  1. I walked a nine hole practice round with Ian and his caddy at the Vines in Western Australia in 2009. Me and my mate walked up the the first tee and there was Ian about to tee off. we asked if he minded that we walked with him… and he said no probs…He was just amazing, really likeable, and chatty and genuinely and nice guy. We thanked him for letting us walk and chat…it was like we had just played a social round with him.

  2. Big Poulter fan from across the pond! He makes the Ryder cup so enjoyable to watch even though he’s on the other side.

  3. Hey Rick and Guy – great podcast – Ian poulter great bloke – humble and human🤗 hey Rick why did you keep looking at you’re phone – sure there was a good reason but looked a bit rude matey 🤔

  4. Not been a fan of Liv but to be fair just want everyone to get on with it now. Love how open and willing to discuss it he is. And generally seems a top guy. One of the better tour pro guests for sure. Gone up in my estimation a lot

  5. Of all the guys who joined LIV, I think Poulter had the least morally corrupt argument: look, I'm in my 40s, I'm barely making cuts anymore, and LIV offered me a way to keep playing.

    I get it.

  6. Great guy, what's not to like honest, straight, and not interested in politics, just golf and his family loved it 👍

  7. Love Poulter. Too bad he won't be a part of the Ryder Cup this year. He's so entertaining. The golf mandarins are behaving so badly. We need a LIV version of the cup – call it the West-Mick Cup.

  8. Ian has done well for a player of limited talent. The thing that annoys me a bit is that his achievements in the Ryder cup are totally overhyped mainly by British viewers. Medinah was very good the rest was mixed – check it out. Rick, he is not the biggest points scorer – get you facts straight. He' s not even top 10!!! Having said all this when you cut through the Bulsh that follows Ian I dont mind listening to him and I think its a pity that he couldn't have won more especially in America. I doubt he will play Ryder Cup again but maybe he might get to be captain in 5 or 6 years time when things settle down. At least he admitted that LIV was mainly a money decision…..

  9. Wonderful Podcast, thank you, BUT… Guy – you can’t wear a hat in the clubhouse, been a member since 95 and learnt my lesson when thrown out one afternoon as a 15 year old by Alex Hay… proud to still call it my home club

  10. This is gonna be the first podcast ep that I skip. Can't stand this guy. See you on the next

  11. What Poults did at Medinah will remain one of the greatest catalysts for winning the Ryder Cup ever, he single handedly deliverer belief to an entire team they could win. What a hero to Europe and pain in arse to USand we love him for it!!

  12. Great podcast but Jesus lads, who’s mixing the audio for the podcast when it’s at Woburn?

  13. As an American, Poulter is one of those guys you love to hate come Ryder cup time. I've always admired his passion… and when I saw him on the Full Swing series, I thought he was great.. looking forward to watching/hearing this podcast to see more of who he is.

  14. Great podcast gents, big fan of the postman who never fails to deliver. Look forward to the ten shot challenge. Kudos 👏

  15. A great great great interview, he is an absolute legend in the game and this interview proves it. To earn all the money he's earned in his career and to still be grounded and be focused on his family is absolutely amazing

  16. I love how people make athletes sound like the make so many sacrifices. They make millions go ask the single mom with two jobs not seeing their child just to provide food.

    Simply the best!!!!💪👍🙂

  18. Brilliant. The lads should be in the meetings between LIV and the PGA because they would certainly smooth the road forward! Ian came over brilliantly. Top man and very interesting listen.

  19. This was never going to be anything other then absolutely tremendous, GOATS of golfing YouTube/podcasts for a reason, cannot wait for the match 👏 👏 ❤️ ⛳️

  20. The Guy has given so much to the Ryder cup that I feel he deserves some slack, the Saudi thing is complex on many levels, but if any of us had the chance to earn the sort of cash and security for his family’s future I doubt we would say no. There is no shame in taking a commercial decision for you family and it’s future. No shame.
The guy is doing what 9 out of 10 people would do, which is put family ahead of reputation. It poor that it’s a decision that has consequences for his legacy but knowing that his kids and grandchildren will have a solid future probably makes him sleep easy.

  21. I am a GREAT Ian Poulter fan, have been for many years…looking forward to this…please blow me away!

  22. What a great watch it was fantastic to just listen to Ian Poulter talk and be honest and relaxed he is a great family man and I would love to go for a few beers with him I bet it would be a blast

  23. Fantastic interview. Candid, funny and incredibly honest. I think the way you and Guy put your questions across really got Ian talking. Thank you!

  24. Couple of years ago I was at Liberty NJ when he was exiting a player on course bathroom… a fan took a picture as he emerged… Poulter “I hope that was worth the wait”
