Hey everyone!

There have been quite a few surprises to start the 2023 season. However, for the 2nd straight year, the Orioles are one of the biggest surprises in the league. At this point, we have to accept that they are a good team and they’re only going to get better.

  1. Been a long time coming. Sure we've had some unexpected runs in years past, but to watch this ball club grow into something special from basically the ground up is something special. Loving it right now

  2. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 this what al those people get for talking trash on us

  3. I always thought they going to do super well this season. Bloody MLB the Show doesn't but.

  4. So you cite one game 12-2 as evidence that they Orioles need to take a risk and forfeit their future. Your content is just the same lame BS as everyone who doesn't watch the Orioles or even bothers to look deeper at the starting pitching does.
You "proved" that the O's need to spend on starting pitching because of our current poor ERA overall for the starting pitching. You deceptively failed to mention that Grayson Rodriguez was awful to the tune of a 7.85 ERA over 11 games. Other than him, our starting pitching is doing just fine. Three starters under 4.00 as of Last monday and one at 4.50, led by the amazing Tyler Wells at 3.29. Did you mention him in your "analysis?" No. Why not? Because you read something someone else did and went with that lie/narrative. Had you bothered to even check, you'd see why our starting pitching is just fine.
And if G Rodriguez comes back up and does good this time, we'll be tough out come October. Oh yeah and we'll be getting Means back at some point as well.

  5. Excellent video as always Man
BTW, you think you could ever do a deep dive on the success the Tampa Bay Rays have had since 2008?
In the last 15 years they've been one of the top 3 teams pound for pound .. All with either the lowest or at best, bottom 4 in payroll.
Simply put, there has never been a franchise in the history of pro sports who has done so well with so little. Honestly, it's beyond belief.
I think of you unpack it it would be one of , if not your highest viewed video.

  6. Should be highlighting HAY's over Mullins. Not that Mullins is not having a good yr because he's having a great yr, until injury. But, Hay's has had a 300 plus avg from the beginning of the season. Hey's is crushing the ball now.

  7. been saying since he came adley has completely change the dynamic of the team, great bat and doing a hell of a job calling pitches

  8. As a Mets fan I’ve been keeping up with them this season and they are so much to watch hope they keep it up

  9. I’ll caveat this with I’m a Baltimore fans so everything I say is from cautiousness having fallen for this in the past and noticing the same trend drilling into their data.

Have another look at their schedule. early series include:
    -Athletics
    – Nats
    – white/Red Sox
    – Detroit
    – royals

literally last place teams with losing records, mostly.

Fun game: name a team they beat in a series that didn’t have a losing record in the first 1/3 of the season? (~40 games bc after that historically teams can start to rack up repeat wins for a glory win rate eg Baltimore has played the two worst teams in baseball in the royals and A’s double digit times already)

It’s tough to find bc it’s so rare but the Rays and Rangers early. The former with a net differential of 0 over 3 games. The latter being their first big series triumph but they’d avenge the series loss after the teams settled in blasting the orioles with a differential of +11. Then the pirates with a differential of a single run. Split with the angels differential of +1. Blue jays worth noting right outside the 1/3 mark despite being bottom of the table due to it being a sweep which is the only the 3rd time.

Let that sink in – they have a 63% win rate & only swept 3 teams and they were bad (+Detroit). Still need to check today if they ended up sweeping Kansas City as that might qualify but I’ll exclude today. Compare that to say Atlanta 61% win rate and have swept double that amount (also excluding today as braves were on pace to sweep the nats but need to go check so excluding to be apples to apples).

Lot lord I could type for now, I’ll happily be proven wrong but I think you’re missing some of the nuance that has them with such a pretty record. Maybe I’m a broken man though overtaken by cynicism haha who knows

  10. Let go orioles i been a orioles fan since the 90s we sufferd a lot happy that we are winners now

  11. There is only one thing that is inaccurate about this video. The only thing that Jorge Lopez did for the Orioles is steal Anthony Santander’s all star spot. He was horrible for us, and trading him is the best thing we have done in maybe ten years, other than drafting Adley. This is proven by the success of Bautista, by far the most underrated closer in the game.

  12. Orioles for years went after free agents that never paid off. Getting your house in order starts in the front office. Getting a plan, sticking to the plan, letting good young talent develop is the way. Been a long time.

  13. I’ve been an O’s fan since I can remember. Watching Jim Palmer pitch at Memorial Stadium, Earl Weaver and his antics, Cal Ripken Jr, Mike Mussina, and so on. But they haven’t been fun to watch lately until last year! I think every Baltimore fan felt stabbed in the heart when they traded Trey Mancini, but we still held onto hope and we finally had a winning season! 3 games back from a playoff spot was good for us. No big trades and acquisitions in the off season, so a lot of fans were concerned. Now it’s go time. These guys have gotten so much better this year and if they can keep this up, we might see the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade.

  14. I've always said about the Royals during their pennant runs: if we ain't losing, we ain't gonna win..

  15. But nobody notices because it's not Ohtani and therefore of zero importance

  16. Let's hope the Angelos brothers pry open their wallets and pay these players when their times come due. The brothers also don't have a lease signed at OPACY and John Angelos already lives in Nashville. With all the money in that city and Baltimore turning into a cesspool, it wouldn't surprise that the Angelos boys aren't eyeing a move to Nashville no matter how nice OPACY is. They are more interested in money than loyalty.

  17. Yea, I'm 100% sure the owner will muck this up. Sadly, until there is new owners my O's will remain a middling or worse team. However, I am enjoying the team's success so far this year and I hope it continues.

  18. This year so many teams that were mediocre or terrible a few year ago are near top in their division. I want to see some underdogs make it to the World Series this year. I kind of want the Orioles vs. Brewers
