I just don't understand how it all got derailed. Injuries are going to happen but going from a great season last year and getting some upgrades over the winter meant a potential ring. The Mets are ridiculously bad and they're not looking at all like a wild card team. I like Showalter and I see the earnest desire by Cohen to win. 2023 is just another year where the Mets are irrelevant. 1986 is as such a long time ago

Being in first place in the division all but 6 days of last season only to blow it to the Braves, then being immediately bounced in the wildcard round has definitely bled over into this season. You don't just shrug something like that off. And they made some bad off-season decisions looking back in hindsight.
It's a marathon. We are only a little under 500 with half the season to play. Don't give up on these guys yet. They have the players to turn it around. Pitching is showing improvement. Our hitters will hit their groove again and our defense will be top 10 in the MLB by seasons end. Mr Cohen said help is on the way. You gotta believe!
