The way my brain works and I can hit a draw/hook at will. I have to be aiming like said in this video, but my club face will also be square to the closed path and then I swing on that path (which will be inside) and I automatically without thinking close the club face at impact. I actually can hook it too much. Also a strong grip helps. The table tennis analogy is great too. I play(ed) a lot of table tennis in the past.
EDIT: Ohhh, the fade I struggle with and the grip change might be the reason with the trail hand. NICE!!

I have always though of these shots as tennis moves. A draw is a forehand, and a fade is a cut shot… admittedly this makes me fight my hands a bit in the swing, but I find it easier to scale back from too much draw/fade than to initially learn how to do it.

One of the things I've learned is to watch the shoulders. A fade will tend to have the lead shoulder higher. A draw will tend to have the follow shoulder higher.

The draw is my hardest shot. It usually looks like a pull rather than a sling. Fade is my bread and butter. But I would donate a kidney for a practice ground like that. Eric is the man, I will be working on this.

This is ONE HELL of a great lesson! I biggest trouble I have is minding the clubface; you've got to pay attention to it, every single time.

I could have used this a couple days ago. I was behind a tree on a few holes. I tried to do a cut shot on one of the holes but didn't have the mechanics right and ended up catching a branch of the tree.
Love the video. Very informative for those of use who slice or hook the ball as well. Just wondering what sort of distance you would expect to get from the 2 different clubs.
