This drill is designed to allow a hitter to feel their balance of weight transfer forward through the load and stride sequence. It’s important to sit into the rear hip prior to coming forward to continue to feel the correct load.
Standing upright, take a small step back with your rear leg. ‘Sit’ or Load into your rear hip (rear end) and stride forward to Launch. You can swing and hit a ball off of the tee if you want, or just practice your balanced Load, Stride, Launch sequence. The movement back and forward should be controlled and at the same tempo.
Landing athletic and balanced is key!
