This is a 50 Foot Putt out of a Cross Footed Mode. When you’re learning to putt, the number one thing is distance control. The most important thing is being able to have confidence in the move that you’re putting through your putt that allows you to have that sensitivity to the distance and the direction that it’s going. Even though there is a lot of motion here, it is actually easier to feel the correct power source when it is exagerated, then you can learn to tone it down for the shorter putter. It’s a little bit counterintuitive. You would think that in your longer shots, your drives and your fairway shots, that it would be the most aggressive shots where here it’s actually this is where you truly have to be the most confident and most aggressive because you have a shorter swing and you have to be able to get the tension out of your arms sooner and get your mass going in the directionthat you want it to go. So that being said, it’s very, very important. Just like with everything else, but especially here, that you’re able to feel where the right ball position is and feel the speed at which your mass is moving through your shots, so that the bottom of your arc times out where you can catch the ball in the upswing where the ball with hug the ground, rather than bouncing.
