I think it's embarrassing that most of these Cubs blogs/pods have been focusing on a weak schedule right now. A team over .500, a Nationals team they lost 2 of 3 from, a Cardinals team that while bad the Cubs still lost 2 of 3 from, a white Sox team that while bad has never mattered in that series.
All from a team that has been under .500 for 2 months. The team is average as fuck

The Bellinger extension would be the best thing for the future of this team. The passed on the big 3 and only paid Hendricks. Watching Cody play for another team would be brutal. Off season you dump Susuki if possible

Sign Cody, maybe stroman. Trade for ohtani with an agreement and pay him whatever he wants. Get a bullpen pitcher. Maybe we could win this year. And should be solid for next , with money still left to spend.
The odds of the Cubs replacing our best / pitcher / hitter is about the same as me hitting the moon with a rubberband
This is simple keep Stroman , Steele , Belli and Hoerner. The rest can be moved for pitching. Morel and Happ are flawed players and Susuki needs to go !!!!
The only reason Happ / Susuki keep batting at the top of the lineup are their contracts , I can't believe that the sheeple can't figure that out
Bellinger was batting 8th opening day , he has been given no respect with lineup consideration. Cubs better hope he leaves because if he stays and PCA comes up. Susuki would be eating sunflower seeds if we lived in a fair world or Happ / Susuki would be a nice platoon lol
You could take Happs 2 best years and combine them and he couldn't touch Cody's best year !!!!
I have seen some great Cub outfielders and Bellinger by far is the best center fielder in my lifetime. But our Cubbies are not known for shortstops , catchers and centerfielders
I hope that horrible contract to Heyward is the lame excuse they use to pass on good players

Cubs had offers for Rizzo Baez and Bryant in FA after trading. Same as what they had offered to extend.
I feel keeping Bellinger, show other great players their serious about winning ,unless your on a total rebuild .Which the Cubs said their not. Otherwise every yr around trade deadline ,Good players will be traded if no chance for playoffs .Good teams don't do that,/Dodgers-Hous, make small moves.
