain form from a bad season at Chelsea and he will shine. I feel like it makes sense to move him out but I’d pick him over half the Prem midfielders easily. Even if he plays 20 minutes every week watch him get at least 10 goals this season.
