At UFC 235, Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones defended his title against Anthony Smith. Jones mostly cruised to a victory, but in the fourth round he was nearly disqualified for an illegal knee he threw while Smith was down on the canvas. Smith didn’t believe the illegal knee was intentional and decided to continue fighting. If Smith decided to not continue, he could’ve been awarded the victory and become the new UFC Light Heavyweight champion. But Smith says he didn’t want to win in that fashion.
