Absolutely. Have either of them ever outplayedRuss h2h? If Russ can still be 2020 Russ, he will outplay them both. All three are insanely talented. Don’t sleep on Jimmy G either. This year’s AFCw could be the QB class we expected last season. Even Mahomes didn’t quite meet expectations, MVP notwithstanding. Russ and JHerb certainly disappointed, and the Raiders gave up on Carr.
This year will be interesting.
As for Russ, think 2020. If he still has THAT in him, he will keep up that performance all year under Payton, because Payton doesn’t make the dumb mistakes Pete Carroll makes.
Furthermore, the Broncos can compete with the Chiefs. I believe the Broncos will sweep the Chiefs this year.

People will never say Wilson is better than Mahomes because they worship him like a god and they hate Russ. He can definitely have a better season.
If Russ can reduce the number of negative or unsuccessful plays then the broncos O can be great. Can’t have that many sacks, throwaways, forces into deep coverage. Hopefully Payton gets it going!

But Russ also outplayed Mahomes arguably in both of last year’s games. So where’s the logic?
No, Russ is the winningest first decade QB in NFL history. He’s not second. He was second-winningest over the decade between 2012 and 2021 to Tom Brady.
Russ also had the highest career 4th quarter passer rating in NFL history. His subpar 2022 season dropped him to third behind two newbies: Watson and Mahomes, respectively. But remember that Watson snd Mahomes haven’t thrown nearly as many 4th quarter passes.
Jimmy was playing in a severely weakened conference. The Rams, Cardinals and Seahawks couldn’t stop a nosebleed last year.
I don't know why these guys are down on RW because of one bad season. The weird thing is Zac always spouses out stats, but he needs to look at the overall picture as the last five years or longer trend. Before last year, RW had similar numbers to AR in the past five years. Justine H- is a stat machine but not a winner. JG-seriously? JH vs. RW (career number) completion % 66.9 vs. 64.6, TD percentage 4.8% vs. 5.9%; int percentage 1.8 vs. 1.9, Adjusted Net Yard 6,.66 vs. 6.86; pick 6 4 in 1966 attempts vs. 7 in 5218 attempts, pressure % 22.8 vs. 34.9. Passer rating- 96.2 vs. 100.2. Not including rushing stats, which favors RW.
This show sucks now. Plain and simple. We better not see you celebrating when Russ starts winning again. You better keep the same energy.
