Today on my journey starting from scratch trying to become a scratch golfer, I’m giving you a look behind the scenes where I go to the range and practice golf. I practice my golf swing by working on drills I have learned from my coaches, with this video revolving around just trying to it inside out and trying to hit a draw. Enjoy!

  1. It looks like you've got ya club closed at set, and it's definitely closed after ya takeaway and that's why its going left.
The only way it won't go left is you rotate on the downswing a lot more than what ur doing.
Better off not being so closed early on 😀

  2. Im shocked you havent tried a hybrid yet. They are so forgiving and fun when first starting out

  3. Little tip when rehearsing after a bad shot. Try not to rehearse the movement all willy nilly. You want to get into position as if your about to hit the ball and have intention on the movement your trying to work on. I noticed a few times after you would try to make the correct movement but your feet weren’t set, your spine angle was not set. Gotta have the intention on every rehearsal. To get the body to do what it needs to do. Keep up the great work. On another note, it’s fun to hear the impact from different people on the range. You can tell the difference in the compression

  4. Are you ever actually going to get yourself a handicap? Like the goal is to get to scratch but you don’t even know where you are right now

  5. I admire your perseverance. I’m not one for the range. All my practice is done in competitive tournaments. It’s the only way to deal with the pressure of the situation. Can’t tell you how many times I play well when I know I’m out of contention. My tournaments are just scratch cups and medal competitions.

  6. those mats are too close together. i wouldn't be able to focus with that dude blasting driver that close to my head

  7. I don’t like hitting off mats, my club head would bounce off the mat behind the ball still giving me an ok shot but then on grass those would be fat shots. Grass also gives you feed back from the divot.

  8. On your wedges at the end you were doing that quick hand roll over thing that used to do.
I didn’t see it on full shots

  9. I saw on chris' whiteboard that there was a "stages of development" chart when you first began seeing him

subjectively, where are you on that chart?

  10. I'm not a coach, hell I'm not even a good golfer, but what I notice is that with Chris, you really get your right arm less tense, more relaxed and in more on the side with your grip. That's the direction he's been pushing you the last few videos. But when you use this ball between the arms, your right arm is like fully flexed, and I feel like you're getting mixed messages.
I think when you use the ball between your arms, you need to also ensure you're still keeping that right arm more loose when you do it. Just my observation.

  11. Do you have a job or going to school?

How do you have all the hours & moneyto practice?

  12. The problem with getting good at your drills from Chris is all your shots will start to go left. Then your like… :Err.. I want that to go straight'.. The minute you aim for it on the course it will go straight :p
