  1. One year plus a healthy monetary penalty depending on tour, in other words make it so players won’t cheat🤔👍

  2. I think a reasonable suspension, but not a full year. But more importantly, I'd require him to take a complete Golf Rules course, be a scorer at one of the tournaments he's be playing in, and then speak to kids at one or more junior golf tournaments about what he did wrong.

  3. I am all for second chances but he got busted. He did not come forward on his own because he felt bad. I say he loses his card and has to start over. He has to qualify for the tour again.

  4. Funny (not really) how you mentioned cheating at the junior levels. I played on my high school team and while i wasn't the best, I was a solid mid-handicapper and it would always be the better players that instead of encouraging or helping the others they would be the ones walking on lines, hitting our balls into the woods and just being bullies essentially. They didn't need to take strokes but they made sure the rest of us were always playing catch up. Sad to say I was burnt out with the BS after HS and didn't want anything to do with golf for quite some time. It's been 30 something years now (life happens, career, marriage, kids) and I'm finally getting back to the game I once loved.

  5. Tell not to worry many PGA players and European tour players cheat!
Patrick Reed being a player who thinks the public are stupid and he got away with it!
In reality he's a cheat and should be banned

  6. Had the same thing happen tor in a local tournament…. guy made a bogie on the last hole and changed it to a pat to make the cut….until I called him out…

  7. Confesses when he is caught and quotes a Bible verse. Sounds like he is setting himself to be an evangelist. Move over Jimmy Swaggart.

  8. Its not right at all but I feel for the guy..not making the cut in the past 5 tournaments and not getting a dime..he must have been under a lot of stress to get paid for he and his family (& caddie)…I'd say a 8month suspension is in order..hope he gets it back together, props for man'ing up w the confession

  9. I don't condone what the young man did. At the same time cheating, white lies, withholding truth… they all the same. We are all guilty at some level of something in our lives, if you're not then you are sinless, which put's you in rarified air like "Jesus Christ". How many of us have USGA handicaps (millions) and don't putt our 3", 6", 8" maybe 12" putts. ALL those putts are picked up but how many would be missed? Statistically I don't know but certainly tons! USGA scores posted, and not accurate (cheating), and therefore lots of "cheating" going on courses all over the world. I don't know what action should be taken with this young man, it's not mine to make, it's a sanctioned event, there are rules, I imagine the governing body will make the right one. But it's not mine to judge, that's the problem in America we all want to judge someone, why it makes us feel better in someway and that's sad, we are just PEOPLE trying to do our best in a messed up world. Let's not jump to crucify this kid. Until we know all the facts, then and only then should a just and fair punishment be administered. Forgiveness is a great place to start, repent is good. Let he who's without sin cast the first stone. Yes a bible verse but a good one. I'll leave it at that, I wish everyone here great health and low scores. Peace.

  10. I think the tour card should be revoked indefinitely. Not only did he steal from the 13 players, someone else whose deserving of playing pro golf could and should replace him.

  11. Cheating in this case should honestly be treated as fraud.
He legitimately intended to lie for financial gains.
That is legit financial fraud, but it happens to be at a golf tournament.
Fraud is fraud. Right to jail 👉

  12. 6:44 – "The dad wanted to fight and you know me, I'll go". Maybe I'm alone here, but I for one did not know MSG was a brawler.

  13. I get it being under pressure and all but the bottom line is he knew what he did and tried to get away with it and he got caught. It sounds harsh but if somebody gets caught cheating they should be on a 6month probation.

  14. Played plenty of guys in high school who always played with an extra ball in their pocket…smoke one deep into the woods then “find” the ball and “it must have hit and kicked out” no shot 😂😂😂😂

  15. Oh…Well….He quoted a bible verse so it's ok I guess. LOL…The biggest pieces of shit always quote the bible and have a bible verse in their bios thinking it somehow absolves them of being pieces of shit. Bible bros

  16. Thought I heard on a sports network he’s looking at a two year suspension??? Doesn’t much matter, in golf this is moment of popular opinion that no matter how far he goes in pro golf he’ll never live this down. It’s just the way golf is, and it’s one of the big factors we have as we cherish this great game. If anyone thinks integrity isn’t as important as eagles and birdies they need to play another sport. And by the way what a chump turning to scriptures to buffer his dumb A#@!

  17. Im so bad at golf that if I took 2 strokes off my card a handful of times per round I still wouldn’t come close to making the cut

  18. I played in a professional mini tour stop and played with one of the girls and had to keep her score. Her dad was caddying for her. They wrote down the wrong score on every hole and so we had to argue on every hole. She magically found her ball every time she went into the woods and had a swing on it. On the 9th hole I watched her pick up her ball and move it out of a bunker. I went to the officials and her dad tried to intimidate me and get in my face, tell me I’m the reason we’re 3 holes behind the group in front of us even though I was waiting on every tee box for her to finish her putts on the last hole, and the officials did absolutely nothing

  19. When we finish a round in UK , we double check all scores with the person who marks your card so all holes match. Then no issues >

  20. you want him to have to pay those players off that could have missed the cut? they didn’t though because he was caught, thats just cruel to make him have to pay them off. suspend him for a year imo, no need to add insult to injury when he was already caught and those players ended up making the cut.
