  1. The way my brain works and I can hit a draw/hook at will. I have to be aiming like said in this video, but my club face will also be square to the closed path and then I swing on that path (which will be inside) and I automatically without thinking close the club face at impact. I actually can hook it too much. Also a strong grip helps. The table tennis analogy is great too. I play(ed) a lot of table tennis in the past.

EDIT: Ohhh, the fade I struggle with and the grip change might be the reason with the trail hand. NICE!!

  2. Fabulous Matt, great content as usual. Eric is one hell of a coach.. Waddaplaya waddacoach 😎👍🏻

  3. I have always though of these shots as tennis moves. A draw is a forehand, and a fade is a cut shot… admittedly this makes me fight my hands a bit in the swing, but I find it easier to scale back from too much draw/fade than to initially learn how to do it.

  4. One of the things I've learned is to watch the shoulders. A fade will tend to have the lead shoulder higher. A draw will tend to have the follow shoulder higher.

  5. Great vid. Wow. Would love to see you break out the Eric videos into an individual playlist. What great content!

  6. straightforward explanation, a great video. Now time to go to the range and destroy my normal swing lol

  7. The draw is my hardest shot. It usually looks like a pull rather than a sling. Fade is my bread and butter. But I would donate a kidney for a practice ground like that. Eric is the man, I will be working on this.

  8. This is ONE HELL of a great lesson! I biggest trouble I have is minding the clubface; you've got to pay attention to it, every single time.

  9. I like how Matt pretended like he didn't know how to do a draw and a fade after all these years. 😀

  10. I could have used this a couple days ago. I was behind a tree on a few holes. I tried to do a cut shot on one of the holes but didn't have the mechanics right and ended up catching a branch of the tree.

  11. Love the video. Very informative for those of use who slice or hook the ball as well. Just wondering what sort of distance you would expect to get from the 2 different clubs.

  12. Playa in cheif! We crushed 90 today!! 86 with a 41 on the front 9! 2 birds and 11 fairways!! No 3 putts and my best 18 hole score yet! Stress free 😄 and the 6 holes were in the pouring rain! Wadda life!

  13. You know all this, though, Matt. You've hit intentional draws and fades for years. I get that you want to show the playas, but you're a top 1% golfer.

  14. What was most
Interesting for me what the grip part.
Would be super interesting to have a whole short video on grip alone!
