  1. Danielson was talking about this sort of thing at the Forbidden Door Press Scrum, and honestly, it makes a lot of sense. I suspect this move has his fingerprints on it.

It's not like they are outright banning anything that people shouldn't be doing anyway, and none of it is banned for stupid political reasons like some of the weird stuff WWE has banned in the past. And the approval system sounds great for getting rid of the constant repeats on every show. Honestly I would have added the Toupe Suicida to that list, so we can have a limit on those as well. Basically only let Darby Allin do it, because he's the only one who is good at it anyway.

I'm hoping having more restrictions helps people slow down their styles a little and actually work on the fundamentals rather than just relying on table spots during normal singles matches and making the refs look stupid.

  2. I am not going to miss Ronda Rousey! She has sucked since she came back from her time away for the baby. She has sucked, hair matches have sucked , her attitude has sucked, everything about her has sucked! Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  3. i think it's entirely possible to create a moment or a lasting impression without always doing a 450 splash from a ladder through the announce table or having a wrestlers brains scrambled from a chairshot to the head. these people are talented to think of other, better, original ways than rehashing all the now 'banned' or permission moves. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  4. Guys/gals just straight up wrestled on the last episode of Collision and it was a great episode ! So I say yes . Make the super dangerous moves more sporadic . If you know how to wrestle and have psychology you dont need that extra stuff ALL the time . I do like the wild stuff too , but when done less it means more .

  5. I still think this wont be a big deal . It will be greenlighted if asked by most wrestlers before the match . To me it just cuts down on wrestlers doing the same thing in every match up and down the card . If the main event is gonna do X dont do X three times earlier in the night .

  6. I can definitely say I appreciate AEW doing this I really wish they would have done a lot of this within the first 6 months because sometimes the talent goes a little overboard and it takes away from the match kind of makes you think am I watching a wrestling match or just a random violent brawl

  7. Waiting for all the basement dwellers to cry about the banned moves because they don’t see wrestlers as people.

  8. Hopefully the list reduces dumb unnecessary risky spots like how Dante got hurt for a random tv match

  9. Well, my podcast with the move of the night is out now. 😂 hopefully. How many Canadian destroyers can you have in a show? AEW 1500. 😂

  10. I love the backwards logic that inspires the thought that adding a whole bunch of restrictions will avoid repetition and motivate creativity…

  11. This is TNT copying and pasting USAs terms for WWE in 2005. Way to catch up.

  12. Well what is there show going to be now? It’s a good thing there doing it. Now it will show just how weak there bookers are. I mean look at the big injuries they have had for moves

  13. So basically everything has to be pre approved. WB is definitely getting more involved with AEW you can tell they want this company to be more like WWE to make more money which is obvious especially because WB needs the money wherever they can get it.

  14. Can't help but think this is Warner going Full Warner. First they force them to kill off any product they can't make money off of (Dark and Elevation), then this.
Back in the day, so many musicians were F'ed over by Warner, and it looks like they STILL want to F anyone who's signed to their label/channel over.

  15. i could see Rousey v Tate one last time but cybrog? come on, not even in the same company and she is much bigger

  16. The limit on the crowd stuff really reads as a AEW’s legal team coming in an saying that they need to be careful as the company grows bc all it takes is one bad accident where a wrestler reads an audience member wrong or visa versa for law suits to be had

  17. Blading should be banned in all wrestling anyway. In a world where self harm is a major issue I don't think any form of entertainment should be doing things like this. Don't get me wrong I'm not one of these woke people but self harm is a really serious issue and I've seen people suffer from this it doesn't need to be seen as a form of entertainment.

  18. Sigh
Of course. Big corporation is getting involved, so now they have to PG it up. This is gonna be no different than current WWE.
