The first of two simple micro streamers in our July 2023 name-the-fly contest. I have no idea how well this pattern will work if it works at all, but I have a feeling this might fool some reckless trout or panfish.

Hook: #8-12 streamer
Thread: Black
Body: Silver tinsel
Wing: White arctic fox, over black crystal flash, over colored bucktail

  1. Really nice simple fly, how about the "Keflavik Rascal", I take it that you are traveling your other obligation, if that is the case enjoy (NASKEF), enjoyed a trip there back in the early 80's, if not, enjoy Iceland.

  2. I like it, I would call it The Foxy Orange Creamsicle. With the arctic fox, and the holographic tinsel that looks like ice, or why not just the Savage Creamsicle

  3. Great fly Matt. I was gonna suggest Cruella De Vil. But @woodland8902 knocked it out of the park with Phillis Diller!😂

  4. Hey Matt !!! I would call it "the Arctic Dreamsicle" Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great trip!

  5. Hi Matt. Another creative fly getting lots of attention. I’ll not try to name it but simply to wish you a fulfilling, fun trip and tight lines. Safe home too. Tom T from NJ.

  8. Hello Matt I love to watch your videos and tie the flies you do, I was wondering if you could try to make a variant of a elk hair cactus and with some rubber legs I thing it would be a great video and would work for different species of brim thank you and keep up the great work 👍

  9. Love the video. Have a great trip. Enjoy the cool temps for us here in Texas. 105+ so far all this week. I’ll call it “The Mystic Vixen”

  10. Greetings from Devon UK love your videos I would call it the white whisky fly after the whisky fly which is a hair wing and is predominantly orange in colour.
    Tight lines, enjoy Iceland

  11. Hmm..lots of good names already. I can't tell you what makes me think of it but this looks like a Platinum Blonde to me.

  12. We had a dog a few years ago that had very similar white fur with black markings. I called my wife over to look at your finished fly. I pointed out the various components in the order that you tied them, but when I got the Arctic Fox she said, "and that's Dexter fur!" And I've tied a few "memorial" flies using Dexter's fur. So, for me, it will always be known as a Dexter Special.
