Your RB conversation is good, BUT…… need to apply that to running QBs! Have 4-5 of them. Throwing RBs, running RBs, and receiving RBs (in the slot). This is how you play $$ ball and WIN, if you don’t have a top 6 QB!! Develop an offense (Tebow offense) and widen the QB talent pool, by lowering the number of “NFL” throws 😂🤔🤯🤯🧨.
The science is there, it's inevitable that the game is going in another direction from the RB. All my years of being a Viking/Football fan the RB was always the catapult of the team. Barry Sanders, Faulk, LT, Eddie George, Robert Smith, AD ETC. I'm just gonna miss those days.

Well, then I hope that the Vikings are preparing for life without a running game, because unless McBride turns into the Vikings' version of Jordan Howard, that's exactly what they're going to wind up with. Are you aware of all of the runs for negative yardage, that Cook had last season? That's not on Cook, that's on the O line. A good O line should get a running back 3 yards and then the rest is on them. Without Cook's long touchdown runs and timely TD receptions against the Dolphins, Commanders, Bills and Colts, the Vikings almost surely don't win those 4 games. Cook and Gary Kubiak's run blocking scheme, helped to disguise, just how mediocre the run blocking of the Vikings O line, has actually been, but Mensah and O'Connell are about to find out!

I'll disagree with Judd's take on rb contracts. Perfect example would be this. Who has had more of an inpact on the Chargers–Austin Ekeler or Bosa? Ekeler is getting paid like a 4th of what bosa is and no question Ekeler has had way more production

I say Vikings trade cook to Miami for a 5th next year that's my opinion and my view and I'll stick by it until it doesn't happen I'm so sure of it
You guys are wrong about the O line being good at run blocking. Dalvin was being hit before the line of scrimmage every other run. Honestly you guys are far too comfortable with the O line overall when in reality the run blocking was bottom of the league and Kirk had most pressures or hits of his career I believe.

I hear you but will push back a bit. Mattison is getting like 6m a year and Dalvin like 10, right? So the 4mm difference is marginal. The difference between winning and losing in this league is marginal. Dalvin broke 2-3 plays in clutch spots last year that won us games (Miami, Buffalo, and I think one other game). In that kight is 2-3 wins worth the 4mm premium?

I had CMC on my fantasy team. He barely constitutes as a RB. He can catch like a WR. He can throw. He could play QB. He made one of the prettiest over the shoulder catches on the end zone I have ever seen a RB make
Instead of saying take rb in round 2. The vikings need to just snag guy with best value, so only way take someone in round 2, should be a 1st round grade in their draft board and a consensus first round guy ideally top 15 projection AND have a distinguishing trait. To the house speed, top shelf routes and hands, or best pass blocker. Unless the team is stacked every where there will always be positions that the draft is only chance of getting a difference maker without breaking the bank. Love this year's draft class – hopefully we will be able to say that 3 years from now. Can't wait to see our rbs this year. * side note I'd trade Kene if anyone offers a 4 or 5

I surprised more have not commented on what Judd noticed about the new banner. Not only is Kirk in back, his image is slightly smaller than Mattison's. What's more, he's the only one not facing forward. Throwing to the side out of the picture. Could be nothing, but could also be taken as a subliminal message that he is on his way out.
