A woman accused of killing a bride when she crashed into a newlywed couple’s golf cart while allegedly driving under the influence was ordered to remain in custody while she awaits trial by a South Carolina judge. WCBD’s Jordan Cioppa reports.

    She needs to stay in prison! Folly Beach, SC is a very small, suburban beach town. Streets are 2 lanes and narrow. Very near and dear to my heart. This young girl needs to be reminded daily of why she is in prison. Kudos to the judge for denying her bond.

    The things happening in this world are just so unbelievably crazy right now. Just like that shes gone smh. This case needs to go to trial or be plead out because its just too much too soon to keep having this family go through this, they need to deal with their loss. It seems open and shut so why not smh.     Clean record or not , she has to pay for what she did, that poor family, Its sad they have to deal with this horrible memory, all her mother is worried about getting her released, she has to deal with the fact that her daughter carelessly took someones life.

    Manslaughter charges are coming. No release. I was pulled over at .20 . This was my 2nd DUI. Nobody was hurt fortunately. The judge gave me 45 days in county jail, 18 months in a ohs program, 35 days community service and driver's license suspended for 1 year. It was on my record for 10 years and insurance rates went up. I lost my job, my car, and any respect I had from my family. Fines mounted up to around 12k at the time. That's when I decided I'm done with this. Been sober for 13 years.

    Yes, by all means, keep the nonviolent in prison so Americans can get their turn throwing stones. Make the taxpayers pay more for the culture wars so they get to throw their stones. That's how you wreck a nation. Throw them all in jail! Mwahahahaaa

    I don't use alcohol because it makes me violently ill, but this was a car accident, not a murder. The non-violent don't belong behind bars unless they're an imminent threat to others. She was not. Give her an ankle bracelet and let the taxpayers save some money so she's not totally dependent on them. Control freaks never get tired of throwing stones. They love to pretend nobody has a conscience but them.

    So the bride and groom were on a "low speed" golf cart on a road with 4000lb vehicles moving at much higher speeds? Is that correct? Did they put themselves in danger? Quite certain the person driving drunk did not intend to do anyone harm. Drinking and driving is a cultural problem in the US because we have to drive everywhere, our society is designed around the automobile. Intoxication leads to poor decisions, decisions that would be different if one were sober. The family of the bride should practice a bit of "forgiveness".

    Now she murdered a man's wife, That (oh poor me) should go straight to jail for the amount of time that woman who was slaughtered by her, had left to live a normal lifespan, 40 years no parole. DO NOT PASS GO (no bail) DO NOT COLLECT YOUR COFFEE LATTE!
