That was the finest 4 rounds of links golf that I can remember. I’ve never seen a more controlled display, compared to a very strong field.
Brian didn't even have to show up for day 4. ALL the other pros beat themselves. No one even close to catching him.
Surgical…. beautiful rounds…for golfers…this 4 day performance was fun to watch. For casual watchers, not so much. Incredible performance under pressure and under the subtle digs of some of the patrons. Classless.
Putting and great short game are the great equalizer. The game at the highest level is more than driving 320+ yards. Its extremely disparaging to say that Brain Harmon or Tom Kim can only win on short courses. The Longests hitters only have an advantage if they hit the fairway. Brian Harman is ranked 98 in driving distance, which is equal to Hideki and only a yard behind Collin Morikawa. As for Tom Kim he's ranked 80, which is ahead of Fleetwood. This game is still about scoring from 150 yards and in and your mental resolve to handle the pressure of the big moments
The British Open is such a weak tournament. Ugly courses, ugly play style and it’s the weakest field. I consider the Players Championship winner more accomplished than an Open winner every year.
If any of these talking pundits watched back the open not knowing anything, and we substituted in Tiger Woods or Rory Mcilroy with some clever CGI and every one of these guys would be stating it was the performance of a century and all the other bs you lot talk and wax lyrical. But cause it's Brian, you have to go out of your way to demean, disrespect, and dishonor him anyway you can. You're all just whiney complainer you're favorite suck didn't win.
