The new merger should really help Rahm – would think he’ll excel in DP, PGA and LIV tours and all pro golfers should be playing all tours in appropriate ways withou any punishment.
I just dont understand the end and the pga guys wanting Liv players punished. if a form of liv exists after the agreement and Rahm plays in the team competitions, Liv should punish him first for not accepting the initial offer. that makes no sense and neither does the reciprocal. if the PGA becomes the only top tier tour with as a result of the agreement with Liv, why would you punish players that are part of the agreement to play on the only available tour all owned and funded by the same people. the for profit sitting on top of all golf will not be a member organization and fining and penalizing players/independent contractors for making the deal possible isn't good for business.
"Punishment" for choosing a different tour? No. The problem with the PGA is it ran as a coercive monopoly. "Punishment" would just be additional proof. Very few LIV golfers want to return anyhow.
Very interesting discussion. MONEY, YES. MONEY, YES. MONEY YES!!!
Who is happiest right now? The LIV Players. Why? Because they now know that LIV has a future, the premium players ALREADY got more MONEY on CONTRACTS, they play fewer tournaments, AND, they can win more boatloads of MONEY every time they play, AND they are having more fun with everything surrounding the team concept!
Why are the PGAT players so unhappy? Because they didn't take the flyer and join LIV, didn't get the MONEY, got diddled by their leadership, divided the PGAT into haves and have-nots, force top players to work like Trojans, and, still have no contracts and financial security like the LIV players.
BTW, nobody mentions the caddies in all this. Last week Cam Smith's caddie got $400,00 + $35,000 for his work. The caddie for the guy who came in last got $12,000. Do you think these caddies are happier? Cam's caddie sure looked happier up there on the podium with Cam.
If the merger doesn't happen then I think more of the top players will JUMP at the chance to join LIV.
He's so gone to LIV at first opportunity imo. I think he will still play some pga but it won't be anywhere near what he plays now. There wont be any punishment.

Rahm moves to LIV if Monahan is still there

CON ARTISTS always look awesome until it all comes crashing down! BERNIE MADOFF was an awesome guy UNTIL!
Thank you Saudi for showing us anything can be bought. Keep it up.
What punishment did Rahm get for playing on another Tour? These hypocrites need to start thinking for themselves instead of PGA soundbites
I think he did a great job. Despite what he previously said, it is not in his best interest (or the Tours or LIV) for him to say anything negative.
You really have to love how well spoken Rahm has been in these uncertain times. Love his takes and his demeanor. Well done.
Hes been doing such a good job the pga is bankrupt. Awesome job
One of the only rational players on the tour!

I was with Jon until he said that there should be some form of punishment for LIV players to come back. Thats ridiculous.
