The Marylebone Cricket Club has suspended three members after an altercation with the Australian cricket team at Lord’s on the final day of the second Ashes Test.

The club had earlier “unreservedly apologised” over the behaviour of some of its members in the Long Room after the touring side alleged several players were “verbally abused” or “physically contacted” as they returned to the dressing room at lunch.
Shortly before the interval, with England on 193 and chasing a distant 371, the England wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow had been controversially dismissed in a long-range stumping from Alex Carey.
The batter left his ground in the belief that an over had been concluded, having allowed a bouncer to pass through to the Australian wicketkeeper, who then threw the ball at the stumps while Bairstow was out of his ground.
Though there was no doubting Bairstow was out under the laws of the game, there was widespread feeling around Lord’s that it was not in the spirit.
Australia went on to win the Test by 43 runs, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series

it may be out as per rules but that was not fair by Australians u can see that Barstow has not gone for a run or did he attempted for the shot. cheap tactics by Australians
It's out. Ball was still in play as the keeper collected it. Rookie error going walkabout like that.
Its out
Irony dies a million torturous deaths every single time an Englishman talks ethics/ morality
Cricket sucks, how it has that many viewers really suprises me
That's out as out can be. Let the poms whinge. They whinge all the time anyway
Don’t England know the rules of cricket haha
When you can sneak in a cheeky middle finger without fuss, you know people are annoyed over the issue. LOL! 🤣
Glad to hear that the English team is giving the World Cup to New Zealand since their win was so anti cricketing spirit that they should have stopped playing altogether. Wish the English could put their money where their mouths are.
spiced it up a bit though hasn't it? how many mankad attempts do you think England will have in the third test?
ODI World cup 2019. Where is the spirit of game?

Make the rules simple and straightforward so that they are not abused, and a fair contest is not ruined.Get rid of rules that don't make sense. A stumping occurs only when the batsman *does not have control of the crease * at the point of time when the keeper has gathered the ball. If the batsman is out of the crease when the keeper has gathered the ball, and can't even get a toe back in behind the crease before the keeper takes the bails off then the batsman is out. In this case, what an umpire tries to decide is 'who had control of the crease the keeper or the batsman ?'. The batsman is clearly not in control of the crease. But if he has his toe in when the keeper or even a fielder gets the ball, and he has control of the crease, then he is not out. If he is out of the crease because he tries to take a run, then he is out. NOT OTHERWISE in any other circumstance. Players and teams can be expected to bend and break rules. It is impossible to make rules for every situation, but everything that can possibly happen in cricket has happened by now.Captains, keepers and fielders should not be allowed to influence decisions on the field. A crook cannot be a cop.
If the keeper, standing close to the stumps, collects the ball and takes the bails of when the batsman has his foot in the air, it is a fair stumping, The batsman does not have control of the crease. If the batsman misses the ball, and the keeper gathers it, and the batsman goes down the wicket to try to take a run, the keeper can stump him. Maybe that should be a run out.
England are just looking for excuses
As a neutral, why is this even controversial? He never looked back nor put his bat down to make sure the ball is dead.

‘Words are violence ..’
🤦♂️😂
The ball wasn’t dead so he is out simple! You always want to break rules when it suit yourselves ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING 🤮
Ashes losing its popularity, so it's all just a publicity stunt
Cool
Full Support to Stokes and England
Ozzies at it again
Broad, Bairstow, McCullum, that washed up has been commentator Pieterson, what a bunch of hypocritical whinging muppets.
Oh come on!!
We have done something similar in school level matches.
Reminds me of the situation where Indian team called back Ian Bell. But Australian team could 👎 do that
Aus remains once a cheater always a cheater
What you get when two teams with the worst sportsmanship face off against each other 🤣
They seriously shouting cheat!! Lack of focus and school boy error. Aussies were switched on
Typical whinging, whining Poms. Sore losers.
Keep Crying makes no sense
hope nobody was so indiscreet as to mention SAND PAPER GATE 😲
What happened
How quickly they forget that Ali was fined first test for breaking code of conduct, otherwise known as cheating.
Lords is no longer the home of cricket.. it’s the home of obnoxious overweight middle aged privileged white men soaked in whiskey and arrogance.
OUT! That the rules Johnny.
I don't like Cricket (I love it) … Dreadlock Holiday
🏏
Just saw a video of Bairstow stumping Sumit Patel. Patel lets the ball through, Bairstow catches the ball, holds it, waits a moment for Patel to lift his foot off the ground (other foot outside of the crease) and stumps him. Patel didn't look back and probably assumed the ball was dead. English supports cheer Bairstow's brilliance. Hypocrisy much?
All the spin collapses when you see the footage of Jonny Bairstow's similar stumping of Samit Patel in 2014 while playing for Yorkshire against Nottinghamshire. Jonny is exposed as a hypocrite. And Brendan McCullums exact stumping of Paul Collingwood exposes him as a rolled gold hypocrite too. Stokes looks ridiculous too, but I do understand he has to clutch at straws. As for the oafs in the Long Room – just drunks and losers used to getting their own way… this gets no traction with Australians.
The World Cup was won over his controversial bat deflection so fair game Benjamin
it was a not out. simple
24/7 must be on 😂😂😂😂kudos to Australia 💕💕💕💕they utilise every opportunity…so i love aus team
