Somebody needs to make a desperate hackers invention museum.
Swinging left looks good.
Brendan how does this compare to the gem in terms of transferring the motion to your actual swing ?
For good golfers, the swing comes pretty naturally, for most, you're just chasing an unattainable goal and blowing money on junk like this.
Best looking shots I’ve seen you hit🕺
Just looking at the aid it looks functional and helpful, but I feel like its more for 40-60 swing shots. Most peoples fault is from the top of the golf swing, getting the ball back on plane. I'm not going to knock it until I try it though, I'm willing to walk 20 miles in soft sand if a good golf swing is at the end.
I was wondering what you were doing on that range last night!!
Brendon, from an engineer perspective I think the reason this swing aid works is the high resistance it has against rotating about an axis running down the centre of the the board compared to that of a club rotating about the axis of the shaft. This means that if you start to rotate it about the “shaft” axis it will want to keep rotating about that axis and you will have to fight to get it back on plane.
Your natural tendency swinging the aid will then be to avoid this “shaft” rotation. As the actual club lacks resistance (moment of inertia) to rotating about the shaft axis you can’t feel what it is like to swing without shaft rotation.
Beyond silly. First, there are loads of similar training aids dating back 20-30 years ago so nothing new.
Further, thing does nothing for the full swing. All sorts of issues can arise at the top of the swing even though you’re initially on plane.
I’ve used the Explanar for years and not only can you practice w a full swing, but your also using a weighted club and a complete backswing and forward swing.
golfers will buy anything twice.
Are you still playing the Srixon irons? I hit a new zx7 8i the other day, very nice!
I wondered what happen to Joe Madden after he was fired from the Angels
Hi Brendon I got a special sale that will cost you absolutely nothing!
It is guaranteed to make you feel the weight of any club head in your hands as you swing it back and forth. It is the only thing the body needs to create the correct angular momentum for both your body and your club head working in harmony together from the very start to the finish of your swing.
What is it? Your trail little finger! Guaranteed for a lifetime of great golf!
Like anything else you used in the past simply start with small back and forth pendulum swings. and then using your eyes and hand coordinates to expand to a full swing.
Your body and mind will learn quickly how to do the compound pivot movement of linear and rotation together. Like love & marriage you can never have one without the other.
No Joke! This works! Cheers 👍⛳️😃🥂
I want to see a video of the old man playing golf….just to make sure it works ….
best swings I've seen you make. Percy Boomer said all of golf is opposition
Another connection to make money I guess. This channel is turning into a store. Trying to make a living I guess. Is $250 ridiculous? I would say yes. It really doesn’t do much. Absolute beginner tool maybe. I have a plane tool idea that works over your shoulders and is much more efficient and useful for probably under $100. Not in a rush to market at this stage but maybe I’ll get around to sending him a prototype eventually.
Medicine ball drill
nope….swing fan works great, and develops power….this creation looks took heavy, awkward, tough to transport, etc
I hope nobody throws away money buying this thing. If you want to learn what it is to be on plane, do what 90% of tour pros do, take a couple of gloves and place them under your arm pits and proceed to hit waist high to waist high shots using your torso. There, I saved all you lazy 10 handicappers $250. No substitute for quality practice. Golfer's are the worst case of throwing money at a problem rather than earning it in the dirt as Tiger said. The whole industry is built on it, from "anti-slice" drivers, to swing gurus to training aid gizmos.
insert futurama “shut up and take my money!!!” gif here
It’s basically the wrecking ball drill. Literally nothing new here. People been doing this drill for decades. Dr kwon wasn’t the first to do this by long shot
Good for learning chip shots? And weight transfer? Full shots require the forearms/wrists to roll to arm/cock?
I am 86 yes old whenI first took up golf our local golf pro David Millar used a similar idea a bucket filled with water when on plane h did not spill any of it 65 yrs ago does not change a lot from old idea's
That is paraphernalia for lost and desperate souls.
Please review the Performance Golf Straight Stick advertised by Rocco Mediate right before your video here.
Wonder he doesn't use one handle like a golf club.
I can see that working.
Hey Brendon. The GEM on a golf club comes to mind.😊
Like the plane aspect, but looks like it causes the hands to flip at, or before, contact. No?
lol
This new training aid highlights one major problem that many golfers have when trying to implement Dr Kwon’s teaching
The demonstration of this aid shows the golfer moving the outside of the left hip beyond the outside of the left heel. The problem when doing this is that the left hip runs out of range of motion thus reducing the ability of the left hip socket to move back and the pelvis to rotate .
Mr Hogan did not move the outside of his left hip beyond his left heel. And neither do notable long drivers such as Dustin , Bryson , Cameron Champ or Kyle Berkshire among others .
I would die to have a range I could use at night, yours is so well lit and looks in great shape, lucky you! 🙂
It's a nice idea but we don't swing a golf club by "keeping the face square to the target line," as the inventor said. That's not how a golf club works. The clubface is only square to the target line as the ball leaves the clubface, not before. The last thing you want is to hold the clubface square while you're swinging. Not only would you have a awkward swing but also a weaker strike. Imagine Jon Rahm swinging this thing – he would be doing exactly what you demonstrated as the wrong thing to do.
Tin cup approved
It’s hydrodynamic in water.
This contraption will never help anyone. Go get yourself a weighted driver and swing it. At least you’ll apply your hands to the weighted driver with an actual golf grip. Amateur golfers are by far and away the most naive group of desperate consumers alive.
Is there a lefty model yet???
Centrifugal force? Reminds me of how coaches teach you how to turn a motorcycle at high speed by holding a wheel from the center axis and slightly adjusting your hands to move the wheel. Move too much – catastrophe. Move too little – your going to be passed. How I’ll translate this into my golf swing – let the swing come natural.
Hard to keep up with all these training aids. Does this one train you in the same way as the GEM attachment to your club?
What range is that? Phoenix area?
Can't we just do this with a medicine ball?
Have you released the video with the larger fuller swings yet? I could not find it. This video was very helpful. Perhaps you could combine the range portion of this video with a fuller larger swing video?
When will be Erikson Bell be on the market?? Likely cost??
I am a TPI certified golf fitness instructor and have already used this aid several times to demonstrate the feel when other methods were, for whatever reason, not working: The shift then turn feel that we all perceive differently. (Daniel Khanemen won the Nobel prize demonstrating that our biggest bias is thinking everybody thinks and feels the same way as we do. This explains many of the comments on this thread! ) More options are generally better. Still not completely sure which club to use initially but a mid iron seems reasonable.
Great
Still
Like the e-bell?
What is the wheel video your referring to?
This can be done with a weighted club . Or a baseball donut at the bottom of the club . $3.00
